Let * be the equilateral triangulation of the plane and let 1 * be the equilateral triangle formed by four triangles of *. We study the space of piecewise polynomial functions in C k (R 2) with support 1 *, having a sufficiently high degree n and which are invariant with respect to the group of symmetries of 1 *. Such splines are called 1 *-splines. We first compute the dimension of this space in function of n and k. Then, for any fixed k0, we prove the existence of 1 *-splines of class C k and minimal degree, but these splines are not unique. Finally, we describe an algorithm computing the Bernstein–Bézier coefficients of these splines.  相似文献

Let R(r, m) be the rth order Reed-Muller code of length 2 m , and let (r, m) be its covering radius. We prove that if 2 k m - r - 1, then (r + k, m + k) (r, m + 2(k - 1). We also prove that if m - r 4, 2 k m - r - 1, and R(r, m) has a coset with minimal weight (r, m) which does not contain any vector of weight (r, m) + 2, then (r + k, m + k) (r, m) + 2k(. Given a fixed point free antianalytic involution k of a domain G in thecomplex plane, bounded by a finite number of analytic curves, k-invariant Greensfunctions are defined on G. The Lindelöfs principle is extended to k-invariantGreens functions. When G is the annulus, k-invariant Greens functions areobtained in the explicit form. Since the factorization of the annulus by the group kgenerated by k produces a Möbius strip, the respective result helped us to obtain explicitforms for Greens functions on the Möbius strip.  相似文献

We determine the exact order of -complexity of the numerical integration problem for the anisotropic class Wr(Id) and Hr(Id) with respect to the worst case randomized methods and the average case deterministic methods. We prove this result by developing a decomposition technique of Borel measure on unit cube of d-dimensional Euclidean space. Moreover by the imbedding relationship between function classes we extend our results to the classes of functions Wp(Id) and Hp(Id). By the way we highlight some typical results and stress the importance of some open problems related to the complexity of numerical integration. When we apply interior point algorithms to various problems including linear programs, convex quadratic programs, convex programs and complementarity problems, we often embed an original problem to be solved in an artificial problem having a known interior feasible solution from which we start the algorithm. The artificial problem involves a constant (or constants) which we need to choose large enough to ensure the equivalence between the artificial problem and the original problem. Theoretically, we can always assign a positive number of the order O(2 L ) to in linear cases, whereL denotes the input size of the problem. Practically, however, such a large number is impossible to implement on computers. If we choose too large, we may have numerical instability and/or computational inefficiency, while the artificial problem with not large enough will never lead to any solution of the original problem. To solve this difficulty, this paper presents a little theorem of the big, which will enable us to find whether is not large enough, and to update during the iterations of the algorithm even if we start with a smaller. Applications of the theorem are given to a polynomial-time potential reduction algorithm for positive semi-definite linear complementarity problems, and to an artificial self-dual linear program which has a close relation with the primal—dual interior point algorithm using Lustig's limiting feasible direction vector.  相似文献

We study a generalization of the classical Henstock-Kurzweil integral, known as the strong -integral, introduced by Jarník and Kurzweil. Let be the space of all strongly -integrable functions on a multidimensional compact interval E, equipped with the Alexiewicz norm We show that each element in the dual space of can be represented as a strong -integral. If (1-n,k)log n k (0,) as n for some k, then the locations where the extreme values occur cluster and the limiting distribution of the maxima is still the Gumbel distribution as in the stationary or i.i.d. case, but shifted by a parameter measuring the clustering. Triangular arrays of Gaussian sequences are used to approximate a continuous Gaussian process X(t), t 0. The cluster behavior of the random sequence refers to the behavior of the extremes values of the continuous process. The relation is analyzed. It reveals a new definition of the constants H used for the limiting distribution of maxima of continuous Gaussian processes and provides further understanding of the limit result for these extremes.  相似文献

Individual work by Professors G. Choquet and G. T. Sallee demonstrated that if were simple then there existed a convex chord-stretched version of . This result led Professor Yang Lu to conjecture that if were convex and were a chord-stretched version of then and would be congruent, i.e. any chord-stretching map of a convex arc is an isometry. Professor Yang Lu has proved this conjecture in the case where and are C 2 curves. In this paper we prove the conjecture in general.  相似文献

A previous result of the author is that if k 2, G isk-connected and every connected subgraphH ofG of order has at leastn +k 2 + 1/k + 1 – vertices outsideH adjacent to at least one vertex ofH, thenG contains aD -cycle. Here it is conjectured that k-connected can be replaced by k-cyclable, and this is proved fork = 3. As a consequence it is shown that ifn 4 – 6, or ifG is triangle-free andn 8 – 10, thenG contains aD 3-cycle orG , where denotes a well-known class of nonhamiltonian graphs of connectivity 2. As an analogue of a result of Nash-Williams it follows that ifn 4 – 6 and – 1, thenG is hamiltonian orG . The results are all best possible and compare favorably with recent results on hamiltonicity of graphs which are close to claw-free.  相似文献

For weakly stationary random fields, conditions on coefficients of linear dependence are given which are, respectively, sufficient for the existence of a continuous spectral density, and necessary and sufficient for the existence of a continuous positive spectral density. For strictly stationary random fields, central limit theorems are proved under the corresponding unrestricted -mixing condition and just finite or barely infinite second moments. It is shown that the class of all possible families of -subsets of finite ordinals in admissible sets coincides with a class of all non-empty families closed under e-reducibility and . The construction presented has the property of being minimal under effective definability. Also, we describe the smallest (w.r.t. inclusion) classes of families of subsets of natural numbers, computable in hereditarily finite superstructures. A new series of examples is constructed in which admissible sets lack in universal -function. Furthermore, we show that some principles of classical computability theory (such as the existence of an infinite non-trivial enumerable subset, existence of an infinite computable subset, reduction principle, uniformization principle) are always satisfied for the classes of all -subsets of finite ordinals in admissible sets.  相似文献
