This paper investigates existence of positive solutions of singular sub-linear boundary value problems on a half-line. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of positive continuous solutions or smooth solutions on [0, ∞] are given by constructing new lower and upper solutions.  相似文献

Based on the modified Jocobi elliptic function expansion method and the modified extended tanh-function method, a new algebraic method is presented to obtain multiple travelling wave solutions for nonlinear wave equations. By using the method ,Ito‘s 5th-order and 7th-order mKdV equations are studied in detail and more new exact Jocobi elliptic function periodic solutions are found. With modulus m→1 or m→0, these solutions degenerate into corresponding solitary wave solutions, shock wave solutions and trigonometric function solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we find by inverse technique two solutions of a system of linear equations which together serve as a sufficient and necessary condition for well-poised Bailey chains. Using these two solutions, we establish a new well-poised Bailey chain, two usual Bailey chains, and a well-poised extension of Bailey’s lemma. Their applications to q-series are also investigated. In this paper we consider the Cauchy problems of Burgers' equations and the Deybe system. Their existence and uniqueness of the time-global solutions for small initial data in some pseudomeasure spaces are obtained. The asymptotic stability of small solutions is proved. As an immediate result the existence and uniqueness of the self-similar solutions are also obtained provided the initial data satisfy the self-similar structures.  相似文献

A new class of functional equation in C0(I) is investigated. It is proved that some class of FIF satisfies the functional equation. Another functional equation is constructed. We propose a new method for showing C 1, α regularity for solutions of the infinity Laplacian equation and provide full details of the proof in two dimensions. We use quadratic penalty functions along with some recent ideas from linearl 1 estimation to arrive at a new characterization of primal optimal solutions in linear programs. The algorithmic implications of this analysis are studied, and a new, finite penalty algorithm for linear programming is designed. In this paper, a new superlinearly convergent algorithm is presented for optimization problems with general nonlineer equality and inequality Constraints, Comparing with other methods for these problems, the algorithm has two main advantages. First, it doesn‘t solve anyquadratic programming (QP), and its search directions are determined by the generalized projection technique and the solutions of two systems of linear equations. Second, the sequential points generated by the algoritbh satisfy all inequity constraints and its step-length is computed by the straight line search,The algorithm is proved to possesa global and auperlinear convergence.  相似文献

Using the methods of dynamical systems for the (n + 1)-dimensional multiple sine-Gordon equation, the existences of uncountably infinite many periodic wave solutions and breaking bounded wave solutions are obtained. For the double sine-Gordon equation, the exact explicit parametric representations of the bounded traveling solutions are given. To guarantee the existence of the above solutions, all parameter conditions are determined. This paper considers the nonexistence of periodic solutions in a class of nonlinear uncertain systems. Based on the generalized Kalman–Yakubovich–Popov (GKYP) lemma, linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) characterizations are derived to guarantee the nonexistence of periodic solutions in a certain frequency range. The new LMI conditions do not involve any product of the Lyapunov matrix and the system matrices. Based on the results, a dynamic output feedback controller is designed to ensure the nonexistence of periodic solutions in such systems. A concrete application to the Chua circuit shows the applicability and validity of the proposed approach. We obtain a partial generalization of Birkhoff’s theorem of invariant curve to higher dimesional case in the context of viscosity solutions of Hamilton-Jacobi equations, or weak KAM theory. This is a new approach after Herman’s proof. Conditions on the iterated resolvent of matrices have recently been used to derive new upper bounds for the norm of thenth power of the matrices.
