We prove an equivariant implicit function theorem for variational problems that are invariant under a varying symmetry group (corresponding to a bundle of Lie groups). Motivated by applications to families of geometric variational problems lacking regularity, several non-smooth extensions of the result are discussed. Among such applications is the submanifold problem of deforming the ambient metric preserving a given variational property of a prescribed family of submanifolds, e.g., constant mean curvature, up to the action of the corresponding ambient isometry groups.  相似文献

We show some abstract (purely set-topological) principles which allow to prove the existence of global solution branches. The results apply either for the locally compact situation and then allow to prove global bifurcation results of Rabinowitz type, or they apply for a locally connected situation and allow to prove global branches of arbitrarily small perturbations without any compactness hypotheses. As two applications, we obtain a generalization of the Rabinowitz theorem for bifurcation from an interval and an implicit function type theorem for nondifferentiable functions.  相似文献

We prove a general implicit function theorem for multifunctions with a metric estimate on the implicit multifunction and a characterization of its coderivative. Traditional open covering theorems, stability results, and sufficient conditions for a multifunction to be metrically regular or pseudo-Lipschitzian can be deduced from this implicit function theorem. We prove this implicit multifunction theorem by reducing it to an implicit function/solvability theorem for functions. This approach can also be used to prove the Robinson–Ursescu open mapping theorem. As a tool for this alternative proof of the Robinson–Ursescu theorem, we also establish a refined version of the multidirectional mean value inequality which is of independent interest.  相似文献

本文研究球面上的$\ell_1$正则优化问题,其目标函数由一般光滑函数项和非光滑$\ell_1$正则项构成,且假设光滑函数的随机梯度可由随机一阶oracle估计.这类优化问题被广泛应用在机器学习,图像、信号处理和统计等领域.根据流形临近梯度法和随机梯度估计技术,提出一种球面随机临近梯度算法.基于非光滑函数的全局隐函数定理,分析了子问题解关于参数的Lipschtiz连续性,进而证明了算法的全局收敛性.在基于随机数据集和实际数据集的球面$\ell_1$正则二次规划问题、有限和SPCA问题和球面$\ell_1$正则逻辑回归问题上数值实验结果显示所提出的算法与流形临近梯度法、黎曼随机临近梯度法相比CPU时间上具有一定的优越性.  相似文献

We generalize a recent global implicit function theorem from [8] to the case of a mapping acting between Banach spaces. Considerations related to duality mapping and to certain auxiliary functional are used in the proof together with the local implicit function theorem and mountain pass geometry. In this paper we study second order non-linear periodic systems driven by the ordinary vectorp-Laplacian with a non-smooth, locally Lipschitz potential function. Our approach is variational and it is based on the non-smooth critical point theory. We prove existence and multiplicity results under general growth conditions on the potential function. Then we establish the existence of non-trivial homoclinic (to zero) solutions. Our theorem appears to be the first such result (even for smooth problems) for systems monitored by thep-Laplacian. In the last section of the paper we examine the scalar non-linear and semilinear problem. Our approach uses a generalized Landesman-Lazer type condition which generalizes previous ones used in the literature. Also for the semilinear case the problem is at resonance at any eigenvalue.  相似文献

This paper studies the dynamics implied by the Chamley (1993) model, a variant of the two-sector model with an implicit characterization of the learning function. We first show that under some “regularity” conditions regarding the learning function, the model has (a) one steady state, (b) no steady states or (c) two steady states (one saddle and one non-saddle). Moreover, via the Bogdanov–Takens theorem, we prove that for critical regions of the parameters space, the dynamics undergoes a particular global phenomenon, namely the homoclinic bifurcation. Because these findings imply the existence of a continuum of equilibrium trajectories, all departing from the same initial value of the predetermined variable, the model exhibits global indeterminacy.  相似文献

An algorithm for semi-inifinite programming using sequential quadratic programming techniques together with anL exact penalty function is presented, and global convergence is shown. An important feature of the convergence proof is that it does not require an implicit function theorem to be applicable to the semi-infinite constraints; a much weaker assumption concerning the finiteness of the number of global maximizers of each semi-infinite constraint is sufficient. In contrast to proofs based on an implicit function theorem, this result is also valid for a large class ofC 1 problems.  相似文献
