In this paper we define the sequence sets ?(u,Δ2,p), c(u,Δ2,p) and c0(u,Δ2,p), and give α- and β-duals of these sets. Further we investigate matrix transformations in the spaces and give a characterization of the class (?(u,Δ2,p),?).  相似文献

The sequence spaces ?(p), c(p) and c0(p) were introduced and studied by Maddox [I.J. Maddox, Paranormed sequence spaces generated by infinite matrices, Proc. Cambridge Philos. Soc. 64 (1968) 335-340]. In the present paper, the sequence spaces λ(u,v;p) of non-absolute type which are derived by the generalized weighted mean are defined and proved that the spaces λ(u,v;p) and λ(p) are linearly isomorphic, where λ denotes the one of the sequence spaces ?, c or c0. Besides this, the β- and γ-duals of the spaces λ(u,v;p) are computed and the basis of the spaces c0(u,v;p) and c(u,v;p) is constructed. Additionally, it is established that the sequence space c0(u,v) has AD property and given the f-dual of the space c0(u,v;p). Finally, the matrix mappings from the sequence spaces λ(u,v;p) to the sequence space μ and from the sequence space μ to the sequence spaces λ(u,v;p) are characterized.  相似文献

In this article, using generalized weighted mean and difference matrix of order m, we introduce the paranormed sequence space ?(u, v, p; Δ(m)), which consist of the sequences whose generalized weighted Δ(m)-difference means are in the linear space ?(p) defined by I.J. Maddox. Also, we determine the basis of this space and compute its α-, β- and γ-duals. Further, we give the characterization of the classes of matrix mappings from ?(u, v, p, Δ(m)) to ?, c and c0. Finally, we apply the Hausdorff measure of noncompacness to characterize some classes of compact operators given by matrices on the space ?p(u, v, Δ(m))(1 ≤ p < ∞).  相似文献

For classical Banach sequence spaces c0(X), l(X) and lp(X) (0<p<+∞) we have found the strongest intrinsical meanings of their β-duals, and two basic convergence results are established in the β-duals.  相似文献

In this study, we define the double sequence spaces BS, BS(t), CSp, CSbp, CSr and BV, and also examine some properties of those sequence spaces. Furthermore, we show that these sequence spaces are complete paranormed or normed spaces under some certain conditions. We determine the α-duals of the spaces BS, BV, CSbp and the β(?)-duals of the spaces CSbp and CSr of double series. Finally, we give the conditions which characterize the class of four-dimensional matrix mappings defined on the spaces CSbp, CSr and CSp of double series.  相似文献

Buchwalter and Schmets reconciled Cc(X) and Cp(X) spaces with most of the weak barrelledness conditions of 1973, but could not determine if -barrelled ⇔ ?-barrelled for Cc(X). The areas grew apart. Full reconciliation with the fourteen conditions adopted by Saxon and Sánchez Ruiz needs their 1997 characterization of Ruess' property (L), which allows us to reduce the Cc(X) problem to its 1973 status and solve it by carefully translating the topology of Kunen (1980) and van Mill (1982) to find the example that eluded Buchwalter and Schmets. The more tractable Cp(X) readily partitions the conditions into just two equivalence classes, the same as for metrizable locally convex spaces, instead of the five required for Cc(X) spaces. Our paper elicits others, soon to appear, that analytically characterize when the Tychonov space X is pseudocompact, or Warner bounded, or when Cc(X) is a df-space (Jarchow's 1981 question).  相似文献

For a given measurable space (Ω,Σ), and a vector measure m:ΣX with values in a Banach space X we consider the spaces of p-power integrable and weakly integrable, respectively, functions with respect to the measure m, Lp(m) and , for 1?p<∞. In this note we describe the real interpolated spaces that we obtain when the K-method is applied to any couple of these spaces.  相似文献

Let M be a II-factor and denote by τ its normal faithful semi-finite trace. For any rearrangement invariant Köthe function space X on [0,+∞[, let X(M,τ) be the associated non-commutative Banach function space. This paper is concerned with ideals in M of the form IX(M,τ)=MX(M,τ) that are contained in Lp(M,τ) for some p>0. It is proved that an element T in IX(M,τ) is a finite sum of commutators of the form [A,B] with AIX(M,τ) and BM if and only if the function belongs to X, where νT is the Brown spectral measure of T and tλt(T) is the non-increasing rearrangement of the function λ→|λ| with respect to νT. This extends to general Banach function spaces a result obtained by Kalton for quasi-Banach ideals of compact operators and implies that the Dixmier's trace of a quasi-nilpotent element in L1,∞(M,τ) is always zero.  相似文献

In the present paper, the difference sequence spaces cs0λ(Δ),csλ(Δ) and bsλ(Δ) of nonabsolute type are generalized by introducing a generalized Λ difference operator Λ(Δ(α?)). Also, their Schauder basis are calculated and α-, β- and γ-duals of these spaces are investigated. Finally, some matrix transformations between these spaces and the basic sequence spaces ?p, c and c0 are characterized, where 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞.  相似文献

In recent papers (cf. [J.L. Arregui, O. Blasco, (p,q)-Summing sequences, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 274 (2002) 812-827; J.L. Arregui, O. Blasco, (p,q)-Summing sequences of operators, Quaest. Röntgen, Banach space sequences and projective tensor products, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 277 (2) (2003) 629-644]) the concept of (p,q)-summing multiplier was considered in both general and special context. It has been shown that some geometric properties of Banach spaces and some classical theorems can be described using spaces of (p,q)-summing multipliers. The present paper is a continuation of this study, whereby multiplier spaces for some classical Banach spaces are considered. The scope of this research is also broadened, by studying other classes of summing multipliers. Let E(X) and F(Y) be two Banach spaces whose elements are sequences of vectors in X and Y, respectively, and which contain the spaces c00(X) and c00(Y) of all X-valued and Y-valued sequences which are eventually zero, respectively. Generally spoken, a sequence of bounded linear operators (un)⊂L(X,Y) is called a multiplier sequence from E(X) to F(Y) if the linear operator from c00(X) into c00(Y) which maps (xi)∈c00(X) onto (unxn)∈c00(Y) is bounded with respect to the norms on E(X) and F(Y), respectively. Several cases where E(X) and F(Y) are different (classical) spaces of sequences, including, for instance, the spaces Rad(X) of almost unconditionally summable sequences in X, are considered. Several examples, properties and relations among spaces of summing multipliers are discussed. Important concepts like R-bounded, semi-R-bounded and weak-R-bounded from recent papers are also considered in this context.  相似文献

Let {X α } α∈Λ be a family of topological spaces and x α X α , for every α ∈ Λ. Suppose X is the quotient space of the disjoint union of X α ’s by identifying x α ’s as one point σ. We try to characterize ideals of C(X) according to the same ideals of C(X α )’s. In addition we generalize the concept of rank of a point, see [9], and then answer the following two algebraic questions. Let m be an infinite cardinal. (1) Is there any ring R and I an ideal in R such that I is an irreducible intersection of m prime ideals? (2) Is there any set of prime ideals of cardinality m in a ring R such that the intersection of these prime ideals can not be obtained as an intersection of fewer than m prime ideals in R? Finally, we answer an open question in [11].  相似文献

In this paper, existence and attractiveness of solutions for quadratic Urysohn fractional integral equations on an unbounded interval are obtained by virtue of Tichonov fixed point theorem and suitable conjunction of the well known measure ω0(X) and the spaces C(R+). Further, three certain solutions sets XL,γ, X1,α and X1,(1−(α+v)), which tending to zero at an appropriate rate tν (ν > 0), ν = γ (or α or 1 − (α + v)) as t → ∞, are introduced and stability of solutions for quadratic Urysohn fractional integral equations are obtained based on these solutions sets respectively by applying Schauder fixed point theorem via some easy checked conditions. An example is given to illustrate the results.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence of multiple positive solutions to some Hamiltonian elliptic systems −Δv=λu+up+εf(x), −Δu=μv+vq+δg(x) in Ω;u,v>0 in Ω; u=v=0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a bounded domain in RN (N?3); 0?f, g∈L∞(Ω); 1/(p+1)+1/(q+1)=(N−2)/N, p,q>1; λ,μ>0. Using sub- and supersolution method and based on an adaptation of the dual variational approach, we prove the existence of at least two nontrivial positive solutions for all λ,μ∈(0,λ1) and ε,δ∈(0,δ0), where λ1 is the first eigenvalue of the Laplace operator −Δ with zero Dirichlet boundary conditions and δ0 is a positive number.  相似文献

Abstract

The c-realcompact spaces are fully studied and most of the important and well-known properties of realcompact spaces are extended to these spaces. For a zero-dimensional space X, the space υ0X, which is the counterpart of υX, the Hewitt realcompactification of X, is introduced and studied. It is shown that υ0X, which is the smallest c-realcompact space between X and β0X, plays the same role (with respect to Cc(X)) as υX does in the context of C(X). It is proved for strongly zero-dimensional spaces, c-realcompact spaces, realcompact spaces and N-compact spaces coincide. In particular, if X is a strongly zero-dimensional space, then υX = υ0X. It is obsesrved that a zero-dimensional space X is pseudocompact if and only if Cc(X) = C*c(X), or equivalently if and only if υ0X = β0 X. In particular, a zero-dimensional pseudocompact space is compact if and only if it is c-realcompact. It is shown that Lindelöf spaces, subspaces of the one-point compactification (resp., Lindelöffication) of a discrete space with a nonmeasurable cardinal, are c-realcompact space. If X is a pseudocompact space, it is observed that C(X) = Cc(X) if and only if βX is scattered. Finally, the simplest possible proof (with reasoning) among the known proofs, of the well-known fact that discrete spaces of cardinality less than or equal to that of the continuum are realcompact, is given.  相似文献

The little Grothendieck theorem for Banach spaces says that every bounded linear operator between C(K) and ?2 is 2-summing. However, it is shown in [M. Junge, Embedding of the operator space OH and the logarithmic ‘little Grothendieck inequality’, Invent. Math. 161 (2) (2005) 225-286] that the operator space analogue fails. Not every cb-map is completely 2-summing. In this paper, we show an operator space analogue of Maurey's theorem: every cb-map is (q,cb)-summing for any q>2 and hence admits a factorization ‖v(x)‖?c(q)‖vcbaxbq with a,b in the unit ball of the Schatten class S2q.  相似文献

Let Z be a closed, boundedly relatively weakly compact, nonempty subset of a Banach space X, and J:Z→R a lower semicontinuous function bounded from below. If X0 is a convex subset in X and X0 has approximatively Z-property (K), then the set of all points x in X0?Z for which there exists z0Z such that J(z0)+‖xz0‖=?(x) and every sequence {zn}⊂Z satisfying limn→∞[J(zn)+‖xzn‖]=?(x) for x contains a subsequence strongly convergent to an element of Z is a dense Gδ-subset of X0?Z. Moreover, under the assumption that X0 is approximatively Z-strictly convex, we show more, namely that the set of all points x in X0?Z for which there exists a unique point z0Z such that J(z0)+‖xz0‖=?(x) and every sequence {zn}⊂Z satisfying limn→∞[J(zn)+‖xzn‖=?(x) for x converges strongly to z0 is a dense Gδ-subset of X0?Z. Here . These extend S. Cobzas's result [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 243 (2000) 344-356].  相似文献

If (Σ,X) is a measurable space and X a Banach space we investigate the X-inheritance of copies of ? in certain subspaces Δ(Σ,X) of bvca(Σ,X), the Banach space of all X-valued countable additive measures of bounded variation equipped with the variation norm. Among the consequences of our main theorem we get a theorem of J. Mendoza on the X-inheritance of copies of ? in the Bochner space L1(μ,X) and other of the author on the X-inheritance of copies of ? in bvca(Σ,X).  相似文献
