In this paper, a reactive dynamic user equilibrium model is extended to simulate two groups of pedestrians traveling on crossing paths in a continuous walking facility. Each group makes path choices to minimize the travel cost to its destination in a reactive manner based on instantaneous information. The model consists of a conservation law equation coupled with an Eikonal-type equation for each group. The velocity-density relationship of pedestrian movement is obtained via an experimental method. The model is solved using a finite volume method for the conservation law equation and a fast-marching method for the Eikonal-type equation on unstructured grids. The numerical results verify the rationality of the model and the validity of the numerical method. Based on this continuum model, a number of results, e.g., the formation of strips or moving clusters composed of pedestrians walking to the same destination, are also observed.  相似文献

The mixed volume and the measure of asymmetry for convex bodies are two important topics in convex geometry.In this paper,we first reveal a close connection between the Lp-mixed volumes proposed by E.Lutwak and the p-measures of asymmetry,which have the Minkowski measure as a special case,introduced by Q.Guo.Then,a family of measures of asymmetry is defined in terms of the Orlicz mixed volumes introduced by R.J.Gardner,D.Hug and W.Weil recently,which is an extension of the p-measures.  相似文献

We consider the partial regularity for weak solutions to superquadratic elliptic systems with controllable growth condition, under the assumption of Dini continuous coefficients. The proof relies upon an iteration scheme of a decay estimate for a new type of excess functional. To establish the decay estimate, we use the technique of A-harmonic approximation and obtain a general criterion for a weak solution to be regular in the neighborhood of a given point. In particular, the proof yields directly the optimal H¨older exponent for the derivative of the weak solutions on the regular set.  相似文献

Two-Dimensional Regular Shock Reflection for the Pressure Gradient System of Conservation Laws - Yuxi Zheng We establish the existence of a global solution to a regular reflection of a shock hitting a ramp for the pressure gradient system of equations. The set-up of the reflection is the same as that of Mach's experiment for the compressible Euler system, i.e., a straight shock hitting a ramp. The main purpose of this paper is two-fold:(i) to generalize an existence result for a compressible gas-liquid model with a friction term recently published by Friis and Evje [SIAM J. Appl. Math., 71(2011), pp. 2014–2047];(ii) to derive a uniqueness result for the same model. A main ingredient in the existence part is the observation that we can consider weaker assumptions on the initial liquid and gas mass, and still obtain an existence result. Compared to the above mentioned work, we rely on a more refined application of the estimates provided by the basic energy estimate. Concerning the uniqueness result, we borrow ideas from Fang and Zhang [Nonlinear Anal. TMA, 58(2004), pp. 719–731] and derive a stability result under appropriate constraints on parameters that determine rate of decay toward zero at the boundary for gas and liquid masses, and growth rate of masses associated with the friction term and viscous coefficient.  相似文献

By using the critical point theory, some sufficient conditions for the existence of the solutions to the boundary value problems of a discrete generalized Emden-Fowler equation are obtained. In a special case, a sharp condition is obtained for the existence of the boundary value problems of the above equation. For a linear case, by the discrete variational theory, a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence, uniqueness and multiplicity of the solutions is also established.  相似文献

We consider the questions of boundary regularity for weak solutions of second-order nonlinear elliptic systems under the natural growth condition. We obtain a general criterion for a weak solution to be regular in the neighborhood of a given boundary point. The proof yields directly the optimal regularity for the solution in this neighborhood. Let S be a periodic set in R and L2(S) be a subspace of L2 (R). This paper investigates the density problem for multiwindow Gabor systems in L2(S) for the case that the product of time-frequency shift parameters is a rational number. We derive the density conditions for a multiwindow Gabor system to be complete (a frame) in L2(S). Under such conditions, we construct a multiwindow tight Gabor frame for L2(S) with window functions being characteristic functions. We also provide a characterization of a multiwindow Gabor frame to be a Riesz basis for L2(S), and obtain the density condition for a multiwindow Gabor Riesz basis for L2(S).  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to prove by using a new hybrid method a strong convergence theorem for finding a common element of the set of solutions for a generalized equilibrium problem, the set of solutions for a variational inequality problem and the set of common fixed points for a pair of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. As applications, we utilize our results to obtain some new results for finding a solution of an equilibrium problem, a fixed point problem and a common zero-point problem for maximal monotone mappings in Banach spaces.  相似文献

We give asymptotics for the cumulative distribution function (CDF) for degrees of large dense random graphs sampled from a graphon. The proof is based on precise asymptotics for binomial random variables. This result is a first step for giving a nonparametric test for identifying the degree function of a large random graph. Replacing the indicator function in the empirical CDF by a smoother function, we get general asymptotic results for functionals of homomorphism densities for partially labeled graphs. This general setting allows to recover recent results on asymptotics for homomorphism densities of sampled graphon.  相似文献

We are generally concerned with the possible lists of multiplicities for the eigenvalues of a real symmetric matrix with a given graph. Many restrictions are known, but it is often problematic to construct a matrix with desired multiplicities, even if a matrix with such multiplicities exists. Here, we develop a technique for construction using the implicit function theorem in a certain way. We show that the technique works for a large variety of trees, give examples and determine all possible multiplicities for a large class of trees for which this was not previously known.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the two-dimensional assortment problem. This is the problem of choosing from a set of stock rectangles a subset which can be used for cutting into a number of smaller rectangular pieces. Constraints are imposed upon the number of such pieces which result from the cutting.A heuristic algorithm for the guillotine cutting version of the problem is developed based on a greedy procedure for generating two-dimensional cutting patterns, a linear program for choosing the cutting patterns to use and an interchange procedure to decide the best subset of stock rectangles to cut.Computational results are presented for a number of test problems which indicate that the algorithm developed produces good quality results both for assortment problems and for two-dimensional cutting problems.  相似文献

Authentication codes are used to protect communication against a malicious adversary. In this paper we investigate unconditionally secure multiround authentication schemes. In a multiround scheme a message is authenticated by passing back and forth several codewords between the sender and receiver. We define a multiround authentication model and show how to calculate the probability of a successful attack for this model. We prove the security for a 3-round scheme and give a construction for the 3-round scheme based on Reed-Solomom codes. This construction has a very small key size for even extremely large messages. Furthermore, a secure scheme for an arbitrary number of rounds is given. We give a new upper bound for the keys size of an n-round scheme.  相似文献

The classical Fermat-Weber problem is to minimize the sum of the distances from a point in a plane tok given points in the plane. This problem was generalized by Witzgall ton-dimensional space and to allow for a general norm, not necessarily symmetric; he found a dual for this problem. The authors generalize this result further by proving a duality theorem which includes as special cases a great variety of choices of norms in the terms of the Fermat-Weber sum. The theorem is proved by applying a general duality theorem of Rockafellar. As applications, a dual is found for the multi-facility location problem and a nonlinear dual is obtained for a linear programming problem with a priori bounds for the variables. When the norms concerned are continuously differentiable, formulas are obtained for retrieving the solution for each primal problem from the solution of its dual.  相似文献

A model is developed for the flow of a slightly compressible fluid through a saturated inelastic porous medium. The initial‐boundary‐value problem is a system that consists of the diffusion equation for the fluid coupled to the momentum equation for the porous solid together with a constitutive law which includes a possibly hysteretic relation of elasto‐visco‐plastic type. The variational form of this problem in Hilbert space is a non‐linear evolution equation for which the existence and uniqueness of a global strong solution is proved by means of monotonicity methods. Various degenerate situations are permitted, such as incompressible fluid, negligible porosity, or a quasi‐static momentum equation. The essential sufficient conditions for the well‐posedness of the system consist of an ellipticity condition on the term for diffusion of fluid and either a viscous or a hardening assumption in the constitutive relation for the porous solid. This article concerns optimal control and stabilization for some Fisher-like models with control acting in a subdomain ω. We investigate the optimal position of ω for some optimal harvesting problems. First, we refer to a logistic model with diffusion. We remember the necessary optimality conditions, and then obtain an iterative method to improve the position of ω for the optimal harvesting effort (for a simplified model without logistic term). Next, we consider the null stabilization for a controlled Fisher model and obtain a descent method to improve the position of ω in order to get a faster stabilization to zero. Numerical tests illustrating the effect of the last method are given. We also studied the null stabilization for a prey-predator system and have reduced it to the study of the null stabilizability for a related Fisher model.  相似文献

一个实矩阵的符号稳定性问题在经济学、生态学等诸多领域中都有应用背景.本文利用[1]中给出的不可约矩阵的符号稳定性的有关结论,将一个实矩阵的符号稳定性判定问题转化为一个等价的图论问题,即判定无向树中一个点子集的稳定性问题.本文引入了树的稳定子集的概念并给出了稳定子集的递归判别方法.本文还提出井研究了树的稳定指标,即树中所有稳定子集的最小基数,证明了关于稳定指标的一个min—max型定理,井给出了n阶树的稳定指标的最好上界及达到上界的极树的完全刻划。  相似文献
