Let \({\Omega}\) be a Lipschitz bounded domain of \({\mathbb{R}^N}\), \({N\geq2}\), and let \({u_p\in W_0^{1,p}(\Omega)}\) denote the p-torsion function of \({\Omega}\), p > 1. It is observed that the value 1 for the Cheeger constant \({h(\Omega)}\) is threshold with respect to the asymptotic behavior of up, as \({p\rightarrow 1^+}\), in the following sense: when \({h(\Omega) > 1}\), one has \({\lim_{p\rightarrow 1^+}\left\|u_{p}\right\| _{L^\infty(\Omega)}=0}\), and when \({h(\Omega) < 1}\), one has \({\lim_{p\rightarrow 1^+}\left\|u_p\right\| _{L^\infty(\Omega)}=\infty}\). In the case \({h(\Omega)=1}\), it is proved that \({\limsup_{p\rightarrow1^+}\left\|u_p\right\|_{L^\infty(\Omega)}<\infty}\). For a radial annulus \({\Omega_{a,b}}\), with inner radius a and outer radius b, it is proved that \({\lim_{p\rightarrow 1^+}\left\|u_p\right\| _{L^\infty(\Omega_{a,b})}=0}\) when \({h(\Omega_{a,b})=1}\).  相似文献

Let \(A=U|A|\) be the polar decomposition of A on a complex Hilbert space \({\mathscr {H}}\) and \(0<s,t\). Then \({\widetilde{A}}_{s, t}=|A|^sU|A|^t\) and \({\widetilde{A}}_{s, t}^{(*)}=|A^*|^sU|A^*|^t\) are called the generalized Aluthge transformation and generalized \(*\)-Aluthge transformation of A, respectively. A pair (AB) of operators is said to have the Fuglede–Putnam property (breifly, the FP-property) if \(AX=XB\) implies \(A^*X=XB^*\) for every operator X. We prove that if (AB) has the FP-property, then \(({\widetilde{A}}_{s, t},{\widetilde{B}}_{s, t})\) and \((({\widetilde{A}}_{s, t})^{*},({\widetilde{B}}_{s, t})^{*})\) has the FP-property for every \(s,t>0\) with \(s+t=1\). Also, we prove that \(({\widetilde{A}}_{s, t},{\widetilde{B}}_{s, t})\) has the FP-property if and only if \((({\widetilde{A}}_{s, t})^{*},({\widetilde{B}}_{s, t})^{*})\) has the FP-property, where AB are invertible and \( 0 < s, t \) with \( s + t =1\). Moreover, we prove that if \(0 < s, t\) and \({\widetilde{A}}_{s, t}\) is positive and invertible, then \(\left\| {\widetilde{A}}_{s, t}X-X{\widetilde{A}}_{s, t}\right\| \le \left\| A\right\| ^{2t}\left\| ({\widetilde{A}}_{s, t})^{-1}\right\| \left\| X\right\| \) for every operator X. Also, if \( 0 <s, t\) and X is positive, then \(\left\| |{\widetilde{A}}_{s, t}|^{2r} X-X|{\widetilde{A}}_{s, t}|^{2r}\right\| \le \frac{1}{2}\left\| |A|\right\| ^{2r}\left\| X\right\| \) for every \(r>0\).  相似文献

We give explicit analytic criteria for two problems associated with the Schrödinger operator H=-Δ+Q on L2(? n ) where QD’(? n ) is an arbitrary real- or complex-valued potential.
First, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions on Q so that the quadratic form \(\langle{Q}\cdot,\ \cdot\rangle\) has zero relative bound with respect to the Laplacian. For QL1loc(? n ), this property can be expressed in the form of the integral inequality:
$\left\vert\int_{\mathbb{R}^n} |u(x)|^2 Q(x) dx \right\vert\leq\epsilon\| \nabla u \|^2_{L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)} + C(\epsilon) \|u \|^2_{L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)}, \quad\forall u \in C^{\infty}_0(\mathbb{R}^n),$
for an arbitrarily small ε>0 and some C(ε)>0. One of the major steps here is the reduction to a similar inequality with nonnegative function \(|\nabla(1-\Delta)^{-1} Q|^2 + |(1-\Delta)^{-1} Q|\) in place of Q. This provides a complete solution to the infinitesimal form boundedness problem for the Schrödinger operator, and leads to new broad classes of admissible distributional potentials Q, which extend the usual L p and Kato classes, as well as those based on the well-known conditions of Fefferman–Phong and Chang–Wilson–Wolff.
Secondly, we characterize Trudinger’s subordination property where C(ε) in the above inequality is subject to the condition C(ε)≤cε(β>0) as ε→+0. Such quadratic form inequalities can be understood entirely in the framework of Morrey–Campanato spaces, using mean oscillations of \(\nabla(1-\Delta)^{-1}Q\) and \((1-\Delta)^{-1}Q\) on balls or cubes. A version of this condition where ε∈(0,+∞) is equivalent to the multiplicative inequality:
$\left\vert\int_{\mathbb{R}^n} |u(x)|^2Q(x)dx\right\vert\leq{C}\|\nabla{u}\|^{2p}_{L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)}\|u\|^{2(1-p)}_{L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)},\quad\forall{u}\in{C}^\infty_0(\mathbb{R}^n),$
with \(p=\frac\beta{1 + \beta}\in(0,1)\). We show that this inequality holds if and only if \(\nabla\Delta^{-1} Q \in{BMO}(\mathbb{R}^n)\) if \(p=\frac{1}{2}\). For \(0 < p < \frac{1}{2}\), it is valid whenever \(\nabla\Delta^{-1}Q\) is Hölder-continuous of order 1-2p, or respectively lies in the Morrey space \(\mathcal{L}^{2,\lambda}\) with λ=n+2-4p if \(\frac{1}{2} < p < 1\). As a consequence, we characterize completely the class of those Q which satisfy an analogous multiplicative inequality of Nash’s type, with \(\|u\|_{L^1(\mathbb{R}^n)}\) in placeof \(\|u\|_{L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)}\).
These results are intimately connected with spectral theory and dynamics of the Schrödinger operator, and elliptic PDE theory.  相似文献

For a family of interpolation norms \({\| \cdot \|_{1,2,s}}\) on \({\mathbb{R}^{n}}\), we provide a distribution over random matrices \({\Phi_s \in \mathbb{R}^{m \times n}}\) parametrized by sparsity level s such that for a fixed set X of K points in \({\mathbb{R}^{n}}\), if \({m \geq C s \log(K)}\) then with high probability, \({\frac{1}{2}\| \varvec{x} \|_{1,2,s} \leq \| \Phi_s (\varvec{x}) \|_1 \leq 2 \| \varvec{x} \|_{1,2,s}}\) for all \({\varvec{x} \in X}\). Several existing results in the literature roughly reduce to special cases of this result at different values of s: For s = n, \({\| \varvec{x} \|_{1,2,n}\equiv \| \varvec{x} \|_{1}}\) and we recover that dimension reducing linear maps can preserve the ?1-norm up to a distortion proportional to the dimension reduction factor, which is known to be the best possible such result. For s = 1, \({\| \varvec{x} \|_{1,2,1}\equiv \| \varvec{x} \|_{2}}\), and we recover an ?2/?1 variant of the Johnson–Lindenstrauss Lemma for Gaussian random matrices. Finally, if \({\varvec{x}}\) is s- sparse, then \({\| \varvec{x} \|_{1,2,s} = \| \varvec{x} \|_1}\) and we recover that s-sparse vectors in \({\ell_1^n}\) embed into \({\ell_1^{\mathcal{O}(s \log(n))}}\) via sparse random matrix constructions.  相似文献

Let C be a convex d-dimensional body. If \(\rho \) is a large positive number, then the dilated body \(\rho C\) contains \(\rho ^{d}\left| C\right| +\mathcal {O}\left( \rho ^{d-1}\right) \) integer points, where \(\left| C\right| \) denotes the volume of C. The above error estimate \(\mathcal {O}\left( \rho ^{d-1}\right) \) can be improved in several cases. We are interested in the \(L^{2}\)-discrepancy \(D_{C}(\rho )\) of a copy of \(\rho C\) thrown at random in \(\mathbb {R}^{d}\). More precisely, we consider where \(\mathbb {T}^{d}=\) \(\mathbb {R}^{d}/\mathbb {Z}^{d}\) is the d-dimensional flat torus and \(SO\left( d\right) \) is the special orthogonal group of real orthogonal matrices of determinant 1. An argument of Kendall shows that \(D_{C}(\rho )\le c\ \rho ^{(d-1)/2}\). If C also satisfies the reverse inequality \(\ D_{C}(\rho )\ge c_{1} \ \rho ^{(d-1)/2}\), we say that C is \(L^{2}\) -regular. Parnovski and Sobolev proved that, if \(d>1\), a d-dimensional unit ball is \(L^{2} \)-regular if and only if \(d\not \equiv 1\ ({\text {mod}}4)\). In this paper we characterize the \(L^{2}\)-regular convex polygons. More precisely, we prove that a convex polygon is not \(L^{2}\)-regular if and only if it can be inscribed in a circle and it is symmetric about the centre.

We consider the perturbed Schrödinger equation
$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}{- \varepsilon ^2 \Delta u + V(x)u = P(x)|u|^{p - 2} u + k(x)|u|^{2* - 2} u} &; {\text{for}}\, x \in {\mathbb{R}}^N\\ \qquad \qquad \quad {u(x) \rightarrow 0} &; \text{as}\, {|x| \rightarrow \infty} \end{array} \right.$
where \(N\geq 3, \ 2^*=2N/(N-2)\) is the Sobolev critical exponent, \(p\in (2, 2^*)\) , P(x) and K(x) are bounded positive functions. Under proper conditions on V we show that it has at least one positive solution provided that \(\varepsilon\leq{\mathcal{E}}\) ; for any \(m\in{\mathbb{N}}\) , it has m pairs of solutions if \(\varepsilon\leq{\mathcal{E}}_{m}\) ; and suppose there exists an orthogonal involution \(\tau:{\mathbb{R}}^{N}\to{\mathbb{R}}^{N}\) such that V(x), P(x) and K(x) are τ -invariant, then it has at least one pair of solutions which change sign exactly once provided that \(\varepsilon\leq{\mathcal{E}}\) , where \({\mathcal{E}}\) and \({\mathcal{E}}_{m}\) are sufficiently small positive numbers. Moreover, these solutions \(u_\varepsilon\to 0\) in \(H^1({\mathbb{R}}^N)\) as \(\varepsilon\to 0\) .

Given initial data(ρ0, u0) satisfying 0 m ρ0≤ M, ρ0- 1 ∈ L2∩˙W1,r(R3) and u0 ∈˙H-2δ∩ H1(R3) for δ∈ ]1/4, 1/2[ and r ∈ ]6, 3/1- 2δ[, we prove that: there exists a small positive constant ε1,which depends on the norm of the initial data, so that the 3-D incompressible inhomogeneous Navier-Stokes system with variable viscosity has a unique global strong solution(ρ, u) whenever‖ u0‖ L2 ‖▽u0 ‖L2 ≤ε1 and ‖μ(ρ0)- 1‖ L∞≤ε0 for some uniform small constant ε0. Furthermore, with smoother initial data and viscosity coefficient, we can prove the propagation of the regularities for such strong solution.  相似文献

In this article we study the problem
$$\begin{aligned} \Delta ^{2}u-\left( a+b\int _{\mathbb {R}^{N}}\left| \nabla u\right| ^{2}dx\right) \Delta u+V(x)u=\left| u\right| ^{p-2}u\ \text { in }\mathbb {R}^{N}, \end{aligned}$$
where \(\Delta ^{2}:=\Delta (\Delta )\) is the biharmonic operator, \(a,b>0\) are constants, \(N\le 7,\) \(p\in (4,2_{*})\) for \(2_{*}\) defined below, and \(V(x)\in C(\mathbb {R}^{N},\mathbb {R})\). Under appropriate assumptions on V(x), the existence of least energy sign-changing solution is obtained by combining the variational methods and the Nehari method.

Suppose that m ≥ 2, numbers p 1, …, p m ∈ (1, +∞] satisfy the inequality \(\frac{1}{{{p_1}}} + \cdots + \frac{1}{{{p_m}}} < 1\), and functions \({\gamma _1} \in {L^{{p_1}}}\left( {{?^1}} \right), \cdots ,{\gamma _m} \in {L^{{p_m}}}\left( {{?^1}} \right)\) are given. It is proved that if the set of “resonance” points of each of these functions is nonempty and the “nonresonance” condition holds (both notions were defined by the author for functions in L p (?1), p ∈ (1, +∞]), then \(\mathop {\sup }\limits_{a,b \in {R^1}} \left| {\mathop \smallint \limits_a^b \prod\limits_{k = 1}^m {[{\gamma _k}\left( \tau \right) + \Delta {\gamma _k}\left( \tau \right)]} d\tau } \right| \leqslant C\prod\limits_{k = 1}^m {{{\left\| {{\gamma _k} + \Delta {\gamma _k}} \right\|}_{L_{ak}^{pk}\left( {{R^1}} \right)}}} \) where the constant C > 0 is independent of the functions \(\Delta {\gamma _k} \in L_{ak}^{pk}\left( {{?^1}} \right)\) and \(L_{ak}^{pk}\left( {{?^1}} \right) \subset {L^{pk}}\left( {{?^1}} \right)\), 1 ≤ km, are special normed spaces. A condition for the integral over ?1 of a product of functions to be bounded is also given.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the following Kirchhoff-type equations:
$$\begin{aligned} \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} \displaystyle -\big (a+b\int _{\mathbb {R}^{3}}|\nabla u|^{2}\mathrm {d}x\big )\Delta u+ V(x)u+\mu \phi |u|^{p-2}u=f(x, u)+g(x,u), &{} \text{ in } \mathbb {R}^{3},\\ (-\Delta )^{\frac{\alpha }{2}} \phi = \mu |u|^{p}, &{} \text{ in } \mathbb {R}^{3},\\ \end{array} \right. \end{aligned}$$
where \(a>0,~b,~\mu \ge 0\) are constants, \(\alpha \in (0,3)\), \(p\in [2,3+2\alpha )\), the potential V(x) may be unbounded from below and \(\phi |u|^{p-2}u\) is a Hartree-type nonlinearity. Under some mild conditions on V(x), f(xu) and g(xu), we prove that the above system has infinitely many nontrivial solutions. Specially, our results cover the general Schrödinger equations, the Kirchhoff equations and the Schrödinger–Poisson system.

We study, in the semiclassical limit, the singularly perturbed nonlinear Schrödinger equations
$$\begin{aligned} L^{\hbar }_{A,V} u = f(|u|^2)u \quad \hbox {in}\quad \mathbb {R}^N \end{aligned}$$
(0.1)
where \(N \ge 3\), \(L^{\hbar }_{A,V}\) is the Schrödinger operator with a magnetic field having source in a \(C^1\) vector potential A and a scalar continuous (electric) potential V defined by
$$\begin{aligned} L^{\hbar }_{A,V}= -\hbar ^2 \Delta -\frac{2\hbar }{i} A \cdot \nabla + |A|^2- \frac{\hbar }{i}\mathrm{div}A + V(x). \end{aligned}$$

Here, f is a nonlinear term which satisfies the so-called Berestycki-Lions conditions. We assume that there exists a bounded domain \(\Omega \subset \mathbb {R}^N\) such that
$$\begin{aligned} m_0 \equiv \inf _{x \in \Omega } V(x) < \inf _{x \in \partial \Omega } V(x) \end{aligned}$$
and we set \(K = \{ x \in \Omega \ | \ V(x) = m_0\}\). For \(\hbar >0\) small we prove the existence of at least \({\mathrm{cupl}}(K) + 1\) geometrically distinct, complex-valued solutions to (0.1) whose moduli concentrate around K as \(\hbar \rightarrow 0\).

The paper proves that for any ε > 0 there exists ameasurable set E ? Let \(E \subset {\mathbb {C}}\) be a Borel set such that \(0<{\mathcal {H}}^1(E)<\infty \). David and Léger proved that the Cauchy kernel 1 / z (and even its coordinate parts \(\mathrm{Re\,}z/|z|^2\) and \(\mathrm{Im\,}z/|z|^2, z\in {\mathbb {C}}{\setminus }\{0\}\)) has the following property: the \(L^2({\mathcal {H}}^1\lfloor E)\)-boundedness of the corresponding singular integral operator implies that E is rectifiable. Recently Chousionis, Mateu, Prat and Tolsa extended this result to any kernel of the form \((\mathrm{Re\,}z)^{2n-1}/|z|^{2n}, n\in {\mathbb {N}}\). In this paper, we prove that the above-mentioned property holds for operators associated with the much wider class of the kernels \((\mathrm{Re\,}z)^{2N-1}/|z|^{2N}+t\cdot (\mathrm{Re\,}z)^{2n-1}/|z|^{2n}\), where n and N are positive integer numbers such that \(N\geqslant n\), and \(t\in {\mathbb {R}}{\setminus } (t_1,t_2)\) with \(t_1,t_2\) depending only on n and N.  相似文献

Let\(B_{2}^{n}\) denote the Euclidean ball in\({\mathbb R}^n\), and, given closed star-shaped body\(K \subset {\mathbb R}^{n}, M_{K}\) denote the average of the gauge of K on the Euclidean sphere. Let\(p \in (0,1)\) and let\(K \subset {\mathbb R}^{n}\) be a p-convex body. In [17] we proved that for every\(\lambda \in (0,1)\) there exists an orthogonal projection P of rank\((1 - \lambda)n\) such that
$\frac{f(\lambda)}{M_K} PB^{n}_{2} \subset PK,$
where\(f(\lambda)=c_p\lambda^{1+1/p}\) for some positive constant c p depending on p only. In this note we prove that\(f(\lambda)\) can be taken equal to\(C_p\lambda^{1/p-1/2}\). In terms of Kolmogorov numbers it means that for every\(k \leq n\)
$d_k (\hbox{Id}:\ell^{n}_{2} \to ({\mathbb R}^{n},\|\cdot\|_{K})) \leq C_p \frac{n^{1/p-1}}{k^{1/p-1/2}} \ell(\hbox{ID}: \ell^{n}_{2} \to ({\mathbb R}^{n}, \|\cdot\|_{K})),$
where\(\ell(\hbox{Id})={\bf E}\|\sum\limits^{n}_{i=1}g_i e_i\|_K\) for the independent standard Gaussian random variables\(\{g_i\}\) and the canonical basis\(\{e_i\}\) of\({\mathbb R}^n\). All results do not require the symmetry of K.

In this paper, we consider the logarithmically improved regularity criterion for the supercritical quasi-geostrophic equation in Besov space \(\dot B_{\infty ,\infty }^{ - r}\left( {{\mathbb{R}^2}} \right)\). The result shows that if θ is a weak solutions satisfies
$$\int_0^T {\frac{{\left\| {\nabla \theta ( \cdot ,s)} \right\|_{\dot B_{\infty ,\infty }^{ - r} }^{\tfrac{\alpha }{{\alpha - r}}} }}{{1 + \ln \left( {e + \left\| {\nabla ^ \bot \theta ( \cdot ,s)} \right\|_{L^{\tfrac{2}{r}} } } \right)!}}ds < \infty for some 0 < r < \alpha and 0 < \alpha < 1,}$$
then θ is regular at t = T. In view of the embedding \({L^{\frac{2}{r}}} \subset M_{\frac{2}{r}}^p \subset \dot B_{\infty ,\infty }^{ - r}\) with \(2 \leqslant p < \frac{2}{r}\) and 0 ≤ r < 1, we see that our result extends the results due to [20] and [31].

Let \({{\|\cdot\|}}\) be a norm on \({\mathbb{R}^n}\) and \({\|.\|_*}\) be the dual norm. If \({\|\cdot\|}\) has a normalized 1-symmetric basis \({\{e_i\}_{i=1}^n}\) then the following inequalities hold: for all \({x,y\in \mathbb{R}^n}\), \({\|x\|\cdot\|y\|_*\le \max(\|x\|_1\cdot\|y\|_\infty,\|x\|_\infty\cdot\|y\|_1)}\) and if the basis is only 1-unconditional and normalized then for all \({x \in \mathbb{R}^n}\) , \({\|x\|+\|x\|_{*}\leq \|x\|_1+\|x\|_\infty}\) . We consider other geometric generalizations and apply these results to get, as a special case, estimates on best random embeddings of k-dimensional Hilbert spaces in the spaces of nuclear operators \({{\mathcal N}(K,K)}\) of dimension n 2, for all k = [λn 2] and 0 < λ < 1. We obtain universal upper bounds independent on the 1-symmetric norm \({\|.\|}\) for the products of pth moments
$\left( {\mathbb{E}} \left\|\sum_{i=1}^n f_i(\omega)\,e_i\right\|^p\cdot\, \mathbb {E} \left\|\sum_{i=1}^n f_i(\omega)\,e_i\right\|_*^p\right)^{1/p}$
for independent random variables {f i (ω)}, and 1 ≤ p < ∞.

is the hyperbolic Laplace operator in the n-dimensional space \(\mathbb {R}^n\) for \(n\ge 2\). We show that if \(n\ge 3\) and \(u\in C^{2}(\mathbb {B}^{n},{\mathbb R}^n) \cap C(\overline{\mathbb {B}^{n}},{\mathbb R}^n )\) is a solution to the hyperbolic Poisson equation, then it has the representation \(u=P_{h}[\phi ]-G_{ h}[\psi ]\) provided that \(u\mid _{\mathbb {S}^{n-1}}=\phi \) and \(\int _{\mathbb {B}^{n}}(1-|x|^{2})^{n-1} |\psi (x)|\,d\tau (x)<\infty \). Here \(P_{h}\) and \(G_{h}\) denote Poisson and Green integrals with respect to \(\Delta _{h}\), respectively. Furthermore, we prove that functions of the form \(u=P_{h}[\phi ]-G_{h}[\psi ]\) are Lipschitz continuous.

It is well known that the potential q of the Sturm–Liouville operator Ly = ?y? + q(x)y on the finite interval [0, π] can be uniquely reconstructed from the spectrum \(\left\{ {{\lambda _k}} \right\}_1^\infty \) and the normalizing numbers \(\left\{ {{\alpha _k}} \right\}_1^\infty \) of the operator LD with the Dirichlet conditions. For an arbitrary real-valued potential q lying in the Sobolev space \(W_2^\theta \left[ {0,\pi } \right],\theta > - 1\), we construct a function qN providing a 2N-approximation to the potential on the basis of the finite spectral data set \(\left\{ {{\lambda _k}} \right\}_1^N \cup \left\{ {{\alpha _k}} \right\}_1^N\). The main result is that, for arbitrary τ in the interval ?1 ≤ τ < θ, the estimate \({\left\| {q - \left. {{q_N}} \right\|} \right._\tau } \leqslant C{N^{\tau - \theta }}\) is true, where \({\left\| {\left. \cdot \right\|} \right._\tau }\) is the norm on the Sobolev space \(W_2^\tau \). The constant C depends solely on \({\left\| {\left. q \right\|} \right._\theta }\).  相似文献

For \(\lambda \) large, we can get solutions which have peaks near the non-degenerate critical points of Q.
