In this work, inverse scattering transform for the sixth-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation with both zero and nonzero boundary conditions at infinity is given, respectively. For the case of zero boundary conditions, in terms of the Laurent's series and generalization of the residue theorem, the bound-state soliton is derived. For nonzero boundary conditions, using the robust inverse scattering transform, we present a matrix Riemann–Hilbert problem of the sixth-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Then, based on the obtained Riemann–Hilbert problem, the rogue wave solutions are derived through a modified Darboux transformation. Besides, according to some appropriate parameters choices, several graphical analysis are provided to discuss the dynamical behaviors of the rogue wave solutions and analyze how the higher-order terms affect the rogue wave.  相似文献

In the present paper, exact solutions of fractional nonlinear Schrödinger equations have been derived by using two methods: Lie group analysis and invariant subspace method via Riemann‐Liouvill derivative. In the sense of Lie point symmetry analysis method, all of the symmetries of the Schrödinger equations are obtained, and these operators are applied to find corresponding solutions. In one case, we show that Schrödinger equation can be reduced to an equation that is related to the Erdelyi‐Kober functional derivative. The invariant subspace method for constructing exact solutions is presented for considered equations.  相似文献

Our purpose is to develop the inverse scattering transform for the nonlocal semidiscrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation (called the Ablowitz–Ladik equation) with \(\mathcal{PT}\) symmetry. This includes the eigenfunctions (Jost solutions) of the associated Lax pair, the scattering data, and the fundamental analytic solutions. In addition, we study the spectral properties of the associated discrete Lax operator. Based on the formulated (additive) Riemann–Hilbert problem, we derive the one- and two-soliton solutions for the nonlocal Ablowitz–Ladik equation. Finally, we prove the completeness relation for the associated Jost solutions. Based on this, we derive the expansion formula over the complete set of Jost solutions. This allows interpreting the inverse scattering transform as a generalized Fourier transform.  相似文献

We develop inverse scattering for the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation (DNLS) on the line using its gauge equivalence with a related nonlinear dispersive equation. We prove Lipschitz continuity of the direct and inverse scattering maps from the weighted Sobolev spaces H2,2(?) to itself. These results immediately imply global existence of solutions to the DNLS for initial data in a spectrally determined (open) subset of H2,2(?) containing a neighborhood of 0. Our work draws ideas from the pioneering work of Lee and from more recent work of Deift and Zhou on the nonlinear Schrödinger equation.  相似文献

The Inverse Scattering Transform (IST) for the defocusing vector nonlinear Schrödinger equations (NLS), with an arbitrary number of components and nonvanishing boundary conditions at space infinities, is formulated by adapting and generalizing the approach used by Beals, Deift, and Tomei in the development of the IST for the N ‐wave interaction equations. Specifically, a complete set of sectionally meromorphic eigenfunctions is obtained from a family of analytic forms that are constructed for this purpose. As in the scalar and two‐component defocusing NLS, the direct and inverse problems are formulated on a two‐sheeted, genus‐zero Riemann surface, which is then transformed into the complex plane by means of an appropriate uniformization variable. The inverse problem is formulated as a matrix Riemann‐Hilbert problem with prescribed poles, jumps, and symmetry conditions. In contrast to traditional formulations of the IST, the analytic forms and eigenfunctions are first defined for complex values of the scattering parameter, and extended to the continuous spectrum a posteriori.  相似文献

We characterize the long‐time asymptotic behavior of the focusing nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation on the line with symmetric, nonzero boundary conditions at infinity by using a variant of the recently developed inverse scattering transform (IST) for such problems and by employing the nonlinear steepest‐descent method of Deift and Zhou for oscillatory Riemann‐Hilbert problems. First, we formulate the IST over a single sheet of the complex plane without introducing the uniformization variable that was used by Biondini and Kova?i? in 2014. The solution of the focusing NLS equation with nonzero boundary conditions is thereby associated with a matrix Riemann‐Hilbert problem whose jumps grow exponentially with time for certain portions of the continuous spectrum. This growth is the signature of the well‐known modulational instability within the context of the IST. We then eliminate this growth by performing suitable deformations of the Riemann‐Hilbert problem in the complex spectral plane. The results demonstrate that the solution of the focusing NLS equation with nonzero boundary conditions remains bounded at all times. Moreover, we show that, asymptotically in time, the xt ‐plane decomposes into two types of regions: a left far‐field region and a right far‐field region, where the solution equals the condition at infinity to leading order up to a phase shift, and a central region in which the asymptotic behavior is described by slowly modulated periodic oscillations. Finally, we show how, in the latter region, the modulus of the leading‐order solution, initially obtained as a ratio of Jacobi theta functions, can be reduced to the well‐known elliptic solutions of the focusing NLS equation. These results provide the first characterization of the long‐time behavior of generic perturbations of a constant background in a modulationally unstable medium. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

We reprove global well‐posedness and scattering for the defocusing energy‐critical nonlinear Schrödinger equation in five dimensions. Inspired by the recent work of Killip and Visan, we adapt the Dodson's strategy ‘long‐time Strichartz estimate’ used in the work on mass‐critical nonlinear Schrödinger equation sets. This paper is concerned with the initial value problem for the fourth‐order nonlinear Schrödinger type equation related to the theory of vortex filament. By deriving a fundamental estimate on dyadic blocks for the fourth‐order Schrödinger through the [k,Z]‐multiplier norm method. we establish multilinear estimates for this nonlinear fourth‐order Schrödinger type equation. The local well‐posedness for initial data in with s > 1 ∕ 2 is implied by the multilinear estimates. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the fourth‐order nonlinear Schrödinger equation with parameterized nonlinearity that is generalized from regular cubic‐quintic formulation in optics and ultracold physics scenario. We find the exact solution of the fourth‐order generalized cubic‐quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation through modified F‐expansion method, identifying the particular bright soliton behavior under certain external experimental setting, with the system's particular nonlinear features demonstrated. Based on the theory of integrable boundary conditions (BCs) developed by Sklyanin, we provide a direct method for computing soliton solutions of the focusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation on the half‐line. The integrable BCs at the origin are represented by constraints of the Lax pair, and our method lies on dressing the Lax pair by preserving those constraints in the Darboux‐dressing process. The method is applied to two classes of solutions: solitons vanishing at infinity and self‐modulated solitons on a constant background. Half‐line solitons in both cases are explicitly computed. In particular, the boundary‐bound solitons, which are static solitons bounded at the origin, are also constructed. We give a natural inverse scattering transform interpretation of the method as evolution of the scattering data determined by the integrable BCs in space.  相似文献

The Riemann–Hilbert problem for the coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equation is formulated on the basis of the corresponding \(3\times 3\) matrix spectral problem. Using the nonlinear steepest descent method, we obtain leading-order asymptotics for the Cauchy problem of the coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equation.  相似文献

In this work, we discuss the coupled modified nonlinear Schrödinger (CMNLS) equation, which describe the pulse propagation in the picosecond or femtosecond regime of the birefringent optical fibers. By use of the Fokas approach, the initial‐boundary value problem for the CMNLS equation related to a 3×3 matrix Lax pair on the half‐line is to be analyzed. Assuming that the solution {u(x,t),v(x,t)} of CMNLS equation exists, we will prove that it can be expressed in terms of the unique solution of a 3×3 matrix Riemann‐Hilbert problem formulated in the plane of the complex spectral parameter λ. Moreover, we also get that some spectral functions s(λ) and S(λ) are not independent of each other but meet a global relationship.  相似文献

The large-time behavior of solutions to the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation is established for initial conditions in some weighted Sobolev spaces under the assumption that the initial conditions do not support solitons. Our approach uses the inverse scattering setting and the nonlinear steepest descent method of Deift and Zhou as recast by Dieng and McLaughlin.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation with parabolic law and dual‐power law. Abundant explicit and exact solutions of the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation with parabolic law and dual‐power law are derived uniformly by using the first integral method. These exact solutions are include that of extended hyperbolic function solutions, periodic wave solutions of triangle functions type, exponential form solution, and complex hyperbolic trigonometric function solutions and so on. The results obtained confirm that the first integral method is an efficient technique for analytic treatment of a wide variety of nonlinear systems of partial DEs. In this paper, we report a rigorous theory of the inverse scattering transforms (ISTs) for the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger (DNLS) equation with both zero boundary conditions (ZBCs) and nonzero boundary conditions (NZBCs) at infinity and double zeros of analytical scattering coefficients. The scattering theories for both ZBCs and NZBCs are addressed. The direct scattering problem establishes the analyticity, symmetries, and asymptotic behaviors of the Jost solutions and scattering matrix, and properties of discrete spectra. The inverse scattering problems are formulated and solved with the aid of the matrix Riemann–Hilbert problems, and the reconstruction formulae, trace formulae and theta conditions are also posed. In particular, the IST with NZBCs at infinity is proposed by a suitable uniformization variable, which allows the scattering problem to be solved on a standard complex plane instead of a two-sheeted Riemann surface. The reflectionless potentials with double poles for the ZBCs and NZBCs are both carried out explicitly by means of determinants. Some representative semi-rational bright–bright soliton, dark–bright soliton, and breather–breather solutions are examined in detail. These results and idea can also be extended to other types of DNLS equations such as the Chen–Lee–Liu-type DNLS equation, Gerdjikov–Ivanov-type DNLS equation, and Kundu-type DNLS equation and will be useful to further explore and apply the related nonlinear wave phenomena.

This paper aims to formulate the fractional quasi‐inverse scattering method. Also, we give a positive answer to the following question: can the Ablowitz‐Kaup‐Newell‐Segur (AKNS) method be applied to the space–time fractional nonlinear differential equations? Besides, we derive the Bäcklund transformations for the fractional systems under study. Also, we construct the fractional quasi‐conservation laws for the considered fractional equations from the defined fractional quasi AKNS‐like system. The nonlinear fractional differential equations to be studied are the space–time fractional versions of the Kortweg‐de Vries equation, modified Kortweg‐de Vries equation, the sine‐Gordon equation, the sinh‐Gordon equation, the Liouville equation, the cosh‐Gordon equation, the short pulse equation, and the nonlinear Schrödinger equation.  相似文献

By means of certain limit technique, two kinds of generalized Darboux transformations are constructed for the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equations (DNLS). These transformations are shown to lead to two solution formulas for DNLS in terms of determinants. As applications, several different types of high‐order solutions are calculated for this equation.  相似文献

In this paper, the Darboux transformation of the Kundu–nonlinear Schrödinger equation is derived and generalized to the matrix of n‐fold Darboux transformation. From known solution Q, the determinant representation of n‐th new solutions of Q[n] are obtained by the n‐fold Darboux transformation. Then soliton solutions and positon solutions are generated from trivial seed solutions, breather solutions and rogue wave solutions that are obtained from periodic seed solutions. After that, the higher order rogue wave solutions of the Kundu–nonlinear Schrödinger equation are given. We show that free parameters in eigenfunctions can adjust the patterns of the higher order rogue waves. Meanwhile, the third‐order rogue waves are given explicitly.
