We present some properties of the distributions T of the form ∑ipi−δni), with ∑i d(pi,ni)<∞, which arise in the study of the 3-d Ginzburg–Landau problem; see Bourgain et al. (C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Ser. I 331 (2000) 119–124). We show that there always exists an irreducible representation of T. We also extend a result of Smets (C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Ser. I 334 (2002) 371–374) which says that T is a measure iff T can be written as a finite sum of dipoles.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce two classes of variational-like inequalities with generalized monotone mappings in Banach spaces. Using the KKM technique, we obtain the existence of solutions for variational-like inequalities with relaxed – monotone mappings in reflexive Banach spaces. We present also the solvability of variational-like inequalities with relaxed – semimonotone mappings in arbitrary Banach spaces by means of the Kakutani-Fan-Glicksberg fixed-point theorem. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding results of Refs. 1–6.  相似文献

In this paper we suggest a new general formalism for studying the L2 invariants of polyhedra and manifolds. First, we examine generality in which one may apply the construction of the extended Abelian category, which was earlier suggested by the author using the ideas of P. Freyd. This leads to the notions of a finite von Neumann category and a trace on such a category. Given a finite von Neumann category, we study the extended L2 homology and cohomology theories with values in the Abelian extension. Any trace on the initial category produces numerical invariants – the von Neumann dimension and the Novikov–Shubin numbers. Thus, we obtain the local versions of the Novikov–Shubin invariants, localized at different traces. In the Abelian case this localization can be made more geometric: we show that any torsion object determines a divisor – a closed subspace of the space of the parameters. The divisors of torsion objects together with the information produced by the local Novikov–Shubin invariants may be used to study multiplicities of intersections of algebraic and analytic varieties (we discuss here only simple examples demonstrating this possibility). We compute explicitly the divisors and the von Neumann dimensions of the extended L2 cohomology in the real analytic situation. We also give general formulae for the extended L2 cohomology of a mapping torus. Finally, we show how one can define a De Rham version of the extended cohomology and prove a De Rhamtype theorem.  相似文献

We consider two-parametric compound binomial approximation of the generalized Poisson binomial distribution. We show that the accuracy of approximation essentially depends on the symmetry or shifting of distributions and construct asymptotic expansions. For the proofs, we combine the properties of norms with the results for convolutions of symmetric and shifted distributions. In the lattice case, we use the characteristic function method. We consider the Lu–Weinstein–Soibelman Drinfeld double D and a pair of -models associated with it. We show that the Poisson–Lie T-duality relating them can be extended to include string configurations with a nonunit non-Abelian momentum. The dual string configuration (living on the maximal compact subgroup of D) then develops a nontrivial monodromy taking values in the Weyl alcove. We also give the duality-invariant action of this dynamical system and describe the analogous phenomenon for the dressing cosets.  相似文献

The homogeneous balance method is extended and applied to a class of variable-coefficient reaction–duffing equations, and a Bäcklund transformation (BT) is obtained. Based on the BT, a nonlocal symmetry and several families of exact solutions of this equation are obtained, including soliton solutions that have important physical significance. The Fitzhugh–Nagumo and Chaffee–Infante equations are also considered as special cases.  相似文献

Many problems of convex programming can be reduced to finding a zero of the sum of two maximal monotone operators. For solving this problem, there exists a variety of methods such as the forward–backward method, the Peaceman–Rachford method, the Douglas–Rachford method, and more recently the -scheme. This last method has been presented without general convergence analysis by Glowinski and Le Tallec and seems to give good numerical results. The purpose of this paper is first to present convergence results and an estimation of the rate of convergence for this recent method, and then to apply it to variational inequalities and structured convex programming problems to get new parallel decomposition algorithms.  相似文献

We consider a modified version of the Seiberg–Witten invariants for rational homology 3-spheres, obtained by adding to the original invariants a correction term which is a combination of -invariants. We show that these modified invariants are topological invariants. We prove that an averaged version of these modified invariants equals the Casson–Walker invariant. In particular, this result proves an averaged version of a conjecture of Ozsváth and Szabó on the equivalence between their invariant and the Seiberg–Witten invariant of rational homology 3-spheres.  相似文献

We consider an effective replaceability of the omega–rule for the always operator in a restricted first–order linear temporal logic. This work is a continuation of two previous papers of the author where an infinitary (with the omega–rule) calculus without loop rules was constructed and founded. In the present paper, we use this calculus to construct the so–called saturated calculus consisting of four decidable deductive procedures replacing the omega–rule for the always operator.  相似文献

A space X is called Moscow if the closure of any open set is the union of some family of G -subsets of X. It is established that if a topological ring K of non-measurable cardinality is a Moscow space, then the operations in K can be continuously extended to the Hewitt–Nachbin completion K of K turning K into a topological ring as well. A similar fact is established for linear topological spaces. If F is a topological field such that the cardinality of F is non-measurable and the space F is Moscow, then the space F is submetrizable and the space F is hereditarily Hewitt–Nachbin complete. In particular, F=F. We also show the effect of homogeneity of the Hewitt–Nachbin completion on the commutativity of the Hewitt–Nachbin completion with the product operation.  相似文献

The construction of the sum of a direct (semilattice ordered) system of algebras introduced by J. Plonka – later known as the Plonka sum – is one of the most important methods of composition in universal algebra, having a number of applications in different algebraic theories, such as semigroup theory, semiring theory, etc. In this paper we present a more general way for constructing algebras with involution, that is, algebraic systems equipped with a unary involutorial operation which is at the same time an antiautomorphism of the underlying algebra. It is the sum – involutorial Plonka sum, as we call it – of an involution semilattice ordered system of algebras. We investigate its basic properties, as well as the problem of its subdirect decomposition.  相似文献

We calculate the skew-symmetric cohomology of the complement of a discriminantal hyperplane arrangement with coefficients in local systems arising in the context of the representation theory of the Lie algebra . For a discriminantal arrangement in k, the skew-symmetric cohomology is nontrivial in dimension k–1 precisely when the 'master function' which defines the local system on the complement has nonisolated criticalpoints. In symmetric coordinates, the critical set is a union of lines. Generically, the dimension of this nontrivial skew-symmetric cohomology group is equal to the number of critical lines.  相似文献

It is well known that the set of correlated equilibrium distributions of an n-player noncooperative game is a convex polytope that includes all the Nash equilibrium distributions.
