The notion of a Weyl module, previously defined for the untwisted affine algebras, is extended here to the twisted affine algebras. We describe an identification of the Weyl modules for the twisted affine algebras with suitably chosen Weyl modules for the untwisted affine algebras. This identification allows us to use known results in the untwisted case to compute the dimensions and characters of the Weyl modules for the twisted algebras.  相似文献

We introduce a new quantum group which is a quantization of the enveloping superalgebra of a twisted affine Lie superalgebra of type Q. We study generators and relations for superalgebras in the finite and twisted affine cases, and also universal central extensions. Afterwards, we apply the FRT formalism to a certain solution of the quantum Yang–Baxter equation to define that new quantum group and we study some of its properties. We construct a functor of Schur–Weyl type which connects it to affine Hecke–Clifford algebras and prove that it provides an equivalence between two categories of modules.  相似文献

We extend classical results of Kostant et al. on multiplets of representations of finite-dimensional Lie algebras and on the cubic Dirac operator to the setting of affine Lie algebras and twisted affine cubic Dirac operator. We prove in this setting an analogue of Vogan's conjecture on infinitesimal characters of Harish-Chandra modules in terms of Dirac cohomology. For our calculations we use the machinery of Lie conformal and vertex algebras.  相似文献

We study twisted modules for (weak) quantum vertex algebras and we give a conceptual construction of (weak) quantum vertex algebras and their twisted modules. As an application we construct and classify irreducible twisted modules for a certain family of quantum vertex algebras.  相似文献

In this paper we develop a relative Gröbner basis method for a wide class of filtered modules. Our general setting covers the cases of modules over rings of differential, difference, inversive difference and difference–differential operators, Weyl algebras and multiparameter twisted Weyl algebras (the last class of rings includes the classes of quantized Weyl algebras and twisted generalized Weyl algebras). In particular, we obtain a Buchberger-type algorithm for constructing relative Gröbner bases of filtered free modules.  相似文献

Nonlocal vertex algebras generated by formal vertex operators   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
This is the first paper in a series to study vertex algebra-like objects arising from infinite-dimensional quantum groups (quantum affine algebras and Yangians). In this paper we lay the foundations for this study. For any vector space W, we study what we call quasi compatible subsets of Hom (W,W((x))) and we prove that any maximal quasi compatible subspace has a natural nonlocal (namely noncommutative) vertex algebra structure with W as a natural faithful quasi module in a certain sense, and that any quasi compatible subset generates a nonlocal vertex algebra with W as a quasi module. In particular, taking W to be a highest weight module for a quantum affine algebra we obtain a nonlocal vertex algebra with W as a quasi module. We also formulate and study a notion of quantum vertex algebra and we give general constructions of nonlocal vertex algebras, quantum vertex algebras and their modules.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of perfect bases for integrable highest weight modules over generalized Kac-Moody algebras and show that the colored oriented graphs arising from perfect bases are isomorphic to the highest weight crystals B(λ) over quantum generalized Kac-Moody algebras.  相似文献

In this paper, we give a new realization of crystal bases for finite-dimensional irreducible modules over classical Lie algebras. The basis vectors are parameterized by certain Young walls lying between highest weight and lowest weight vectors.

We extend the geometric approach to vertex algebras developed by the first author to twisted modules, allowing us to treat orbifold models in conformal field theory. Let V be a vertex algebra, H a finite group of automorphisms of V, and C an algebraic curve such that H⊂Aut(C). We show that a suitable collection of twisted V-modules gives rise to a section of a certain sheaf on the quotient X=C/H. We introduce the notion of conformal blocks for twisted modules, and analyze them in the case of the Heisenberg and affine Kac-Moody vertex algebras. We also give a chiral algebra interpretation of twisted modules.  相似文献

Analogs of the classical Sylvester theorem have been known for matrices with entries in noncommutative algebras including the quantized algebra of functions on GL N and the Yangian for $$ \mathfrak{g}\mathfrak{l}_{{N}} $$ . We prove a version of this theorem for the twisted Yangians $$ {\text{Y(}}\mathfrak{g}_{N} {\text{)}} $$associated with the orthogonal and symplectic Lie algebras $$ \mathfrak{g}_{N} = \mathfrak{o}_{N} {\text{ or }}\mathfrak{s}\mathfrak{p}_{N} $$. This gives rise to representations of the twisted Yangian $$ {\text{Y}}{\left( {\mathfrak{g}_{{N - M}} } \right)} $$ on the space of homomorphisms $$ {\text{Hom}}_{{\mathfrak{g}_{M} }} {\left( {W,V} \right)} $$, where W and V are finite-dimensional irreducible modules over $$ \mathfrak{g}_{{M}} {\text{ and }}\mathfrak{g}_{{N}} $$, respectively. In the symplectic case these representations turn out to be irreducible and we identify them by calculating the corresponding Drinfeld polynomials. We also apply the quantum Sylvester theorem to realize the twisted Yangian as a projective limit of certain centralizers in universal enveloping algebras.  相似文献

We construct irreducible modules of centrally-extended classical Lie algebras over left ideals of the algebra of differential operators on the circle, through certain irreducible modules of centrally-extended classical Lie algebras of infinite matrices with finite number of nonzero entries. The structures of vertex algebras associated with the vacuum representations of these algebras are determined. Moreover, we prove that under certain conditions, the highest-weight irreducible modules of centrally-extended classical Lie algebras of infinite matrices with finite number of nonzero entries naturally give rise to the irreducible modules of the simple quotients of these vertex algebras. From vertex algebra and its representation point of view, our results with positive integral central charge are high-order differential operator analogues of the well-known WZW models in conformal field theory associated with affine Kac-Moody algebras. Indeed, when the left ideals are the algebra of differential operators, our Lie algebras do contain affine Kac-Moody algebras as subalgebras and our results restricted on them are exactly the representation contents in WZW models. Similar results with negative central charge are also obtained.  相似文献

In this paper the identities of the complex affine Kac-Moody algebras are studied. It is proved that the identities of twisted affine algebras coincide with those of the corresponding nontwisted algebras. Moreover, in the class of nontwisted affine Kac-Moody algebras, each of these algebras is uniquely defined by its identities. It is shown that the varieties of affine algebras, as well as the varieties defined by finitely generated three-step solvable Lie algebras, have exponential growth. Global and local Weyl modules were introduced via generators and relations in the context of affine Lie algebras in [CP2] and were motivated by representations of quantum affine algebras. In [FL] a more general case was considered by replacing the polynomial ring with the coordinate ring of an algebraic variety and partial results analogous to those in [CP2] were obtained. In this paper we show that there is a natural definition of the local and global Weyl modules via homological properties. This characterization allows us to define the Weyl functor from the category of left modules of a commutative algebra to the category of modules for a simple Lie algebra. As an application we are able to understand the relationships of these functors to tensor products, generalizing results in [CP2] and [FL]. We also analyze the fundamental Weyl modules and show that, unlike the case of the affine Lie algebras, the Weyl functors need not be left exact.  相似文献

We establish a connection between (degenerate) nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials and standard bases and dual standard bases of maximal parabolic modules of affine Hecke algebras. Along the way we prove a (weak) polynomiality result for coefficients of symmetric and nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials.  相似文献
