Relations between Gorenstein derived categories, Gorenstein defect categories and Gorenstein stable categories are established. Using these, the Gorensteinness of an algebra A and invariants with respect to recollements of the bounded Gorenstein derived category D gp b (A-mod) of A are investigated. Specifically, the Gorensteinness of A is characterized in terms of recollements of D gp b (A-mod) and Gorenstein derived equivalences. It is also shown that Cohen-Macaulay-finiteness is invariant with respect to the recollements of D gp b (A-mod).  相似文献

We clarify the relation between the subcategory D_(hf)~b(A) of homological finite objects in D~b(A)and the subcategory K~b(P) of perfect complexes in D~b(A), by giving two classes of abelian categories A with enough projective objects such that D_(hf)~b(A) = K~b(P), and finding an example such that D_(hf)~b(A)≠K~b(P). We realize the bounded derived category D~b(A) as a Verdier quotient of the relative derived category D_C~b(A), where C is an arbitrary resolving contravariantly finite subcategory of A. Using this relative derived categories, we get categorical resolutions of a class of bounded derived categories of module categories of infinite global dimension. We prove that if an Artin algebra A of infinite global dimension has a module T with inj.dimT ∞ such that ~⊥T is finite, then D~b(modA) admits a categorical resolution; and that for a CM(Cohen-Macaulay)-finite Gorenstein algebra, such a categorical resolution is weakly crepant.  相似文献

Let R be a right coherent ring and D~b(R-Mod) the bounded derived category of left R-modules. Denote by D~b(R-Mod)_([G F,C]) the subcategory of D~b(R-Mod) consisting of all complexes with both finite Gorenstein flat dimension and cotorsion dimension and K~b(F ∩ C) the bounded homotopy category of flat cotorsion left R-modules. We prove that the quotient triangulated category D~b(R-Mod)_([G F,C])/K~b(F ∩ C) is triangle-equivalent to the stable category GF ∩ C of the Frobenius category of all Gorenstein flat and cotorsion left R-modules.  相似文献

We study possible values of the global dimension of endomorphism algebras of 2-term silting complexes. We show that for any algebra A whose global dimension gl.dim A ≤ 2 and any 2-term silting complex P in the bounded derived category D b (A) of A, the global dimension of \(\text {End}_{{D^b(A)}}(\mathbf {P})\) is at most 7. We also show that for each n > 2, there is an algebra A with gl.dim A = n such that D b (A) admits a 2-term silting complex P with \(\mathrm {gl. dim~}\text {End}_{{D^b(A)}}(\mathbf {P})\) infinite.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is two-fold. Given a recollement (T′, T, T″, i*, i*, i!, j!, j*, j*), where T′, T, T″ are triangulated categories with small coproducts and T is compactly generated. First, the authors show that the BBD-induction of compactly generated t-structures is compactly generated when i* preserves compact objects. As a con-sequence, given a ladder (T′, T, T″, T, T′) of height 2, then the certain BBD-induction of compactly generated t-structures is compactly generated. The authors apply them to the recollements induced by homological ring epimorphisms. This is the first part of their work. Given a recollement (D(B-Mod),D(A-Mod),D(C-Mod), i*, i*, i!, j!, j*, j*) induced by a homological ring epimorphism, the last aim of this work is to show that if A is Gorenstein, A B has finite projective dimension and j! restricts to D b (C-mod), then this recollement induces an unbounded ladder (B-Gproj,A-Gproj, C-Gproj) of stable categories of finitely generated Gorenstein-projective modules. Some examples are described.  相似文献

Let D be a bounded domain in ? n (n ≥ 2) with infinitely smooth boundary ?D. We give some necessary and sufficient conditions for the Cauchy problem to be solvable in the Lebesgue space L 2(D) in D for an arbitrary differential operator A having an injective principal symbol. Furthermore, using bases with double orthogonality, we construct Carleman’s formula that restores a (vector-)function in L 2(D) from the Cauchy data given on a relatively open connected set Γ ? ?D and the values Au in D whenever the data belong to L 2(Γ) and L 2(D) respectively.  相似文献

We consider a self-adjoint matrix elliptic operator A ε, ε > 0, on L 2(R d ;C n ) given by the differential expression b(D)*g(x/ε)b(D). The matrix-valued function g(x) is bounded, positive definite, and periodic with respect to some lattice; b(D) is an (m × n)-matrix first order differential operator such that mn and the symbol b(ξ) has maximal rank. We study the operator cosine cos(τA ε 1/2 ), where τ ∈ R. It is shown that, as ε → 0, the operator cos(τA ε 1/2 ) converges to cos(τ(A 0)1/2) in the norm of operators acting from the Sobolev space H s (R d ;C n ) (with a suitable s) to L 2(R d ;C n ). Here A 0 is the effective operator with constant coefficients. Sharp-order error estimates are obtained. The question about the sharpness of the result with respect to the type of the operator norm is studied. Similar results are obtained for more general operators. The results are applied to study the behavior of the solution of the Cauchy problem for the hyperbolic equation ? τ 2 u ε (x, τ) = ?A ε u ε (x, τ).  相似文献

A classical result of Herstein asserts that any Jordan derivation on a prime ring with char(R) ≠ 2 is a derivation. It is our aim in this paper to prove the following result, which is in the spirit of Herstein’s theorem. Let R be a prime ring with char(R) = 0 or char(R) > 4, and let D: RR be an additive mapping satisfying the relation D(x4) = D(x)x3 + xD(x2)x + x3D(x) for all xR. In this case, D is a derivation.  相似文献

Let A be an expanding integer n×n matrix and D be a finite subset of ? n . The self-affine set T=T(A,D) is the unique compact set satisfying the equality \(A(T)=\bigcup_{d\in D}(T+d)\). We present an effective algorithm to compute the Lebesgue measure of the self-affine set T, the measure of the intersection T∩(T+u) for u∈? n , and the measure of the intersection of self-affine sets T(A,D 1)∩T(A,D 2) for different sets D 1, D 2?? n .  相似文献

We consider a self-adjoint elliptic operator Aε, ε> 0, on L2(Rd; Cn) given by the differential expression b(D)*g(x/ε)b(D). Here \(b(D) = \sum\nolimits_{j = 1}^d {b_j D_j }\) is a first-order matrix differential operator such that the symbol b(ξ) has maximal rank. The matrix-valued function g(x) is bounded, positive definite, and periodic with respect to some lattice. We study the operator exponential \({e^{ - i\tau {A_\varepsilon }}}\), where τ ∈ R. It is shown that, as ε → 0, the operator \({e^{ - i\tau {A_\varepsilon }}}\) converges to \({e^{ - i\tau {A^0}}}\) in the norm of operators acting from the Sobolev space Hs(Rd;Cn) (with suitable s) to L2(Rd;Cn). Here A0 is the effective operator with constant coefficients. Order-sharp error estimates are obtained. The question about the sharpness of the result with respect to the type of the operator norm is studied. Similar results are obtained for more general operators. The results are applied to study the behavior of the solution of the Cauchy problem for the Schrödinger-type equation i?τuε(x, τ) = Aεuε(x, τ).  相似文献

Let A and K be positive integers and ε∈ {-2,-1,1,2}. The main contribution of the paper is a proof that each of the D(ε~2)-triples {K, A~2 K+2εA,(A +1)~2 K + 2ε(A+1)} has uniqui extension to a D(ε~2)-quadruple. This is used to slightly strengthen the conditions required for the existencc of a D(1)-quintuple whose smallest three elements form a regular triple.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the study of evolution problems of the form \(-\frac {du}{dr}(t) \in A(t)u(t) + f(t, u(t))\) in a new setting, where, for each t, A(t) : D(A(t)) → 2 H is a maximal monotone operator in a Hilbert space H and the mapping t?A(t) has continuous bounded or Lipschitz variation on [0, T], in the sense of Vladimirov’s pseudo-distance. The measure dr gives an upper bound of that variation. The perturbation f is separately integrable on [0, T] and separately Lipschitz on H. Several versions and new applications are presented.  相似文献

We find the greatest value α 1 and α 2, and the least values β 1 and β 2, such that the double inequalities α 1 S(a,b)?+?(1???α 1) A(a,b)?T(a,b)?β 1 S(a,b)?+?(1???β 1) A(a,b) and \(S^{\alpha_{2}}(a,b)A^{1-\alpha_{2}}(a,b)< T(a,b)< S^{\beta_{2}}(a,b)A^{1-\beta_{2}}(a,b)\) hold for all a,b?>?0 with a?≠?b. As applications, we get two new bounds for the complete elliptic integral of the second kind in terms of elementary functions. Here, S(a,b)?=?[(a 2?+?b 2)/2]1/2, A(a,b)?=?(a?+?b)/2, and \(T(a,b)=\frac{2}{\pi}\int\limits_{0}^{{\pi}/{2}}\sqrt{a^2{\cos^2{\theta}}+b^2{\sin^2{\theta}}}{\rm d}\theta\) denote the root-square, arithmetic, and Toader means of two positive numbers a and b, respectively.  相似文献

A general theorem (principle of a priori boundedness) on solvability of the boundary value problem dx = dA(t) · f(t, x), h(x) = 0 is established, where f: [a, b]×R n → R n is a vector-function belonging to the Carathéodory class corresponding to the matrix-function A: [a, b] → R n×n with bounded total variation components, and h: BVs([a, b],R n ) → R n is a continuous operator. Basing on the mentioned principle of a priori boundedness, effective criteria are obtained for the solvability of the system under the condition x(t1(x)) = B(x) · x(t 2(x))+c 0, where t i: BVs([a, b],R n ) → [a, b] (i = 1, 2) and B: BVs([a, b], R n ) → R n are continuous operators, and c 0 ∈ R n .  相似文献

We give the new inequality related to the J. C. C. Nitsche conjecture (see [6]). Moreover, we consider the two- and three-dimensional case. LetA(r, 1)={z:r<|z|<1}. Nitsche's conjecture states that if there exists a univalent harmonic mapping from an annulusA(r, 1), to an annulusA(s, 1), thens is at most 2r/(r 2+1).Lyzzaik's result states thats<t wheret is the length of the Grötzsch's ring domain associated withA(r, 1) (see [5]). Weitsman's result states thats≤1/(1+1/2(r logr)2) (see [8]).Our result for two-dimensional space states thats≤1/(1+1/2 log2 r) which improves Weitsman's bound for allr, and Lyzzaik's bound forr close to 1. For three-dimensional space the result states thats≤1/(r?logr).  相似文献

Let K be an ultrametric complete algebraically closed field, let D be a disk {x ∈ K ‖x| < R} (with R in the set of absolute values of K) and let A be the Banach algebra of bounded analytic functions in D. The vector space generated by the set of characters of A is dense in the topological dual of A if and only if K is not spherically complete. Let H(D) be the Banach algebra of analytic elements in D. The vector space generated by the set of characters of H(D) is never dense in the topological dual of H(D).  相似文献

The paper studies the global convergence of the Jacobi method for symmetric matrices of size 4. We prove global convergence for all 720 cyclic pivot strategies. Precisely, we show that inequality S(A [t+3]) ≤ γ S(A [t]), t ≥ 1, holds with the constant γ < 1 that depends neither on the matrix A nor on the pivot strategy. Here, A [t] stands for the matrix obtained from A after t full cycles of the Jacobi method and S(A) is the off-diagonal norm of A. We show why three consecutive cycles have to be considered. The result has a direct application on the J-Jacobi method.  相似文献

Let R be a 6-torsion-free prime ring and let \({D : R \rightarrow R}\) be an additive mapping satisfying the relation 2D(x 4) = D(x 3)x + x 3 D(x) + D(x)x 3 + xD(x 3) for all \({x \in R}\) . The purpose of this paper is to show that D is a derivation. This result is related to a classical result of Herstein, which states that any Jordan derivation on a 2-torsion-free prime ring is a derivation.  相似文献

The article is devoted to the theory of elliptic functions of level n. An elliptic function of level n determines a Hirzebruch genus called an elliptic genus of level n. Elliptic functions of level n are also of interest because they are solutions of the Hirzebruch functional equations. The elliptic function of level 2 is the Jacobi elliptic sine function, which determines the famous Ochanine–Witten genus. It is the exponential of the universal formal group of the form F(u, v) = (u2 ? v2)/(uB(v) ? vB(u)), B(0) = 1. The elliptic function of level 3 is the exponential of the universal formal group of the form F(u, v) = (u2A(v) ? v2A(u))/(uA(v)2 ? vA(u)2), A(0) = 1, A″(0) = 0. In the present study we show that the elliptic function of level 4 is the exponential of the universal formal group of the form F(u, v) = (u2A(v) ? v2A(u))/(uB(v) ? vB(u)), where A(0) = B(0) = 1 and for B′(0) = A″(0) = 0, A′(0) = A1, and B″(0) = 2B2 the following relation holds: (2B(u) + 3A1u)2 = 4A(u)3 ? (3A12 ? 8B2)u2A(u)2. To prove this result, we express the elliptic function of level 4 in terms of the Weierstrass elliptic functions.  相似文献

In earlier papers, for “large” (but otherwise unspecified) subsets A, B of Z p and for h(x) ∈ Z p [x], Gyarmati studied the solvability of the equations a + b = h(x), resp. ab = h(x) with aA, bB, xZ p , and for large subsets A, B, C, D of Z p Sárközy showed the solvability of the equations a + b = cd, resp. ab + 1 = cd with aA, bB, cC, dD. In this series of papers equations of this type will be studied in finite fields. In particular, in Part I of the series we will prove the necessary character sum estimates of independent interest some of which generalize earlier results.  相似文献
