We consider the p-adic Ising–Vannimenus model on the Cayley tree of order k = 2. This model contains nearest-neighbor and next-nearest-neighbor interactions. We investigate the model using a new approach based on measure theory (in the p-adic sense) and describe all translation-invariant p-adic quasi-Gibbs measures associated with the model. As a consequence, we can prove that a phase transition exists in the model. Here, “phase transition” means that there exist at least two nontrivial p-adic quasi-Gibbs measures such that one is bounded and the other is unbounded. The methods used are inapplicable in the real case.  相似文献

We study fertile hard-core models with the activity parameter λ > 0 and four states on the Cayley tree. It is known that there are three types of such models. For each of these models, we prove the uniqueness of the translation-invariant Gibbs measure for any value of the parameter λ on the Cayley tree of order three. Moreover, for one of the models, we obtain critical values of λ at which the translation-invariant Gibbs measure is nonunique on the Cayley tree of order five. In this case, we verify a sufficient condition (the Kesten–Stigum condition) for a measure not to be extreme.  相似文献

We consider a p-adic solid-on-solid (SOS) model with a nearest-neighbor coupling, m+1 spins, and a coupling constant J ∈ Q p on a Cayley tree. We find conditions under which a phase transition does not occur in the model. We show that if p | m + 1 for some J, then a phase transition occurs. Moreover, we formulate a criterion for the boundedness of p-adic Gibbs measures for the (m+1)-state SOS model.  相似文献

We develop the theory and practical implementation of p-adic sparse coding of data. Rather than the standard, sparsifying criterion that uses the L 0 pseudo-norm, we use the p-adic norm.We require that the hierarchy or tree be node-ranked, as is standard practice in agglomerative and other hierarchical clustering, but not necessarily with decision trees. In order to structure the data, all computational processing operations are direct reading of the data, or are bounded by a constant number of direct readings of the data, implying linear computational time. Through p-adic sparse data coding, efficient storage results, and for bounded p-adic norm stored data, search and retrieval are constant time operations. Examples show the effectiveness of this new approach to content-driven encoding and displaying of data.  相似文献
