In this paper, we recall the Oseen coupling method for solving the exterior unsteady Navier–Stokes equations with the non‐homogeneous boundary conditions. Moreover, we derive the coupling variational formulation of the Oseen coupling problem by using of the integral representations of the solution of the Oseen equations at an infinity domain. Finally, we provide some properties of the integral operators over the artificial boundary and the well‐posedness of the coupling variational formulation. We represent a new numerical method to solve the stationary Navier–Stokes equations in an unbounded domain. This technique consists in coupling the boundary integral and finite element methods. In this paper, we represent a new numerical method for solving the steady-state Stokes equations in an unbounded plane domain. The technique consists in coupling the boundary integral and the finite element methods. An artificial smooth boundary is introduced separating an interior inhomogeneous region from an exterior one. The solution in the exterior domain is represented by an integral equation over the artificial boundary. This integral equation is incorporated into a velocitypressure formulation for the interior region, and a finite element method is used to approximate the resulting variational problem. This is studied by means of an abstract framework, well adapted to the model problem, in which convergence results and optimal error estimates are derived. In this work, we derive a stream function-vorticity variational formulation coupled with boundary integrals for the exterior Stokes problem in two dimensions, when the right-hand side has a bounded support. The stream function-vorticity formulation is expressed in a bounded region containing the support of the right-hand side, and the boundary conditions on the artificial boundary are obtained by an integral representation. Unlike many of their deterministic counterparts, stochastic partial differential equations are not amenable to the methods of calculus of variations à la Euler–Lagrange. In this paper, we show how self-dual variational calculus leads to variational solutions of various stochastic partial differential equations driven by monotone vector fields. We construct solutions as minima of suitable non-negative and self-dual energy functionals on Itô spaces of stochastic processes. We show how a stochastic version of Bolza's duality leads to solutions for equations with additive noise. We then use a Hamiltonian formulation to construct solutions for non-linear equations with non-additive noise such as the stochastic Navier–Stokes equations in dimension two.  相似文献

Summary. This paper analyzes the rate of convergence of the h-p version of the coupling of the finite element and boundary element method for transmission problems with a linear differential operator with variable coefficients in a bounded polyhedral domain and with constant coefficients in the exterior domain . This procedure uses the variational formulation of the differential equation in and involves integral operators on the interface between and . The finite elements are used to obtain approximate solutions of the differential equation in and the boundary elements are used to obtain approximate solutions of the integral equations. For given piecewise analytic data we show that the Galerkin solution of this coupling procedure converges exponentially fast in the energy norm if the h-p version is used both for finite elements and boundary elements.
