Given any Kodaira curve C in a complex surface X, we construct a simply-laced affine Lie algebra bundle \(\mathcal {E}\) over X. When \( p _{g}(X)=0\), we construct deformations of holomorphic structures on \(\mathcal {E}\) such that the new bundle is trivial over any ADE curve \( C^{\prime }\) inside C and therefore descends to the singular surface obtained by contracting \(C^{\prime }\).  相似文献

We prove that for each prime p, positive integer \(\alpha \), and non-negative integers \(\beta \) and \(\gamma \), the Diophantine equation \(X^{2N} + 2^{2\alpha }5^{2\beta }{p}^{2\gamma } = Z^5\) has no solution with N, X, \(Z\in \mathbb {Z}^+\), \(N > 1\), and \(\gcd (X,Z) = 1\).  相似文献

Let p be an odd prime number and \(\ell \) an odd prime number dividing \(p-1\). We denote by \(F=F_{p,\ell }\) the real abelian field of conductor p and degree \(\ell \), and by \(h_F\) the class number of F. For a prime number \(r \ne p,\,\ell \), let \(F_{\infty }\) be the cyclotomic \(\mathbb {Z}_r\)-extension over F, and \(M_{\infty }/F_{\infty }\) the maximal pro-r abelian extension unramified outside r. We prove that \(M_{\infty }\) coincides with \(F_{\infty }\) and consequently \(h_F\) is not divisible by r when r is a primitive root modulo \(\ell \) and r is smaller than an explicit constant depending on p.  相似文献

Let A be a Banach algebra with a bounded left approximate identity \(\{e_\lambda \}_{\lambda \in \Lambda }\), let \(\pi \) be a continuous representation of A on a Banach space X, and let S be a non-empty subset of X such that \(\lim _{\lambda }\pi (e_\lambda )s=s\) uniformly on S. If S is bounded, or if \(\{e_\lambda \}_{\lambda \in \Lambda }\) is commutative, then we show that there exist \(a\in A\) and maps \(x_n: S\rightarrow X\) for \(n\ge 1\) such that \(s=\pi (a^n)x_n(s)\) for all \(n\ge 1\) and \(s\in S\). The properties of \(a\in A\) and the maps \(x_n\), as produced by the constructive proof, are studied in some detail. The results generalize previous simultaneous factorization theorems as well as Allan and Sinclair’s power factorization theorem. In an ordered context, we also consider the existence of a positive factorization for a subset of the positive cone of an ordered Banach space that is a positive module over an ordered Banach algebra with a positive bounded left approximate identity. Such factorizations are not always possible. In certain cases, including those for positive modules over ordered Banach algebras of bounded functions, such positive factorizations exist, but the general picture is still unclear. Furthermore, simultaneous pointwise power factorizations for sets of bounded maps with values in a Banach module (such as sets of bounded convergent nets) are obtained. A worked example for the left regular representation of \(\mathrm {C}_0({\mathbb R})\) and unbounded S is included.  相似文献

Let X and \(X^*\) denote a restricted ray transform along curves and a corresponding backprojection operator, respectively. Theoretical analysis of reconstruction from the data Xf is usually based on a study of the composition \(X^* D X\), where D is some local operator (usually a derivative). If \(X^*\) is chosen appropriately, then \(X^* D X\) is a Fourier integral operator (FIO) with singular symbol. The singularity of the symbol leads to the appearance of artifacts (added singularities) that can be as strong as the original (or, useful) singularities. By choosing D in a special way one can reduce the strength of added singularities, but it is impossible to get rid of them completely. In the paper we follow a similar approach, but make two changes. First, we replace D with a nonlocal operator \(\tilde{D}\) that integrates Xf along a curve in the data space. The result \(\tilde{D} Xf\) resembles the generalized Radon transform R of f. The function \(\tilde{D} Xf\) is defined on pairs \((x_0,\Theta )\in U\times S^2\), where \(U\subset {\mathbb R}^3\) is an open set containing the support of f, and \(S^2\) is the unit sphere in \({\mathbb R}^3\). Second, we replace \(X^*\) with a backprojection operator \(R^*\) that integrates with respect to \(\Theta \) over \(S^2\). It turns out that if \(\tilde{D}\) and \(R^*\) are appropriately selected, then the composition \(R^* \tilde{D} X\) is an elliptic pseudodifferential operator of order zero with principal symbol 1. Thus, we obtain an approximate reconstruction formula that recovers all the singularities correctly and does not produce artifacts. The advantage of our approach is that by inserting \(\tilde{D}\) we get access to the frequency variable \(\Theta \). In particular, we can incorporate suitable cut-offs in \(R^*\) to eliminate bad directions \(\Theta \), which lead to added singularities.  相似文献

Let mn be positive integers and p a prime. We denote by \(\nu (G)\) an extension of the non-abelian tensor square \(G \otimes G\) by \(G \times G\). We prove that if G is a residually finite group satisfying some non-trivial identity \(f \equiv ~1\) and for every \(x,y \in G\) there exists a p-power \(q=q(x,y)\) such that \([x,y^{\varphi }]^q = 1\), then the derived subgroup \(\nu (G)'\) is locally finite (Theorem A). Moreover, we show that if G is a residually finite group in which for every \(x,y \in G\) there exists a p-power \(q=q(x,y)\) dividing \(p^m\) such that \([x,y^{\varphi }]^q\) is left n-Engel, then the non-abelian tensor square \(G \otimes G\) is locally virtually nilpotent (Theorem B).  相似文献

Let G be a Polish locally compact group acting on a Polish space \({{X}}\) with a G-invariant probability measure \(\mu \). We factorize the integral with respect to \(\mu \) in terms of the integrals with respect to the ergodic measures on X, and show that \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}},\mu )\) (\(1\le p<\infty \)) is G-equivariantly isometrically lattice isomorphic to an \({\mathrm {L}^p}\)-direct integral of the spaces \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}},\lambda )\), where \(\lambda \) ranges over the ergodic measures on X. This yields a disintegration of the canonical representation of G as isometric lattice automorphisms of \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}},\mu )\) as an \({\mathrm {L}^p}\)-direct integral of order indecomposable representations. If \(({{X}}^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) is a probability space, and, for some \(1\le q<\infty \), G acts in a strongly continuous manner on \(\mathrm {L}^{q}({{X}}^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) as isometric lattice automorphisms that leave the constants fixed, then G acts on \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}}^{\prime },\mu ^{\prime })\) in a similar fashion for all \(1\le p<\infty \). Moreover, there exists an alternative model in which these representations originate from a continuous action of G on a compact Hausdorff space. If \(({{X}}^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) is separable, the representation of G on \(\mathrm {L}^p(X^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) can then be disintegrated into order indecomposable representations. The notions of \({\mathrm {L}^p}\)-direct integrals of Banach spaces and representations that are developed extend those in the literature.  相似文献

Let \(\mathcal {A}\subset \left( {\begin{array}{c}[n]\\ r\end{array}}\right) \) be a compressed, intersecting family and let \(X\subset [n]\). Let \(\mathcal {A}(X)=\{A\in \mathcal {A}:A\cap X\ne \emptyset \}\) and \(\mathcal {S}_{n,r}=\left( {\begin{array}{c}[n]\\ r\end{array}}\right) (\{1\})\). Motivated by the Erd?s–Ko–Rado theorem, Borg asked for which \(X\subset [2,n]\) do we have \(|\mathcal {A}(X)|\le |\mathcal {S}_{n,r}(X)|\) for all compressed, intersecting families \(\mathcal {A}\)? We call X that satisfy this property EKR. Borg classified EKR sets X such that \(|X|\ge r\). Barber classified X, with \(|X|\le r\), such that X is EKR for sufficiently large n, and asked how large n must be. We prove n is sufficiently large when n grows quadratically in r. In the case where \(\mathcal {A}\) has a maximal element, we sharpen this bound to \(n>\varphi ^{2}r\) implies \(|\mathcal {A}(X)|\le |\mathcal {S}_{n,r}(X)|\). We conclude by giving a generating function that speeds up computation of \(|\mathcal {A}(X)|\) in comparison with the naïve methods.  相似文献

Let \(X=\mathscr {J}(\widetilde{\mathscr {C}})\), the Jacobian of a genus 2 curve \(\widetilde{\mathscr {C}}\) over \({\mathbb {C}}\), and let Y be the associated Kummer surface. Consider an ample line bundle \(L=\mathscr {O}(m\widetilde{\mathscr {C}})\) on X for an even number m, and its descent to Y, say \(L'\). We show that any dominating component of \({\mathscr {W}}^1_{d}(|L'|)\) corresponds to \(\mu _{L'}\)-stable Lazarsfeld–Mukai bundles on Y. Further, for a smooth curve \(C\in |L|\) and a base-point free \(g^1_d\) on C, say (AV), we study the \(\mu _L\)-semistability of the rank-2 Lazarsfeld–Mukai bundle associated to (C, (AV)) on X. Under certain assumptions on C and the \(g^1_d\), we show that the above Lazarsfeld–Mukai bundles are \(\mu _L\)-semistable.  相似文献

Let X be a Hausdorff topological space, and let \({\mathscr {B}}_1(X)\) denote the space of all real Baire-one functions defined on X. Let A be a nonempty subset of X endowed with the topology induced from X, and let \({\mathscr {F}}(A)\) be the set of functions \(A\rightarrow {\mathbb R}\) with a property \({\mathscr {F}}\) making \({\mathscr {F}}(A)\) a linear subspace of \({\mathscr {B}}_1(A)\). We give a sufficient condition for the existence of a linear extension operator \(T_A:{\mathscr {F}}(A)\rightarrow {\mathscr {F}}(X)\), where \({\mathscr {F}}\) means to be piecewise continuous on a sequence of closed and \(G_\delta \) subsets of X and is denoted by \({\mathscr {P}_0}\). We show that \(T_A\) restricted to bounded elements of \({\mathscr {F}}(A)\) endowed with the supremum norm is an isometry. As a consequence of our main theorem, we formulate the conclusion about existence of a linear extension operator for the classes of Baire-one-star and piecewise continuous functions.  相似文献

In classical topology, it is proved that for a topological space X, every bounded Riesz map \(\varphi :C (X) \rightarrow {\mathbb {R}}\) is of the from \({\hat{x}}\) for a point \(x\in X\). In this paper, our main purpose is to prove a version of this result by lattice-valued maps. A ring representation of the from \(A\rightarrow {\mathbb {R}}\) is constructed. This representation is denoted by \(\widetilde{p_c}\) that is an onto f-ring homomorphism for every \(p\in \Sigma L\), where its index c, denotes a cozero lattice-valued map. Also, it is shown that for every Riesz map \(\phi :A\rightarrow {\mathbb {R}} \) and \(c\in F(A, L)\) with specific properties, there exists \(p\in \Sigma L\) such that \(\phi =\phi (1)\widetilde{p_c}\).  相似文献

Let X be a real Hilbert space and \(X^{*}\) its dual space. Let A be a strongly positive operator from X to \(X^{*}\). Sufficient conditions are provided to assert that a compact perturbation of A reaches a fixed value at least once and at most finitely many times. When the compact perturbation is linear, the value is reached just once. The same conclusions are obtained when operators map the space X into itself. As an application of our results two examples are given related to some types of integral equations. The proof of results is constructive and is based upon a continuation method.  相似文献

Let q be a prime and A a finite q-group of exponent q acting by automorphisms on a finite \(q'\)-group G. Assume that A has order at least \(q^3\). We show that if \(\gamma _{\infty } (C_{G}(a))\) has order at most m for any \(a \in A^{\#}\), then the order of \(\gamma _{\infty } (G)\) is bounded solely in terms of m and q. If \(\gamma _{\infty } (C_{G}(a))\) has rank at most r for any \(a \in A^{\#}\), then the rank of \(\gamma _{\infty } (G)\) is bounded solely in terms of r and q.  相似文献

Denote by \({{\mathcal {G}}}_k(V)\) the Grassmannian of the k-subspaces of a vector space V over a field \({\mathbb {K}}\). There is a natural correspondence between hyperplanes H of \({\mathcal {G}}_k(V)\) and alternating k-linear forms on V defined up to a scalar multiple. Given a hyperplane H of \({{\mathcal {G}}_k}(V)\), we define a subspace \(R^{\uparrow }(H)\) of \({{\mathcal {G}}_{k-1}}(V)\) whose elements are the \((k-1)\)-subspaces A such that all k-spaces containing A belong to H. When \(n-k\) is even, \(R^{\uparrow }(H)\) might be empty; when \(n-k\) is odd, each element of \({\mathcal {G}}_{k-2}(V)\) is contained in at least one element of \(R^{\uparrow }(H)\). In the present paper, we investigate several properties of \(R^{\uparrow }(H)\), settle some open problems and propose a conjecture.  相似文献

In this paper, a complete classification is achieved of all the regular covers of the complete bipartite graphs \(K_{n,n}\) with cyclic covering transformation group, whose fibre-preserving automorphism group acts 2-arc-transitively. All these covers consist of one threefold covers of \(K_{6,6}\), one twofold cover of \(K_{12, 12}\) and one infinite family X(rp) of p-fold covers of \(K_{p^r,p^r}\) with p a prime and r an integer such that \(p^r\ge 3\). This infinite family X(rp) can be derived by a very simple and nice voltage assignment f as follows: \(X(r, p)=K_{p^r, p^r}\times _f \mathbb {Z}_p\), where \(K_{p^r, p^r}\) is a complete bipartite graph with the bipartition \(V=\{ \alpha \bigm |\alpha \in V(r,p)\}\cup \{ \alpha '\bigm |\alpha \in V(r,p)\}\) for the r-dimensional vector space V(rp) over the field of order p and \(f_{\alpha ,\beta '}=\sum _{i=1}^ra_ib_i,\,\, \mathrm{for\,\,all}\,\,\alpha =(a_i)_r, \beta =(b_i)_r\in V(r,p)\).  相似文献

In this paper we introduce the notion of \(Z_{\delta }\)-continuity as a generalization of precontinuity, complete continuity and \(s_{2}\)-continuity, where Z is a subset selection. And for each poset P, a closure space \(Z^{c}_{\delta }(P)\) arises naturally. For any subset system Z, we define a new type of completion, called \(Z_{\delta }\)-completion, extending each poset P to a Z-complete poset. The main results are: (1) if a subset system Z is subset-hereditary, then \(cl_{Z}(\Psi (P))\), the Z-closure of all principal ideals \(\Psi (P)\) of poset P in \(Z^{c}_{\delta }(P)\), is a \(Z_{\delta }\)-completion of P and \(Z^{c}_{\delta }(P) \cong Z^{c}_{\delta }(cl_{Z}(\Psi (P)))\); (2) let Z be an HUL-system and P a \(Z_{\delta }\)-continuous poset, then the \(Z_{\delta }\)-completion of P is also \(Z_{\delta }\)-continuous, and a Z-complete poset L is a \(Z_{\delta }\)-completion of P iff P is an embedded \(Z_{\delta }\)-basis of L; (3) the Dedekind–MacNeille completion is a special case of the \(Z_{\delta }\)-completion.  相似文献

Let \( \gamma = \frac{1}{2}\left( {1 + \sqrt {5} } \right) \) denote the golden ratio. H. Davenport and W. M. Schmidt showed in 1969 that, for each non-quadratic irrational real number ξ, there exists a constant c > 0 with the property that, for arbitrarily large values of X, the inequalities\( \left| {{x_0}} \right| \leqslant X,\,\,\,\left| {{x_0}\xi - {x_1}} \right| \leqslant c{X^{{{{ - 1}} \left/ {\gamma } \right.}}}\,\,\,{\text{and}}\,\,\,\left| {{x_0}{\xi^2} - {x_2}} \right| \leqslant c{X^{{{{ - 1}} \left/ {\gamma } \right.}}} \)admit no non-zero solution \( \left( {{x_0},{x_1},{x_2}} \right) \in {\mathbb{Z}^3} \). Their result is best possible in the sense that, conversely, there are countably many non-quadratic irrational real numbers ξ such that, for a larger value of c, the same inequalities admit a non-zero integer solution for each X ≥ 1. Such extremal numbers are transcendental and their set is stable under the action of \( {\text{G}}{{\text{L}}_2}\left( \mathbb{Z} \right) \) on \( \mathbb{R}\backslash \mathbb{Q} \) by linear fractional transformations. In this paper, it is shown that there exist extremal numbers ξ for which the Lagrange constant ν(ξ) = liminf q→∞ q||qξ|| is \( \frac{1}{3} \), the largest possible value for a non-quadratic number, and that there is a natural bijection between the \( {\text{G}}{{\text{L}}_2}\left( \mathbb{Z} \right) \)-equivalence classes of such numbers and the non-trivial solutions of Markoff’s equation.  相似文献

We study the \(\kappa \)-Borel-reducibility of isomorphism relations of complete first order theories in a countable language and show the consistency of the following: For all such theories T and \(T^{\prime }\), if T is classifiable and \(T^{\prime }\) is not, then the isomorphism of models of \(T^{\prime }\) is strictly above the isomorphism of models of T with respect to \(\kappa \)-Borel-reducibility. In fact, we can also ensure that a range of equivalence relations modulo various non-stationary ideals are strictly between those isomorphism relations. The isomorphism relations are considered on models of some fixed uncountable cardinality obeying certain restrictions.  相似文献
