Let f be in the localized nonisotropic Sobolev space Wloc^1,p (H^n) on the n-dimensional Heisenberg group H^n = C^n ×R, where 1≤ p ≤ Q and Q = 2n + 2 is the homogeneous dimension of H^n. Suppose that the subelliptic gradient is gloablly L^p integrable, i.e., fH^n |△H^n f|^p du is finite. We prove a Poincaré inequality for f on the entire space H^n. Using this inequality we prove that the function f subtracting a certain constant is in the nonisotropic Sobolev space formed by the completion of C0^∞(H^n) under the norm of (∫H^n |f| Qp/Q-p)^Q-p/Qp + (∫ H^n |△H^n f|^p)^1/p. We will also prove that the best constants and extremals for such Poincaré inequalities on H^n are the same as those for Sobolev inequalities on H^n. Using the results of Jerison and Lee on the sharp constant and extremals for L^2 to L(2Q/Q-2) Sobolev inequality on the Heisenberg group, we thus arrive at the explicit best constant for the aforementioned Poincaré inequality on H^n when p=2. We also derive the lower bound of the best constants for local Poincaré inequalities over metric balls on the Heisenberg group H^n.  相似文献

We establish the limiting weak type behaviors of Riesz transforms associated to the Bessel operators on IR+. which are closely related to the best constants of the weak type (1,1) estimates for such operators. Meanwhile, the corresponding results for Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator and fractional maximal operator in Bessel setting are also obtained.  相似文献

A highly accurate derivative recovery formula is presented for the korder finite element approximations to integro-differential equations. This formula possesses O(h^k l) order of superconvergence on the whole domain in L∞ norm and O(h^2k) order of ultraconvergence at the mesh points, respectively, and the same type of results are demonstrated for the semi-discrete finite element approximates solutions of Sobolev equations.  相似文献

We propose and analyze a posteriori energy-norm error estimates for weighted interior penalty discontinuous Galerkin approximations of advection-diffusion-reaction equations with heterogeneous and anisotropic diffusion. The weights, which play a key role in the analysis, depend on the diffusion tensor and are used to formulate the consistency terms in the discontinuous Galerkin method. The error upper bounds, in which all the constants are specified, consist of three terms: a residual estimator which depends only on the elementwise fluctuation of the discrete solution residual, a diffusive flux estimator where the weights used in the method enter explicitly, and a non-conforming estimator which is nonzero because of the use of discontinuous finite element spaces. The three estimators can be bounded locally by the approximation error. A particular attention is given to the dependency on problem parameters of the constants in the local lower error bounds. For moderate advection, it is shown that full robustness with respect to diffusion heterogeneities is achieved owing to the specific design of the weights in the discontinuous Galerkin method, while diffusion anisotropies remain purely local and impact the constants through the square root of the condition number of the diffusion tensor. For dominant advection, it is shown, in the spirit of previous work by Verfiirth on continuous finite elements, that the local lower error bounds can be written with constants involving a cut-off for the ratio of local mesh size to the reciprocal of the square root of the lowest local eignevalue of the diffusion tensor.  相似文献

In this paper, in order to consider the problems of relative width on ? d , we proposed definitions of relative average width which combine the ideas of the relative width and the average width. We established the smallest number M which make the following equality $$ \overline K _\sigma (U(W_2^\alpha ),M(W_2^\alpha ),L_2 ({\mathbb{R}}^d )) = \overline d _\sigma (U(W_2^\alpha ),L_2 ({\mathbb{R}}^d )) $$ hold, where U(W 2 α ) is the Riesz potential or Bessel potential of the unit ball in L 2(? k ) and the notations $ \overline K _\sigma $ (·, ·,L 2(? d )) and $ \overline d _\sigma $ (·, L 2(? d )) denote respectively the relative average width in the sense of Kolmogorov and the average width in the sense of Kolmogorov in their given order. In 2001, Subbotin and Telyakovskii got similar results on the relative width of Kolmogorov type. We prove that the operator (?Δ)1/2 L ?1/2 is an isomorphism of the space \({H^{1}_{L}}\) with the classical Hardy space H 1(? d ) whose inverse is L 1/2(?Δ)?1/2. In this paper, the authors first introduce the VMO-type space VMO ??,L (? n ) and the tent space $T^{\infty}_{\omega,\mathrm{v}}({\mathbb{R}}^{n+1}_{+})$ and characterize the space VMO ??,L (? n ) via the space $T^{\infty}_{\omega,\mathrm{v}}({{\mathbb{R}}}^{n+1}_{+})$ . Let $\widetilde{T}_{\omega}({{\mathbb{R}}}^{n+1}_{+})$ be the Banach completion of the tent space $T_{\omega}({\mathbb{R}}^{n+1}_{+})$ . The authors then prove that $\widetilde{T}_{\omega}({\mathbb{R}}^{n+1}_{+})$ is the dual space of $T^{\infty}_{\omega,\mathrm{v}}({\mathbb{R}}^{n+1}_{+})$ . As an application of this, the authors finally show that the dual space of $\mathrm{VMO}_{\rho,L^{\ast}}({\mathbb{R}}^{n})$ is the space B ??,L (? n ), where L * denotes the adjoint operator of L in L 2(? n ) and B ??,L (? n ) the Banach completion of the Orlicz-Hardy space H ??,L (? n ). Let $\mathcal{X}$ be a metric space with doubling measure and L a nonnegative self-adjoint operator in $L^{2}(\mathcal{X})$ satisfying the Davies–Gaffney estimates. Let $\varphi:\mathcal{X}\times[0,\infty)\to[0,\infty)$ be a function such that φ(x,?) is an Orlicz function, $\varphi(\cdot,t)\in\mathbb{A}_{\infty}(\mathcal{X})$ (the class of uniformly Muckenhoupt weights), its uniformly critical upper type index I(φ)∈(0,1], and it satisfies the uniformly reverse Hölder inequality of order 2/[2?I(φ)]. In this paper, the authors introduce a Musielak–Orlicz–Hardy space $H_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ , by the Lusin area function associated with the heat semigroup generated by L, and a Musielak–Orlicz BMO-type space $\mathrm{BMO}_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ , which is further proved to be the dual space of $H_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ and hence whose φ-Carleson measure characterization is deduced. Characterizations of $H_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ , including the atom, the molecule, and the Lusin area function associated with the Poisson semigroup of L, are presented. Using the atomic characterization, the authors characterize $H_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ in terms of the Littlewood–Paley $g^{\ast}_{\lambda}$ -function $g^{\ast}_{\lambda,L}$ and establish a Hörmander-type spectral multiplier theorem for L on $H_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ . Moreover, for the Musielak–Orlicz–Hardy space H φ,L (? n ) associated with the Schrödinger operator L:=?Δ+V, where $0\le V\in L^{1}_{\mathrm{loc}}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ , the authors obtain its several equivalent characterizations in terms of the non-tangential maximal function, the radial maximal function, the atom, and the molecule; finally, the authors show that the Riesz transform ?L ?1/2 is bounded from H φ,L (? n ) to the Musielak–Orlicz space L φ (? n ) when i(φ)∈(0,1], and from H φ,L (? n ) to the Musielak–Orlicz–Hardy space H φ (? n ) when $i(\varphi)\in(\frac{n}{n+1},1]$ , where i(φ) denotes the uniformly critical lower type index of φ.  相似文献
