The numerical approximation by a lower order anisotropic nonconforming finite element on appropriately graded meshes are considered for solving singular perturbation problems. The quasi-optimal order error estimates are proved in the ε-weighted H1-norm valid uniformly, up to a logarithmic factor, in the singular perturbation parameter. By using the interpolation postprocessing technique, the global superconvergent error estimates in ε-weighted H1-norm are obtained. Numerical experiments are given to demonstrate validity of our theoretical analysis.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to study the Crouzeix-Raviart (C-R) type nonconforming linear triangular finite element method (FEM) for the nonstationary Navier-Stokes equations on anisotropic meshes. In this article, a nonconforming quadrilateral element(named modified quasiWilson element) is applied to solve the nonlinear schr¨odinger equation(NLSE). On the basis of a special character of this element, that is, its consistency error is of order O(h~3) for broken H1-norm on arbitrary quadrilateral meshes, which is two order higher than its interpolation error, the optimal order error estimate and superclose property are obtained. Moreover,the global superconvergence result is deduced with the help of interpolation postprocessing technique. Finally, some numerical results are provided to verify the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

A new nonconforming triangular element for the equations of planar linear elasticity with pure traction boundary conditions is considered. By virtue of construction of the element, the discrete version of Korn’s second inequality is directly proved to be valid. Convergence rate of the finite element methods is uniformly optimal with respect to λ. Error estimates in the energy norm and L2-norm are O(h2) and O(h3), respectively.  相似文献

This paper focuses on the low-order nonconforming rectangular and quadrilateral finite elements approximation of incompressible flow.Beyond the previous research works,we propose a general strategy to construct the basis functions.Under several specific constraints,the optimal error estimates are obtained,i.e.,the first order accuracy of the velocities in H1-norm and the pressure in L2-norm,as well as the second order accuracy of the velocities in L2-norm.Besides,we clarify the differences between rectangular and quadrilateral finite element approximation.In addition,we give several examples to verify the validity of our error estimates.  相似文献

A low order anisotropic nonconforming rectangular finite element method for the convection-diffusion problem with a modified characteristic finite element scheme is studied in this paper. The O(h2) order error estimate in L2-norm with respect to the space, one order higher than the expanded characteristic-mixed finite element scheme with order O(h), and the same as the conforming case for a modified characteristic finite element scheme under regular meshes, is obtained by use of some distinct properties of the interpolation operator and the mean value technique, instead of the so-called elliptic projection, which is an indispensable tool in the convergence analysis of the previous literature. Lastly, some numerical results of the element are provided to verify our theoretical analysis.  相似文献

This paper presents a robust a posteriori residual error estimator for diffusion-convection-reaction problems with anisotropic diffusion, approximated by a SUPG finite element method on isotropic or anisotropic meshes in Rd, d=2 or 3. The equivalence between the energy norm of the error and the residual error estimator is proved. Numerical tests confirm the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this article, a new stable nonconforming mixed finite element scheme is proposed for the stationary Navier-Stokes equations, in which a new low order CrouzeixRaviart type nonconforming rectangular element is taken for approximating space for the velocity and the piecewise constant element for the pressure. The optimal order error estimates for the approximation of both the velocity and the pressure in L2-norm are established, as well as one in broken H1-norm for the velocity. Numerical experiments are given which are consistent with our theoretical analysis.  相似文献

This paper deals with a new nonconforming anisotropic rectangular finite element approximation for the planar elasticity problem with pure displacement boundary condition. By use of the special properties of this element, and by introducing the complementary space and a series of novel techniques, the optimal error estimates of the energy norm and the L^2-norm are obtained. The restrictions of regularity assumption and quasi-uniform assumption or the inverse assumption on the meshes required in the conventional finite element methods analysis are to be got rid of and the applicable scope of the nonconforming finite elements is extended.  相似文献
