The Bishop–Phelps–Bollobás property deals with simultaneous approximation of an operator T and a vector x at which T nearly attains its norm by an operator T0 and a vector x0, respectively, such that T0 attains its norm at x0. In this note we extend the already known results about the Bishop–Phelps–Bollobás property for Asplund operators to a wider class of Banach spaces and to a wider class of operators. Instead of proving a BPB-type theorem for each space separately we isolate two main notions: Γ-flat operators and Banach spaces with ACKρ structure. In particular, we prove a general BPB-type theorem for Γ-flat operators acting to a space with ACKρ structure and show that uniform algebras and spaces with the property β have ACKρ structure. We also study the stability of the ACKρ structure under some natural Banach space theory operations. As a consequence, we discover many new examples of spaces Y such that the Bishop–Phelps–Bollobás property for Asplund operators is valid for all pairs of the form (X,Y).  相似文献

An extended 1-perfect trade is a pair (T0,T1) of two disjoint binary distance-4 even-weight codes such that the set of words at distance 1 from T0 coincides with the set of words at distance 1 from T1. Such trade is called primary if any pair of proper subsets of T0 and T1 is not a trade. Using a computer-aided approach, we classify nonequivalent primary extended 1-perfect trades of length 10, constant-weight extended 1-perfect trades of length 12, and Steiner trades derived from them. Let Δ(T) and μ(T) denote the maximum degree and the Laplacian spectral radius of a tree T, respectively. In this paper we prove that for two trees T1 and T2 on n(n21) vertices, if Δ(T1)>Δ(T2) and Δ(T1)?11n30?+1, then μ(T1)>μ(T2), and the bound “Δ(T1)?11n30?+1” is the best possible. We also prove that for two trees T1 and T2 on 2k(k4) vertices with perfect matchings, if Δ(T1)>Δ(T2) and Δ(T1)?k2?+2, then μ(T1)>μ(T2).  相似文献

According to a previous result of the author, if (A0,A1) is an interpolation couple, if A0? is weakly LUR, then the complex interpolation spaces (A0?,A1?)θ have the same property.Here we construct an interpolation couple (B0,B1) where B0 is LUR, but where the complex interpolation spaces (B0,B1)θ are not strictly convex.  相似文献

We generalize results concerning C0-semigroups on Banach lattices to a setting of ordered Banach spaces. We prove that the generator of a disjointness preserving C0-semigroup is local. Some basic properties of local operators are also given. We investigate cases where local operators generate local C0-semigroups, by using Taylor series or Yosida approximations. As norms we consider regular norms and show that bands are closed with respect to such norms. Our proofs rely on the theory of embedding pre-Riesz spaces in vector lattices and on corresponding extensions of regular norms.  相似文献

For bipartite graphs G1,G2,,Gk, the bipartite Ramsey number b(G1,G2,,Gk) is the least positive integer b so that any coloring of the edges of Kb,b with k colors will result in a copy of Gi in the ith color for some i. In this paper, our main focus will be to bound the following numbers: b(C2t1,C2t2) and b(C2t1,C2t2,C2t3) for all ti3,b(C2t1,C2t2,C2t3,C2t4) for 3ti9, and b(C2t1,C2t2,C2t3,C2t4,C2t5) for 3ti5. Furthermore, we will also show that these mentioned bounds are generally better than the bounds obtained by using the best known Zarankiewicz-type result.  相似文献

We point out that the product of two fuzzy closed sets of smooth fuzzy topological spaces need not be fuzzy closed with respect to the the existing notion of product smooth fuzzy topology. To get this property, we introduce a new suitable product smooth fuzzy topology. We investigate whether F1×F2 and (F,H) are weakly smooth fuzzy continuity whenever F1, F2, F and H are weakly smooth fuzzy continuous. Using this new product smooth fuzzy topology, we define smooth fuzzy perfect mapping and prove that composition of two smooth fuzzy perfect mappings is smooth fuzzy perfect under some additional conditions. We also introduce two new notions of compactness called Q-compactness and Q-α-compactness; and discuss the compactness of the image of a Q-compact set (Q-α-compact set) under a weakly smooth fuzzy continuous function ((α,β)-weakly smooth fuzzy continuous function).  相似文献

It is well known that if K1,K2 are algebraic number fields with coprime discriminants, then the composite ring AK1AK2 is integrally closed and K1,K2 are linearly disjoint over the field of rationals, AKi being the ring of algebraic integers of Ki. In an attempt to prove the converse of the above result, in this paper we prove that if K1,K2 are finite separable extensions of a valued field (K,v) of arbitrary rank which are linearly disjoint over K=K1K2 and if the integral closure Si of the valuation ring Rv of v in Ki is a free Rv-module for i=1,2 with S1S2 integrally closed, then the discriminant of either S1/Rv or of S2/Rv is the unit ideal. We quickly deduce from this result that for algebraic number fields K1,K2 linearly disjoint over K=K1K2 for which AK1AK2 is integrally closed, the relative discriminants of K1/K and K2/K must be coprime.  相似文献
