Recent development in oscillatory properties of certain differential equations

In this paper, we summarize some recent oscillation criteria for second order nonlinear differential equations and systems of differential equations, some known oscillation criteria for second order linear differential equations are also involved, and we point out the origin of theses criteria.     

OSCILLATION CRITERIA FOR SECOND ORDER DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS OF NEUTRAL TYPE WITH MIXED ARGUMENTS

In this paper, we establish some new oscillation criteria for second order difference equations of neutral type with mixed arguments. We extend some known oscillation criteria for second order difference equations.     

非奇异H-矩阵的一类新判定

本文研究了非奇异H-矩阵的数值判定问题.利用不等式的放缩方法,获得了一类判别非奇异H-矩阵的新判据,推广了相关已有结果,并通过数值实例说明了本文结果判断范围的更广泛性.

Schönemann–Eisenstein–Dumas-Type Irreducibility Conditions that Use Arbitrarily Many Prime Numbers

The famous irreducibility criteria of Schönemann–Eisenstein and Dumas rely on information on the divisibility of the coefficients of a polynomial by a single prime number. In this paper, we will use some results and ideas of Dumas to provide several irreducibility criteria of Schönemann–Eisenstein–Dumas-type for polynomials with integer coefficients, criteria that are given by some divisibility conditions for their coefficients with respect to arbitrarily many prime numbers. A special attention will be paid to those irreducibility criteria that require information on the divisibility of the coefficients by two distinct prime numbers.

本文通过作者提出的区间矩阵离散稳定性的概念,结合矩阵理论的方法,给出了灰色离散线性系统稳定性及不稳定性的一些实用代数判据.另外,本文还给出了区间矩阵稳定的几个简洁判据.最后给出了应用实例.     

Stability analysis of impulsive switched systems with time delays

In this paper, exponential stability criteria of impulsive switched systems with variable delays are introduced. Based on some impulsive delay differential inequalities, some general criteria for the exponential stability are obtained. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the theory.     

Controllability and observability of a class of linear impulsive systems

This paper studies the controllability and observability of a class of linear piecewise constant impulsive systems. Necessary and sufficient criteria for reachability and controllability are established, respectively. It is proved that the reachability is equivalent to the controllability under some mild conditions. Then, necessary and sufficient criteria for observability and determinability of such systems are established, respectively. It is also proved that the observability is equivalent to the determinability under some mild conditions. Our criteria are of geometric type, they can be transformed into algebraic type conveniently. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the utility of our criteria.     

Square-free criteria for polynomials using no derivatives

We provide some square-free criteria for primitive polynomials over unique factorization domains, which do not make use of derivatives or discriminants. Using some ideas of Ostrowski we establish nonvanishing conditions for determinants of matrices with polynomial entries and deduce square-free criteria for polynomials in several variables.

     

Weak base g-functions and metrizability of topological spaces

We present some criteria for the metrizability of a topological space in terms of weak base g-functions and with these criteria we improve some results on metrizability that appeared in literature. Moreover, we answer a question posed in Li (2008) [7].     

Criteria and dimension reduction of linear multiple criteria optimization problems

Two of the main approaches in multiple criteria optimization are optimization over the efficient set and utility function program. These are nonconvex optimization problems in which local optima can be different from global optima. Existing global optimization methods for solving such problems can only work well for problems of moderate dimensions. In this article, we propose some ways to reduce the number of criteria and the dimension of a linear multiple criteria optimization problem. By the concept of so-called representative and extreme criteria, which is motivated by the concept of redundant (or nonessential) objective functions of Gal and Leberling, we can reduce the number of criteria without altering the set of efficient solutions. Furthermore, by using linear independent criteria, the linear multiple criteria optimization problem under consideration can be transformed into an equivalent linear multiple criteria optimization problem in the space of linear independent criteria. This equivalence is understood in a sense that efficient solutions of each problem can be derived from efficient solutions of the other by some affine transformation. As a result, such criteria and dimension reduction techniques could help to increase the efficiency of existing algorithms and to develop new methods for handling global optimization problems arisen from multiple objective optimization.     

OSCILLATION FOR NONLINEAR SECOND-ORDER DYNAMIC EQUATIONS ON TIME SCALES

Through the use of generalized Riccati transformation techniques, we establish some oscillation criteria for one type of nonlinear dynamic equation on time scales. Several examples, including a semilinear dynamic equation and a nonlinear Emden-Fowler dynamic equation, are also given to illustrate these criteria and to improve the results obtained in some references.     

Criterion for the Lower Semicontinuity of the Energy Functional of a Two-Phase Elastic Medium

We study criteria for the weak semicontinuity of some energy functionals and useful consequences of such criteria. Bibliography: 5 titles.     

GENERALIZED RICCATI TRANSFORMATION AND OSCILLATION FOR LINEAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH DAMPING

Using generalized Riccati transformation, some new oscillation criteria for damped linear differential equations are established. These results improve and generalize some known oscillation criteria due to A.Wintner, I.V.Kamenev for the undamped linear differential equations, and Sobol, J.S.W.Wong for the damped linear differential equations.     

高阶具非线性中立项不稳定型时滞微分方程的振动性和非振动性

在α>1,且0<β<α情性下研究了高阶具非线性中立项不稳定型时滞微分方程[x(t)-pxα(t-τ)](n)=q(t)xβ(t-σ),(t≥t0)的振动和非振动性.利用一些新的技巧,获得了上述方程有界解振动的振动准则和至少存在一个非振动解的非振动准则,所得结果补充和推广了已有文献部分结果.

Using the method of interval integral average, we establish some new oscillation criteria which improve the oscillation criteria due to James S.W. Wong.

研究了一类时滞离散神经网络指数稳定及鲁棒稳定问题.结合线性矩阵不等式技术,构造了一个新的广义李亚普诺夫函数,得到了新的指数稳定条件.数值算例表明与以往文献中的结果相比,新准则具有较弱的保守性.     

指数型二分性和周期系统的周期解

先讨论指数型二分性成立的条件，在某种意义下推广了Ｌａｚｅｒ关于二分性的结果，之后，我们用该结论探讨Ｌａｓｏｔａ－Ｏｐｉｕｌ方程及方程ｘ＝ｆ（ｔ，ｘ），ｆ（ｔ＋ｗ，ｘ）＝ｆ（ｔ，ｘ），ｆ（ｔ，ｘ）∈Ｃ’（Ｒ＊Ｒ＾ｎ，Ｒ＾ｎ）的周期解的存在性，推广了文「２」的主要结果，并得到一些新的结果。     

判定二阶线性矩阵微分系统振动性的新准则

利用一个线性变换给出了二阶矩陈微分系统(P(t)X′(t))′+Q(t)X(t)=0 t∈[t_0,∞)的振动性的新的判定准则,从而推广和改进了前人的结论.     

OSCILLATION OF SECOND-ORDER NEUTRAL DYNAMIC FUNCTIONAL EQUATIONS

In this paper we establish some oscillation criteria for the second-order neutral dynamic delay equations on time scales. By using the generalized Riccati technique, new oscillation criteria are obtained.
