We give a generalization of L.de Branges theory of Hilbert spaces of entire functions to the Pontryagin space setting. The aim of this-first-part is to provide some basic results and to investigate subspaces of Pontryagin spaces of entire functions. Our method makes strong use of L.de Branges's results and of the extension theory of symmetric operators as developed by M.G.Krein.  相似文献

Let II be the upper half-plane in, consider the Bergman space , the subspace of all analytic functions fromL 2(II). The complete decomposition ofL 2(II) onto Bergman and Bergman type spaces of poly-analytic and poly-anti-analytic functions is obtained. The orthogonal Bergman type projections onto each of these subspaces are described. We investigate Hilbertian Hardy type spaces of complex analytic functions of infinite many variables, associated with compact unitary groups and the corresponding invariant Haar’s measures. For such analytic functions we establish a Cauchy type integral formula and describe natural domains. Also we show some relations between constructed spaces of analytic functions and the symmetric Fock space.  相似文献

We present a wave packet analysis of a class of possibly degenerate parabolic equations with variable coefficients. As a consequence, we prove local wellposedness of the corresponding Cauchy problem in spaces of low regularity, namely the modulation spaces, assuming a nonlinearity of analytic type. As another application, we deduce that the corresponding phase space flow decreases the global wave front set. We also consider the action on spaces of analytic functions, provided the coefficients are analytic themselves.  相似文献

In this paper, an extremal function of a Banach space of analytic functions in the unit disk (not all functions vanishing at 0) is a function solving the extremal problem for functions f of norm 1. We study extremal functions of kernels of Toeplitz operators on Hardy spaces Hp, 1<p<∞. Such kernels are special cases of so-called nearly invariant subspaces with respect to the backward shift, for which Hitt proved that when p=2, extremal functions act as isometric divisors. We show that the extremal function is still a contractive divisor when p<2 and an expansive divisor when p>2 (modulo p-dependent multiplicative constants). We give examples showing that the extremal function may fail to be a contractive divisor when p>2 and also fail to be an expansive divisor when p<2. We discuss to what extent these results characterize the Toeplitz operators via invariant subspaces for the backward shift.  相似文献

Criteria for weak uniform rotundity and reflexivity of Musielak-Orlicz function spaces of Bochner type equipped with the Luxemburg norm are given. Although, criteria for uniform Gateaux differentiability and weak uniform rotundity of Musielak-Orlicz function spaces of real functions equipped with the Luxemburg norm were known, they can be also easily deduced from our main results.  相似文献

We characterize the surjective isometries of a class of analytic functions on the disk which include the Analytic Besov spaceB p and the Dirichlet spaceD p . In the case ofB p we are able to determine the form of all linear isometries on this space. The isometries for these spaces are finite rank perturbations of integral operators. This is in contrast with the classical results for the Hardy and Bergman spaces where the isometries are represented as weighted compositions induced by inner functions or automorphisms of the disk.  相似文献

A construction is made of a unitary linear system whose transfer function is a given power seriesB(z) with operator coefficients such that multiplication byB(z) is an everywhere defined transformation in the space of square summable power series with vector coefficients. A condition is also given for the existence of an observable linear system with such a transfer function. For both constructions properties of the spaces are given which imply essential uniqueness of linear systems with given transfer functions. A canonical conjugate-isometric linear system is uniquely determined by its transfer function whenever the state space is a Pontryagin space.  相似文献

In this-second-part we investigate isometric embeddings of spaces of entire functions into spacesL 2 () understood in a distributional sense and consider Weyl coefficients of matrix chains. The main task is to give a proof of an indefinite version of the inverse spectral theorem for Nevanlinna functions. Our methods use the theory developed by L. de Branges and the theory of extensions of symmetric operators of M.G.Krein.  相似文献

Schur multipliers on the unit ball are operator-valued functions for which the N-variable Schwarz-Pick kernel is nonnegative. In this paper, the coefficient spaces are assumed to be Pontryagin spaces having the same negative index. The associated reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces are characterized in terms of generalized difference-quotient transformations. A model for a class of cyclic analytic 2-isometries acting on Pontryagin spaces is given, generalizing a Hilbert space version given by S. Richter. Furthermore, an example is constructed showing that, unlike in the Hilbert space case, a cyclic analytic 2-isometry need not have a cyclic vector in the orthogonal complement of its range.   相似文献

The following results are presented: 1) a characterization through the Liouville property of those Stein manifoldsU such that every germ of holomorphic functions on xU can be developed locally as a vector-valued Taylor series in the first variable with values inH(U); 2) ifT is a surjective convolution operator on the space of scalar-valued real analytic functions, one can find a solutionu of the equationT u=f which depends holomorphically on the parameterz wheneverf depends in the same manner. These results are obtained as an application of a thorough study of vector-valued real analytic maps by means of the modern functional analytic tools. We investigate a particular subclass of so-called symmetric indefinite Hermite-Biehler functions and give a characterization of functions of this class in terms of the location of their zeros. For the proof we employ the theory of de Branges Pontryagin spaces of entire functions. We apply our results to obtain information on the eigenvalues of some boundary value problems.  相似文献

We study reproducing kernel Hilbert and Pontryagin spaces of slice hyperholomorphic functions. These are analogs of the Hilbert spaces of analytic functions introduced by de Branges and Rovnyak. In the first part of the paper, we focus on the case of Hilbert spaces and introduce, in particular, a version of the Hardy space. Then we define Blaschke factors and Blaschke products and consider an interpolation problem. In the second part of the paper, we turn to the case of Pontryagin spaces. We first prove some results from the theory of Pontryagin spaces in the quaternionic setting and, in particular, a theorem of Shmulyan on densely defined contractive linear relations. We then study realizations of generalized Schur functions and of generalized Carathéodory functions.  相似文献

We define and investigate the class of symmetric and the class of semibounded de Branges spaces of entire functions. A construction is made which assigns to each symmetric de Branges space a semibounded one. By employing operator theoretic tools it is shown that every semibounded de Branges space can be obtained in this way, and which symmetric spaces give rise to the same semibounded space. Those subclasses of Hermite-Biehler functions are determined which correspond to symmetric or semibounded, respectively, nondegenerated de Branges spaces. The above assignment is determined in terms of the respective generating Hermite-Biehler functions.  相似文献

Systems of analytic functions which are simultaneously orthogonal over each of two domains were apparently first studied in particular cases by Walsh and Szegö, and in full generality by Bergman. In principle, these are very interesting objects, allowing application to analytic continuation that is not restricted (as Weierstrassian continuation via power series) either by circular geometry or considerations of locality. However, few explicit examples are known, and in general one does not know even gross qualitative features of such systems. The main contribution of the present paper is to prove qualitative results in a quite general situation.It is by now very well known that the phenomenon of “double orthogonality” is not restricted to Bergman spaces of analytic functions, nor even indeed has it any intrinsic relation to analyticity; its essence is an eigenvalue problem arising whenever one considers the operator of restriction on a Hilbert space of functions on some set, to a subset thereof, provided this restriction is injective and compact. However, in this paper only Hilbert spaces of analytic functions are considered, especially Bergman spaces. In the case of the Hardy spaces Fisher and Micchelli discovered remarkable qualitative features of doubly orthogonal systems, and we have shown how, based on the classical potential-theoretic notion of balayage, and its modern generalizations, one can deduce analogous results in the Bergman space set-up, but with restrictions imposed on the geometry of the considered domains and measures; these were not needed in the Fisher-Micchelli analysis, but are necessary here as shown by examples.From a more constructive point of view we study the Bergman restriction operator between the unit disk and a compactly contained quadrature domain and show that the representing kernel of this operator is rational and it is expressible (as an inversion followed by a logarithmic derivative) in terms of the polynomial equation of the boundary of the inner domain.  相似文献

The concepts of complex strongly extreme point and complex midpoint local uniform rotundity in complex Banach spaces are introduced. It is proved that every complex strongly extreme point is a complex extreme point and every complex locally uniformly rotund point is a complex strongly extreme point. Moreover, criteria for complex strongly extreme points of the unit ball and, as a corollary, criteria for complex midpoint local uniform rotundity in Musielak–Orlicz function spaces are given.  相似文献
