We consider smooth moduli spaces of semistable vector bundles of fixed rank and determinant on a compact Riemann surface X of genus at least 3. The choice of a Poincaré bundle for such a moduli space M induces an isomorphism between X and a component of the moduli space of semistable sheaves over M. We prove that \(\dim H^0(M,\, \text {End}({\mathcal {E}})\otimes TM)\,=\, 1\) for any vector bundle \(\mathcal {E}\) on M coming from this component. Furthermore, there are no nonzero integrable co-Higgs fields on \(\mathcal {E}\).  相似文献

In this paper we prove that the moduli spaces of framed vector bundles over a surface X, satisfying certain conditions, admit a family of Poisson structures parametrized by the global sections of a certain line bundle on X. This generalizes to the case of framed vector bundles previous results obtained in [B2] for the moduli space of vector bundles over a Poisson surface. As a corollary of this result we prove that the moduli spaces of framed SU(r) – instantons on S4 = ℝ4 ∪ {∞} admit a natural holomorphic symplectic structure.  相似文献

We consider a compact twistor space P and assume that there is a surface SP, which has degree one on twistor fibres and contains a twistor fibre F, e.g. P a LeBrun twistor space ([20], [18]). Similar to [6] and [5] we examine the restriction of an instanton bundle V equipped with a fixed trivialization along F to a framed vector bundle over (S, F). First we develope inspired by [13] a suitable deformation theory for vector bundles over an analytic space framed by a vector bundle over a subspace of arbitrary codimension. In the second section we describe the restriction as a smooth natural transformation into a fine moduli space. By considering framed U(r)‐instanton bundles as a real structure on framed instanton bundles over P, we show that the bijection between isomorphism classes of framed U(r)‐instanton bundles and isomorphism classes of framed vector bundles over (S, F) due to [5] is actually an isomorphism of moduli spaces.  相似文献

Let C be an irreducible smooth projective curve, of genus at least two, defined over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. For a fixed line bundle L on C, let M C (r; L) be the coarse moduli space of semistable vector bundles E over C of rank r with ∧ r E = L. We show that the Brauer group of any desingularization of M C (r; L) is trivial.  相似文献

Let C be a smooth projective curve over an algebraically closed field of arbitrary characteristic. Let M r,L ss denote the projective coarse moduli scheme of semistable rank r vector bundles over C with fixed determinant L. We prove Pic(M r,L ss) = ℤ, identify the ample generator, and deduce that M r,L ss is locally factorial. In characteristic zero, this has already been proved by Drézet and Narasimhan. The main point of the present note is to circumvent the usual problems with Geometric Invariant Theory in positive characteristic.  相似文献

LetS be a compact orientable surface, letQ be the moduli space of quadratic differentials onS and letM be a stratum inQ. We explicitly describe the minimal sets for the (Teichmüller) horocycle flow onM and onQ, and show that these correspond to horizontal cylindrical decompositions ofS.  相似文献

We present a new construction of tubular neighborhoods in (possibly infinite dimensional) Riemannian manifolds M, which allows us to show that if G is an arbitrary group acting isometrically on M, then every G-invariant submanifold with locally trivial normal bundle has a G-invariant total tubular neighborhood. We apply this result to the Morse strata of the Yang-Mills functional over a closed surface. The resulting neighborhoods play an important role in calculations of gauge-equivariant cohomology for moduli spaces of flat connections over non-orientable surfaces.  相似文献

We study compact complex submanifolds S of quotient manifolds X = ?/Γ of irreducible bounded symmetric domains by torsion free discrete lattices of automorphisms, and we are interested in the characterization of the totally geodesic submanifolds among compact splitting complex submanifolds S ? X, i.e., under the assumption that the tangent sequence over S splits holomorphically. We prove results of two types. The first type of results concerns S ? X which are characteristic complex submanifolds, i.e., embedding ? as an open subset of its compact dual manifold M by means of the Borel embedding, the non-zero(1, 0)-vectors tangent to S lift under a local inverse of the universal covering map π : ? → X to minimal rational tangents of M.We prove that a compact characteristic complex submanifold S ? X is necessarily totally geodesic whenever S is a splitting complex submanifold. Our proof generalizes the case of the characterization of totally geodesic complex submanifolds of quotients of the complex unit ball Bnobtained by Mok(2005). The proof given here is however new and it is based on a monotonic property of curvatures of Hermitian holomorphic vector subbundles of Hermitian holomorphic vector bundles and on exploiting the splitting of the tangent sequence to identify the holomorphic tangent bundle TSas a quotient bundle rather than as a subbundle of the restriction of the holomorphic tangent bundle TXto S. The second type of results concerns characterization of total geodesic submanifolds among compact splitting complex submanifolds S ? X deduced from the results of Aubin(1978)and Yau(1978) which imply the existence of K¨ahler-Einstein metrics on S ? X. We prove that compact splitting complex submanifolds S ? X of sufficiently large dimension(depending on ?) are necessarily totally geodesic. The proof relies on the Hermitian-Einstein property of holomorphic vector bundles associated to TS,which implies that endomorphisms of such bundles are parallel, and the construction of endomorphisms of these vector bundles by means of the splitting of the tangent sequence on S. We conclude with conjectures on the sharp lower bound on dim(S) guaranteeing total geodesy of S ? X for the case of the type-I domains of rank2 and the case of type-IV domains, and examine a case which is critical for both conjectures, i.e., on compact complex surfaces of quotients of the 4-dimensional Lie ball, equivalently the 4-dimensional type-I domain dual to the Grassmannian of 2-planes in C~4.  相似文献

We show that on a Riemann surface X close to a maximally degenerate complex curve, any semistable vector bundle of degree 0 is associated with a linear representation of the Schottky group ?? X uniformizing X. Further, we study the relationship between the representation space of ?? X and the moduli space of semistable bundles on X as a higher rank version of Abel?CJacobi??s theorem.  相似文献

We compute the Picard group of the moduli spaceU′ of semistable vector bundles of rankn and degreed on an irreducible nodal curveY and show thatU′ is locally factorial. We determine the canonical line bundles ofU′ andU L , the subvariety consisting of vector bundles with a fixed determinant. For rank 2, we compute the Picard group of other strata in the compactification ofU′.  相似文献

Let ƒ:MDC n be a holomorphic family of compact, complex surfaces, which is locally trivial onD∖Z, for an analytic subsetZ. Conditions are found under which ƒ extends trivially toD, if the fibers of ƒ|D∖Z are either Hirzebruch surfaces (projective bundles overP 1), Hopf surfaces (elliptic bundles overP 1), hyperelliptic bundles, or any compact complex surface having one of these as minimal model under blowing-down. The results of this paper are motivated by the existence of non-Hausdorff moduli spaces in the deformation of complex structure for certain complex manifolds.  相似文献

For smooth projective varietiesX over ℂ, the Hodge Conjecture states that every rational Cohomology class of type (p, p) comes from an algebraic cycle. In this paper, we prove the Hodge conjecture for some moduli spaces of vector bundles on compact Riemann surfaces of genus 2 and 3.  相似文献

Let (S, H) be a polarized K3 surface. We define Brill-Noether filtration on moduli spaces of vector bundles on S. Assume that (c 1(E), H) > 0 for a sheaf E in the moduli space. We give a formula for the expected dimension of the Brill-Noether subschemes. Following the classical theory for curves, we give a notion of Brill-Noether generic K3 surfaces.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to show that the moduli space M 10 introduced by O’Grady is a 2-factorial variety. Namely, M 10 is the moduli space of semistable sheaves with Mukai vector v: = (2, 0, −2) in Hev(X,\mathbbZ){H^{ev}(X,\mathbb{Z})} on a projective K3 surface X. As a corollary to our construction, we show that the Donaldson morphism gives a Hodge isometry between v^{v^{\perp}} (sublattice of the Mukai lattice of X) and its image in H2 ([(M)\tilde]10, \mathbbZ){H^{2} (\widetilde{M}_{10}, \mathbb{Z})}, lattice with respect to the Beauville form of the 10-dimensional irreducible symplectic manifold [(M)\tilde]10{\widetilde{M}_{10}}, obtained as symplectic resolution of M 10. Similar results are shown for the moduli space M 6 introduced by O’Grady to produce its 6-dimensional example of irreducible symplectic variety.  相似文献

We construct a holomorphic Hermitian line bundle over the moduli space of stable triples of the form (E1, E2,?), where E1 and E2 are holomorphic vector bundles over a fixed compact Riemann surfaceX, and?: E2 E1 is a holomorphic vector bundle homomorphism. The curvature of the Chern connection of this holomorphic Hermitian line bundle is computed. The curvature is shown to coincide with a constant scalar multiple of the natural Kähler form on the moduli space. The construction is based on a result of Quillen on the determinant line bundle over the space of Dolbeault operators on a fixed C Hermitian vector bundle over a compact Riemann surface.  相似文献

We show that over some smooth projective varieties every semistable Higgs logarithmic vector bundle is semistable in the ordinary sense, hence satisfies Bogomolov inequality. More generaly, we prove that semistable Higgs parabolic vector bundles of rank two over smooth projective varieties of dimension ≥ 2 satisfy the “parabolic” 'Bogomolov inequality Received: 1 March 1999 / Revised version: 11 June 1999  相似文献

The duality of moduli spaces of coherent sheaves on curves and surfaces gives a GIT free construction of these spaces. It is a suitable generalization for topics as: strange duality, jumping lines of vector bundles on projective space, and Faltings' construction of the moduli space of semistable vector bundles on a complex curve given in his article Stable G-bundles and projective connections. Using this duality we propose a construction for the moduli space of semistable sheaves on a surface.  相似文献
