Hilbert Space of Probability Density Functions Based on Aitchison Geometry   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
The set of probability functions is a convex subset of L1 and it does not have a linear space structure when using ordinary sum and multiplication by real constants. Moreover, difficulties arise when dealing with distances between densities. The crucial point is that usual distances are not invariant under relevant transformations of densities. To overcome these limitations, Aitchison's ideas on compositional data analysis are used, generalizing perturbation and power transformation, as well as the Aitchison inner product, to operations on probability density functions with support on a finite interval. With these operations at hand, it is shown that the set of bounded probability density functions on finite intervals is a pre-Hilbert space. A Hilbert space of densities, whose logarithm is square-integrable, is obtained as the natural completion of the pre-Hilbert space.  相似文献

A Furstenberg family F is a family,consisting of some subsets of the set of positive integers,which is hereditary upwards,i.e.A■B and A∈F imply B∈F.For a given system (i.e.,a pair of a complete metric space and a continuous self-map of the space) and for a Furstenberg family F, the definition of F-scrambled pairs of points in the space has been given,which brings the well-known scrambled pairs in Li-Yorke sense and the scrambled pairs in distribution sense to be F-scrambled pairs corresponding respectively to suitable Furstenberg family F.In the present paper we explore the basic properties of the set of F-scrambled pairs of a system.The generically F-chaotic system and the generically strongly F-chaotic system are defined.A criterion for a generically strongly F-chaotic system is showed.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of biholomorphic mappings named quasi-convex mapping of order a in the unit ball of a complex Banach space is introduced. When the Banach space is confined to Cn, we obtain the relation between this class of mappings and the convex mappings. Furthermore, the growth and covering theorems of this class of mappings are given on the unit ball of a complex Banach space X. Finally, we get the second order terms coefficient estimations of the homogeneous expansion of quasi-convex mapping of order a defined on the polydisc in Cn and on the unit ball in a complex Banach space, respectively.  相似文献

Certain problems on reducibility of central hyperplane arrangements are settled. Firstly, a necessary and sufficient condition on reducibility is obtained. More precisely, it is proved that the number of irreducible components of a central hyperplane arrangement equals the dimension of the space consisting of the logarithmic derivations of the arrangement with degree zero or one. Secondly, it is proved that the decomposition of an arrangement into a direct sum of its irreducible components is unique up to an isomorphism of the ambient space. Thirdly, an effective algorithm for determining the number of irreducible components and decomposing an arrangement into a direct sum of its irreducible components is offered. This algorithm can decide whether an arrangement is reducible, and if it is the case, what the defining equations of irreducible components are.  相似文献

A family of stable mixed finite elements for the linear elasticity on tetrahedral grids are constructed,where the stress is approximated by symmetric H(div)-Pk polynomial tensors and the displacement is approximated by C-1-Pk-1polynomial vectors,for all k 4.The main ingredients for the analysis are a new basis of the space of symmetric matrices,an intrinsic H(div)bubble function space on each element,and a new technique for establishing the discrete inf-sup condition.In particular,they enable us to prove that the divergence space of the H(div)bubble function space is identical to the orthogonal complement space of the rigid motion space with respect to the vector-valued Pk-1polynomial space on each tetrahedron.The optimal error estimate is proved,verified by numerical examples.  相似文献

In the present paper, it is proved that the K0-group of a Toeplitz algebra on any connected domain is always isomorphic to the K0-group of the relative continuous function algebra. In addition, the cohomotopy groups of essential boundaries of some connected domains are computed, and the K0-groups of the continuous function algebras on these domains are also computed.  相似文献

The famous von Neumann-Wold Theorem tells us that each analytic Toeplitz operator with n 1-Blaschke factors is unitary to n 1 copies of the unilateral shift on the Hardy space. It is obvious that the von Neumann-Wold Theorem does not hold in the Bergman space. In this paper, using the basis constructed by Michael and Zhu on the Bergman space we prove that each analytic Toeplitz operator Mb(z) is similar to n 1 copies of the Bergman shift if and only if B(z) is an n 1-Blaschke product. Prom the above theorem, we characterize the similarity invariant of some analytic Toeplitz operators by using K0-group term.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to reconsider the utility representation problem of preferences. Several representation theorems are obtained on general choice spaces. Preferences having continuous utility functions are characterized by their continuities and countable satiation. It is showed that on a pairwise separable choice space,the sufficient and necessary condition for a preference to be represented by a continuous utility function is that the preference is continuous and countably satiable. For monotone preferences,we obtain that any space has continuous utility representations.  相似文献

Let X = G/K be a connected Riemannian homogeneous space of a real Lie group G. The homogeneous space X is called commutative or the pair (G, K) is called a Gelfand pair if the algebra of G-invariant differential operators on X is commutative. We prove an effective commutativity criterion and classify Gelfand pairs under two mild technical constraints. In particular, we obtain several new examples of commutative homogeneous spaces that are not of Heisenberg type.  相似文献

In τ-tilting theory, it is often difficult to determine when a set of bricks forms a 2-simple minded collection. The aim of this paper is to determine when a set of bricks is contained in a 2-simple minded collection for a τ-tilting finite algebra. We begin by extending the definition of mutation from 2-simple minded collections to more general sets of bricks (which we call semibrick pairs). This gives us an algorithm to check if a semibrick pair is contained in a 2-simple minded collection. We then use this algorithm to show that the 2-simple minded collections of a τ-tilting finite gentle algebra (whose quiver contains no loops or 2-cycles) are given by pairwise compatibility conditions if and only if every vertex in the corresponding quiver has degree at most 2. As an application, we show that the classifying space of the τ-cluster morphism category of a τ-tilting finite gentle algebra (whose quiver contains no loops or 2-cycles) is an Eilenberg-MacLane space if every vertex in the corresponding quiver has degree at most 2.  相似文献

We prove the following two results. 1) There exists a non-separable complete metric space whose Wijsman hypertopology is not Cech-complete. 2) There exist a non-separable metrizable space and two compatible metrics on it, such that the collections of the Borel sets generated by the relative Wijsman hypertopologies do not coincide.

An element g。∈ K is said to be a best simultaneous approximation of the pair y 1 , y 2 ∈ X if max{d(y 1 , g。), d(y 2 , g。) } = inf g ∈ K max { d(y 1 , g), d(y 2 , g)}.In this paper, some results on the existence of common fixed points for Banach operator pairs in the framework of convex metric spaces have been proved. For self mappings T and S on K, results are proved on both T - and S- invariant points for a set of best simultaneous approximation. Some results on best K-approximant are also deduced. The results proved generalize and extend some results of I. Beg and M. Abbas [1] , S. Chandok and T.D. Narang [2] , T.D. Narang and S. Chandok [11] , S.A. Sahab, M.S. Khan and S. Sessa [14] , P. We study semistable pairs on elliptic K3 surfaces with a section: we construct a family of moduli spaces of pairs, related by wall crossing phenomena, which can be studied to describe the birational correspondence between moduli spaces of sheaves of rank 2 and Hilbert schemes on the surface. In the 4-dimensional case, this can be used to get the isomorphism between the moduli space and the Hilbert scheme described by Friedman.  相似文献

We study the 1-parameter Wecken problem versus the restricted Wecken problem, for coincidence free pairs of maps between surfaces. For this we use properties of the function space between two surfaces and of the pure braid group on two strings of a surface. When the target surface is either the 2-sphere or the torus it is known that the two problems are the same. We classify most pairs of homotopy classes of maps according to the answer of the two problems are either the same or different when the target is either projective space or the Klein bottle. Some partial results are given for surfaces of negative Euler characteristic.  相似文献

This article continues the investigation of stationarity and regularity properties of infinite collections of sets in a Banach space started in Kruger and López (J.?Optim. Theory Appl. 154(2), 2012), and is mainly focused on the application of the stationarity criteria to infinitely constrained optimization problems. We consider several settings of optimization problems which involve (explicitly or implicitly) infinite collections of sets and deduce for them necessary conditions characterizing stationarity in terms of dual space elements??normals and/or subdifferentials.  相似文献
