In this paper,a predator-prey ecosystem with two delays is considered.Firstly,the stability of the equilibrium of the system is investigated by analyzing the characteristic equation.Secondly,by choosing the sum of the two delays as a bifurcation parameter,it is shown that Hopf bifurcation occurs as the parameter passes through a certain critical value.Finally,in order to illustrate our theoretical analysis,some numerical simulations are also included.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to the analysis of certain dynamical properties of a family of iterative Newton type methods used to find roots of non-linear equations. We present a procedure for constructing polynomials in such a way that superattracting cycles of any prescribed length occur when these iterative methods are applied. We show that certain satellite knots of every strongly negative-amphicheiral rational knot are rational-slice knots. This proof also shows that the O-surgery manifold of a certain strongly negative amphicheiral knot such as the figure-eight knot bounds a compact oriented smooth 4-manifold homotopy equivalent to the 2-sphere such that a second homology class of the 4-manifold is represented by a smoothly embedded 2-sphere if and only if the modulo two reduction of it is zero.  相似文献

In this paper, a new approach to analyze synchronization of linearly coupled map lattices (LCMLs) is presented. A reference vector x(t) is introduced as the projection of the trajectory of the coupled system on the synchronization manifold. The stability analysis of the synchronization manifold can be regarded as investigating the difference between the trajectory and the projection. By this method, some criteria are given for both local and global synchronization. These criteria indicate that the left and right eigenvectors corresponding to the eigenvalue "0" of the coupling matrix play key roles in the stability of synchronization manifold for the coupled system. Moreover, it is revealed that the stability of synchronization manifold for the coupled system is different from the stability for dynamical system in usual sense. That is, the solution of the coupled system does not converge to a certain knowable s(t) satisfying s(t 1) = f(s(t)) but to the reference vector on the synchronization manifold, which in fact is a certain weighted average of each xi(t) for i = 1, ... ,m, but not a solution s(t) satisfying s(t 1) = f(s(t)).  相似文献

With the aid of Mullin-Rota's substitution rule, we show that the Sheffertype differential operators together with the delta operators ? and D could be used to construct a pair of expansion formulas that imply a wide variety of summation formulas in the discrete analysis and combinatorics. A convergence theorem is established for a fruitful source formula that implies more than 20 noted classical fomulas and identities as consequences. Numerous new formulas are also presented as illustrative examples. Finally, it is shown that a kind of lifting process can be used to produce certain chains of(∞~m) degree formulas for m ≥ 3 with m ≡ 1(mod 2) and m ≡ 1(mod3), respectively.  相似文献

Eigenvalues of tensors play an increasingly important role in many aspects of applied mathematics. The characteristic polynomial provides one of a very few ways that shed lights on intrinsic understanding of the eigenvalues. It is known that the characteristic polynomial of a third order three dimensional tensor has a stunning expression with more than 20000 terms, thus prohibits an effective analysis. In this article, we are trying to make a concise representation of this characteristic polynomial in terms of certain basic determinants. With this, we can successfully write out explicitly the characteristic polynomial of a third order three dimensional tensor in a reasonable length. An immediate benefit is that we can compute out the third and fourth order traces of a third order three dimensional tensor symbolically, which is impossible in the literature.  相似文献

Linear mixed models are popularly used to fit continuous longitudinal data,and the random effects are commonly assumed to have normal distribution.However,this assumption needs to be tested so that further analysis can be proceeded well.In this paper,we consider the Baringhaus-Henze-Epps-Pulley (BHEP) tests,which are based on an empirical characteristic function.Differing from their case,we consider the normality checking for the random effects which are unobservable and the test should be based on their predictors.The test is consistent against global alternatives,and is sensitive to the local alternatives converging to the null at a certain rate arbitrarily close to 1/√ n where n is sample size.Furthermore,to overcome the problem that the limiting null distribution of the test is not tractable,we suggest a new method: use a conditional Monte Carlo test (CMCT) to approximate the null distribution,and then to simulate p-values.The test is compared with existing methods,the power is examined,and several examples are applied to illustrate the usefulness of our test in the analysis of longitudinal data.  相似文献

We are concerned, in a static regime, with a three-dimensional bounded domain of certain an imaging approach of the locations in electromagnetic imperfections. This approach is related to Electrical Impedance Tomography and makes use of a new perturbation formula in the electric fields. We present two localization procedures, from a Current Pro- jection method that deals with the single imperfection context and an inverse Fourier process that is devoted to multiple imperfections configurations. These procedures extend those that were described in our previous work, since operating for a broader class of settings. Namely, the localization is additionally performed for certain purely electric imperfections, as established from numerical simulations.  相似文献

It is shown that, by applying hyperbolic isometries, one may arrangen points in hyperbolic (n–1)-space in a certain standard position. Similar results are developed for complex hyperbolic space, as well as hyperbolic spaces defined over nearly arbitrary fields. Key concepts of the theory of abstract dynamical systems are formulated in the language of nonstandard analysis (NSA). We are then able to provide simple and intuitive proofs of the basic facts. In particular, we use the NSA to give an alternative proof of the characterization of global attractors due to Ball. We also address the issue of connectedness. The key observation is that the global attractor, or more generally, the ω‐limit set, can be written as a standard part of a suitable internal set.  相似文献

We consider a reaction diffusion system in one spatial dimension in which the diffusion coefficients are spatially varying. We present a non-standard linear analysis for a certain class of spatially varying diffusion coefficients and show that it accurately predicts the behaviour of the full nonlinear system near bifurcation. We show that the steady state solutions exhibit qualitatively different behaviour to that observed in the usual case with constant diffusion coefficients. Specifically, the modified system can generate patterns with spatially varying amplitude and wavelength. Application to chondrogenesis in the limb is discussed.  相似文献

In this article, we intend to model and optimize the bullwhip effect (BWE) and net stock amplification (NSA) in a three-stage supply chain consisting of a retailer, a wholesaler, and a manufacturer under both centralized and decentralized scenarios. In this regard, firstly, the causes of BWE and NSA are mathematically formulated using response surface methodology (RSM) as a multi-objective optimization model that aims to minimize the BWE and NSA on both chains. The simultaneous analysis of the BWE and NSA is considered as the main novelty of this paper. To tackle the addressed problem, we propose a novel multi-objective hybrid evolutionary approach called MOHES; MOHES is a hybrid of two known multi-objective algorithms i.e. multi-objective electro magnetism mechanism algorithm (MOEMA) and population-based multi-objective simulated annealing (PBMOSA). We applied a co-evolutionary strategy for this purpose with eligibility of both algorithms. Proposed MOHES is compared with three common and popular algorithms (i.e. NRGA, NSGAII, and MOPSO). Since the utilized algorithms are very sensitive to parameter values, RSM with the multi-objective decision making (MODM) approach is employed to tune the parameters. Finally, the hybrid algorithm and the singular approaches are compared together in terms of some performance measures. The results indicate that the hybrid approach achieves better solutions when compared with the others, and also the results show that in a decentralized chain, the order batching factor and the demand signal processing in wholesaler are the most important factors on BWE. Conversely, in a centralized chain, factors such as rationing, shortage gaming, and lead time are the most effective at reducing the BWE.  相似文献

Last years there was increasing an interest to the so-called function spaces with non-standard growth, known also as variable exponent Lebesgue spaces. For weighted such spaces on homogeneous spaces, we develop a certain variant of Rubio de Francia's extrapolation theorem. This extrapolation theorem is applied to obtain the boundedness in such spaces of various operators of harmonic analysis, such as maximal and singular operators, potential operators, Fourier multipliers, dominants of partial sums of trigonometric Fourier series and others, in weighted Lebesgue spaces with variable exponent. Leonardo Volpi found that Excel 2003, rather than report correct coefficients, would sometimes change them to zero. We have investigated this so-called “zero bug” of the linear regression function LINEST(), and have found that the inaccuracy is caused by a non-standard modified back-substitution procedure. The modification, for which we can find no justification in the numerical analysis or statistical literature, uses a logic to control the bug: when certain conditions are met, accurate coefficients are replaced with inaccurate coefficients that may be zeros or nonzeros. Although Excel 2003 is now out of support, it is still in use. We do not know whether the modification is limited to Excel 2003, or whether Microsoft has programmed similar inaccuracies into other functions or other versions of Excel.  相似文献
