The wave equation with variable coefficients with a nonlinear dissipative boundary feedback is studied. By the Riemannian geometry method and the multiplier technique, it is shown that the closed loop system decays exponentially or asymptotically, and hence the relation between the decay rate of the system energy and the nonlinearity behavior of the feedback function is established.  相似文献

The initial boundary value problem for a Kirchhoff equation with Lipschitz type continuous coefficient is studied on bounded domain. Under some conditions, the energy decaying and blow-up of solution are discussed. By refining method, the exponent decay estimates of the energy function and the estimates of the life span of blow-up solutions are given.  相似文献

In this paper we consider nonlinear delay diffusion-reaction equations with initial and Dirichlet boundary conditions. The behaviour and the stability of the solution of such initial boundary value problems (IBVPs) are studied using the energy method. Simple numerical methods are considered for the computation of numerical approximations to the solution of the nonlinear IBVPs. Using the discrete energy method we study the stability and convergence of the numerical approximations. Numerical experiments are carried out to illustrate our theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a system of coupled quasilinear viscoelastic equations with nonlinear damping. We use the perturbed energy method to show the general decay rate estimates of energy of solutions, which extends some existing results concerning a general decay for a single equation to the case of system, and a nonlinear system of viscoelastic wave equations to a quasilinear system.  相似文献

The mortar element method is a new domain decomposition method(DDM) with nonoverlapping subdomains. It can handle the situation where the mesh on different subdomains need not align across interfaces, and the matching of discretizations on adjacent subdomains is only enforced weakly. But until now there has been very little work for nonlinear PDEs. In this paper, we will present a mortar-type Morley element method for a nonlinear biharmonic equation which is related to the well-known Navier-Stokes equation. Optimal energy and H^1-norm estimates are obtained under a reasonable elliptic regularity assumption.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the nonlinear instability of incompressible Euler equations. If a steady density is non-monotonic, then the smooth steady state is a nonlinear instability. First, we use variational method to find a dominant eigenvalue which is important in the construction of approximate solutions, then by energy technique and analytic method, we obtain the dynamical instability result.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the Elastic membrane equation with memory term and nonlinear boundary damping.Under some appropriate assumptions on the relaxation function h and with certain initial data,the global existence of solutions and a general decay for the energy are established using the multiplier technique.Also,we show that a nonlinear source of polynomial type is able to force solutions to blow up in finite time even in presence of a nonlinear damping.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish the existence of traveling wave solutions to the nonlinear three-dimensional viscoelastic system exhibiting long range memory. Under certain hypotheses, if the speed of propagation is between the speeds determined by the equilibrium and instantaneous elastic tensors, then the system has nontrivial trav- eling wave solutions. This paper studies a nonlinear diffusion system with coupled nonlinear boundary flux and two kinds of inner sources (positive for the first and negative for the second), where the four nonlinear mechanisms are described by eight nonlinear parameters. In this paper we prove the regularity, exponential stability of global solutions and existence of uniform compact attractors of semiprocesses, generated by the global solutions, of a two-parameter family of operators for a nonlinear onedimensional non-autonomous equation of viscoelasticity. In this paper, we have used the homotopy perturbation and the Adomian decomposition methods to study the nonlinear coupled Kortewge-de Vries and shallow water equations. The main objective of this paper is to propose alternative methods of solutions, which do not require small parameters and avoid linearization and physical unrealistic assumptions. The proposed methods give more general exact solutions without much extra effort and the results reveal that the homotopy perturbation and the Adomian decomposition methods are very effective, convenient and quite accurate to the systems of coupled nonlinear equations.  相似文献

New developed inverse differential operators incorporated into the semi- analytical treatment of the modified decomposition method (MDM) are used to solve the systems of first and second-order singular nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) with initial conditions arising in physics. The new proposed method is called the improved modified decomposition method (IMDM), and is used to the treatment of a few case study initial-value problems. We use the Fokas method to analyze the derivative nonlinear Schrodinger (DNLS) equation iqt (x, t) = -qxx (x, t)+(rq^2)x on the interval [0, L]. Assuming that the solution q(x, t) exists, we show that it can be represented in terms of the solution of a matrix Riemann- Hilbert problem formulated in the plane of the complex spectral parameter ξ. This problem has explicit (x, t) dependence, and it has jumps across {ξ∈C|Imξ^4 = 0}. The relevant jump matrices are explicitely given in terms of the spectral functions {a(ξ), b(ξ)}, {A(ξ), B(ξ)}, and {A(ξ), B(ξ)}, which in turn are defined in terms of the initial data q0(x) = q(x, 0), the bound- ary data g0(t)= q(0, t), g1(t) = qx(0, t), and another boundary values f0(t) = q(L, t), f1(t) = qx(L, t). The spectral functions are not independent, but related by a compatibility condition, the so-called global relation.  相似文献

This work deals with the numerical localization of small electromagnetic inhomogeneities. The underlying inverse problem considers, in a three-dimensional bounded domain, the time-harmonic Maxwell equations formulated in electric field. Typically, the domain contains a finite number of unknown inhomogeneities of small volume and the inverse problem attempts to localize these inhomogeneities from a finite number of boundary measurements. Our localization approach is based on a recent framework that uses an asymptotic expansion for the perturbations in the tangential boundary trace of the curl of the electric field. We present three numerical localization procedures resulting from the combination of this asymptotic expansion with each of the following inversion algorithms: the Current Projection method, the MUltiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm, and an Inverse Fourier method. We perform a numerical study of the asymptotic expansion and compare the numerical results obtained from the three localization procedures in different settings.  相似文献

In a linear multi-secret sharing scheme with non-threshold structures, several secret values are shared among n participants, and every secret value has a specified access structure. The efficiency of a multi- secret sharing scheme is measured by means of the complexity a and the randomness . Informally, the com- plexity a is the ratio between the maximum of information received by each participant and the minimum of information corresponding to every key. The randomness is the ratio between the amount of information distributed to the set of users U = {1, …, n} and the minimum of information corresponding to every key. In this paper, we discuss a and of any linear multi-secret sharing schemes realized by linear codes with non-threshold structures, and provide two algorithms to make a and to be the minimum, respectively.
