The concept of left character Connes-amenability for a dual Banach algebra \({\mathcal {A}}\) is introduced. We obtain a cohomological characterization of left character Connes-amenability as well as the relation between left \(\varphi \)-Connes-amenability and existence of left \(\varphi \)-normal virtual diagonals for a \(\omega ^{*}\)-continuous character \(\varphi \). We prove that left character amenability of \({\mathcal {A}}\) is equivalent to left character Connes-amenability of \({\mathcal {A}}^{**}\) when \({\mathcal {A}}\) is Arens regular. Moreover for a locally compact group G, we show that M(G) is left character Connes-amenable. In addition by means of some examples we show that for the new notion, the corresponding class of dual Banach algebras is larger than Connes-amenable dual Banach algebras.  相似文献

A sufficient criterion for the map \({C_{A, B}(S) = ASB}\) to be supercyclic on certain algebras of operators on Banach spaces is given. If T is an operator satisfying the Supercyclicity Criterion on a Hilbert space H, then the linear map \({C_{T}(V) = TVT^*}\) is shown to be norm-supercyclic on the algebra \({\mathcal{K}(H)}\) of all compact operators, COT-supercyclic on the real subspace \({\mathcal{S}(H)}\) of all self-adjoint operators and weak*-supercyclic on \({\mathcal{L}(H)}\) of all bounded operators on H. Examples including operators of the form \({C_{B_w, F_\mu}}\) are provided, where Bw and \({F_\mu}\) are respectively backward and forward shifts on Banach sequence spaces.  相似文献

We discuss the proof of Kazhdan and Lusztig of the equivalence of the Drinfeld category \({\mathcal D}({\mathfrak g},\hbar)\) of \({\mathfrak g}\)-modules and the category of finite dimensional \(U_q{\mathfrak g}\)-modules, \(q=e^{\pi i\hbar}\), for \(\hbar\in{\mathbb C}\setminus{\mathbb Q}^*\). Aiming at operator algebraists the result is formulated as the existence for each \(\hbar\in i{\mathbb R}\) of a normalized unitary 2-cochain \({\mathcal F}\) on the dual \(\hat G\) of a compact simple Lie group G such that the convolution algebra of G with the coproduct twisted by \({\mathcal F}\) is *-isomorphic to the convolution algebra of the q-deformation G q of G, while the coboundary of \({\mathcal F}^{-1}\) coincides with Drinfeld’s KZ-associator defined via monodromy of the Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov equations.  相似文献

This paper presents theoretical aspects of a unified generalization for the abstract theory of coherent state/voice transforms over homogeneous spaces of compact groups using operator theory. Let G be a compact group and H be a closed subgroup of G. Let G/H be the left coset space of H in G and \(\mu \) be the normalized G-invariant measure on G/H associated to the Weil’s formula with respect to the probability measures of G, H. Let \((\pi ,\mathcal {H}_\pi )\) be a continuous unitary representation of G with non-zero mean over H. In this article, we introduce the generalized notion of coherent state/voice transform associated to \(\pi \) on the Hilbert function \(L^2(G/H,\mu )\). We then study basic analytic properties of these transforms.  相似文献

For any given two graphs G and H, the notation \(F\rightarrow \) (GH) means that for any red–blue coloring of all the edges of F will create either a red subgraph isomorphic to G or a blue subgraph isomorphic to H. A graph F is a Ramsey (GH)-minimal graph if \(F\rightarrow \) (GH) but \(F-e\nrightarrow (G,H)\), for every \(e \in E(F)\). The class of all Ramsey (GH)-minimal graphs is denoted by \(\mathcal {R}(G,H)\). In this paper, we construct some infinite families of trees belonging to \(\mathcal {R}(P_3,P_n)\), for \(n=8\) and 9. In particular, we give an algorithm to obtain an infinite family of trees belonging to \(\mathcal {R}(P_3,P_n)\), for \(n\ge 10\).  相似文献

Following Runde, we define the concept of ideal Connes-amenability for dual Banach algebras. For an Arens regular dual Banach algebra \({\mathcal {A}}\), we prove that the ideal Connes-amenability of \(\mathcal {A^{**}}\), the second dual of \({\mathcal {A}}\) necessities ideal Connes-amenability of \({{\mathcal {A}}}\). As a typical example, we show that von Neumann algebras are always ideally Connes-amenable. For a locally compact group G, the Fourier–Stieltjes algebra of G is ideally Connes-amenable, but not ideally amenable.  相似文献

Let \(n\in \mathbb {N}\), A and B be Banach algebras and let B be a right A-module. We say that a linear mapping \(\varphi :A\longrightarrow B\) is a pseudo n-Jordan homomorphism if there exists an element \(w\in A\) such that \(\varphi (a^nw)=\varphi (a)^n\cdot w\), for every \(a\in A\) and \(n\ge \) 2. In this paper, among other things, we show that under some conditions if a linear mapping \(\varphi \) is a (pseudo) n-Jordan homomorphism, then it is a (pseudo) \((n + 1)\)-Jordan homomorphism. Additionally, we investigate automatic continuity of surjective pseudo n-Jordan homomorphisms under some conditions.  相似文献

This paper describes the module categories for a family of generic Hecke algebras, called Yokonuma-type Hecke algebras. Yokonuma-type Hecke algebras specialize both to the group algebras of the complex reflection groups G(r,1,n) and to the convolution algebras of (B \(^{\prime }\),B \(^{\prime }\))-double cosets in the group algebras of finite general linear groups, for certain subgroups B \(^{\prime }\) consisting of upper triangular matrices. In particular, complete sets of inequivalent, irreducible modules for semisimple specializations of Yokonuma-type Hecke algebras are constructed.  相似文献

We provide conditions for a linear map of the form \(C_{R,T}(S)=RST\) to be q-frequently hypercyclic on algebras of operators on separable Banach spaces. In particular, if R is a bounded operator satisfying the q-frequent hypercyclicity criterion, then the map \(C_{R}(S)=RSR^*\) is shown to be q-frequently hypercyclic on the space \(\mathcal {K}(H)\) of all compact operators and the real topological vector space \(\mathcal {S}(H)\) of all self-adjoint operators on a separable Hilbert space H. Further we provide a condition for \(C_{R,T}\) to be q-frequently hypercyclic on the Schatten von Neumann classes \(S_p(H)\). We also characterize frequent hypercyclicity of \(C_{M^*_\varphi ,M_\psi }\) on the trace-class of the Hardy space, where the symbol \(M_\varphi \) denotes the multiplication operator associated to \(\varphi \).  相似文献

Let A and B be unital Banach algebras and let M be a unital Banach A,B-module. Forrest and Marcoux [6] have studied the weak amenability of triangular Banach algebra \(\mathcal{T} = \left[ {_B^{AM} } \right]\) and showed that T is weakly amenable if and only if the corner algebras A and B are weakly amenable. When \(\mathfrak{A}\) is a Banach algebra and A and B are Banach \(\mathfrak{A}\)-module with compatible actions, and M is a commutative left Banach \(\mathfrak{A}\)-A-module and right Banach \(\mathfrak{A}\)-B-module, we show that A and B are weakly \(\mathfrak{A}\)-module amenable if and only if triangular Banach algebra T is weakly \(\mathfrak{T}\)-module amenable, where \(\mathfrak{T}: = \{ [^\alpha _\alpha ]:\alpha \in \mathfrak{A}\} \).  相似文献

The group of bisections of groupoids plays an important role in the study of Lie groupoids. In this paper another construction is introduced. Indeed, for a topological groupoid G, the set of all continuous self-maps f on G such that (xf(x)) is a composable pair for every \(x\in G\), is denoted by \(S_G\). We show that \(S_G\) by a natural binary operation is a monoid. \(S_G(\alpha )\), the group of units in \(S_G\) precisely consists of those \(f\in S_G\) such that the map \(x\mapsto xf(x)\) is a bijection on G. Similar to the group of bisections, \(S_G(\alpha )\) acts on G from the right and on the space of continuous self-maps on G from the left. It is proved that \(S_G(\alpha )\) with the compact- open topology inherited from C(GG) is a left topological group. For a compact Hausdorff groupoid G it is proved that the group of bisections of \(G^2\) is isomorphic to the group \(S_G(\alpha )\) and the group of transitive bisections of G, \(Bis_T(G)\), is embedded in \(S_G(\alpha )\), where \(G^2\) is the groupoid of all composable pairs.  相似文献

We develop the classification of weakly symmetric pseudo-Riemannian manifolds G / H where G is a semisimple Lie group and H is a reductive subgroup. We derive the classification from the cases where G is compact, and then we discuss the (isotropy) representation of H on the tangent space of G / H and the signature of the invariant pseudo-Riemannian metric. As a consequence we obtain the classification of semisimple weakly symmetric manifolds of Lorentz signature \((n-1,1)\) and trans-Lorentzian signature \((n-2,2)\).  相似文献

In an earlier paper, we introduced the following pre-order on the subgroups of a given Polish group: if G is a Polish group and \(H,L \subseteq G\) are subgroups, we say H is homomorphism reducible to L iff there is a continuous group homomorphism \(\varphi : G \rightarrow G\) such that \(H = \varphi ^{-1} (L)\). We previously showed that there is a \(K_\sigma \) subgroup L of the countable power of any locally compact Polish group G such that every \(K_\sigma \) subgroup of \(G^\omega \) is homomorphism reducible to L. In the present work, we show that this fails in the countable power of the group of increasing homeomorphisms of the unit interval.  相似文献

Gagola and Lewis proved that a finite group G is nilpotent if and only if \(\chi (1)^2\) divides |G :  \(\mathrm{Ker}\) \(\chi |\) for all irreducible characters \(\chi \) of G. In this paper, we prove the following generalization that a finite group G is nilpotent if and only if \(\chi (1)^2\) divides |G :  \(\mathrm{Ker}\) \(\chi |\) for all monolithic characters \(\chi \) of G.  相似文献

Let φ be an automorphism of a group G. In this paper, we study the influence of its centralizer \({C_G(\varphi)}\) on its commutator subgroup \({[G,\varphi]}\) when G is polycyclic or metabelian. For instance, when G is metabelian and φ fixed-point-free of prime order p, we prove that \({[G,\varphi]}\) is nilpotent of class ≤ p. Also, when G is polycyclic and φ of order 2, we show that if \({C_G(\varphi)}\) is finite, then so are \({G/[G,\varphi]}\) and \({[G,\varphi]'}\) .  相似文献

The first main theorem of this paper asserts that any \((\sigma , \tau )\)-derivation d, under certain conditions, either is a \(\sigma \)-derivation or is a scalar multiple of (\(\sigma - \tau \)), i.e. \(d = \lambda (\sigma - \tau )\) for some \(\lambda \in \mathbb {C} \backslash \{0\}\). By using this characterization, we achieve a result concerning the automatic continuity of \((\sigma , \tau \))-derivations on Banach algebras which reads as follows. Let \(\mathcal {A}\) be a unital, commutative, semi-simple Banach algebra, and let \(\sigma , \tau : \mathcal {A} \rightarrow \mathcal {A}\) be two distinct endomorphisms such that \(\varphi \sigma (\mathbf e )\) and \(\varphi \tau (\mathbf e )\) are non-zero complex numbers for all \(\varphi \in \Phi _\mathcal {A}\). If \(d : \mathcal {A} \rightarrow \mathcal {A}\) is a \((\sigma , \tau )\)-derivation such that \(\varphi d\) is a non-zero linear functional for every \(\varphi \in \Phi _\mathcal {A}\), then d is automatically continuous. As another objective of this research, we prove that if \(\mathfrak {M}\) is a commutative von Neumann algebra and \(\sigma :\mathfrak {M} \rightarrow \mathfrak {M}\) is an endomorphism, then every Jordan \(\sigma \)-derivation \(d:\mathfrak {M} \rightarrow \mathfrak {M}\) is identically zero.  相似文献

We consider in a group \((G,\cdot )\) the ternary relation
$$\begin{aligned} \kappa := \{(\alpha , \beta , \gamma ) \in G^3 \ | \ \alpha \cdot \beta ^{-1} \cdot \gamma = \gamma \cdot \beta ^{-1} \cdot \alpha \} \end{aligned}$$
and show that \(\kappa \) is a ternary equivalence relation if and only if the set \( \mathfrak Z \) of centralizers of the group G forms a fibration of G (cf. Theorems 2, 3). Therefore G can be provided with an incidence structure
$$\begin{aligned} \mathfrak G:= \{\gamma \cdot Z \ | \ \gamma \in G , Z \in \mathfrak Z(G) \}. \end{aligned}$$
We study the automorphism group of \((G,\kappa )\), i.e. all permutations \(\varphi \) of the set G such that \( (\alpha , \beta , \gamma ) \in \kappa \) implies \((\varphi (\alpha ),\varphi (\beta ),\varphi (\gamma ))\in \kappa \). We show \(\mathrm{Aut}(G,\kappa )=\mathrm{Aut}(G,\mathfrak G)\), \(\mathrm{Aut} (G,\cdot ) \subseteq \mathrm{Aut}(G,\kappa )\) and if \( \varphi \in \mathrm{Aut}(G,\kappa )\) with \(\varphi (1)=1\) and \(\varphi (\xi ^{-1})= (\varphi (\xi ))^{-1}\) for all \(\xi \in G\) then \(\varphi \) is an automorphism of \((G,\cdot )\). This allows us to prove a representation theorem of \(\mathrm{Aut}(G,\kappa )\) (cf. Theorem 6) and that for \(\alpha \in G \) the maps
$$\begin{aligned} \tilde{\alpha }\ : \ G \rightarrow G;~ \xi \mapsto \alpha \cdot \xi ^{-1} \cdot \alpha \end{aligned}$$
of the corresponding reflection structure \((G, \widetilde{G})\) (with \( \tilde{G} := \{\tilde{\gamma }\ | \ \gamma \in G \}\)) are point reflections. If \((G ,\cdot )\) is uniquely 2-divisible and if for \(\alpha \in G\), \(\alpha ^{1\over 2}\) denotes the unique solution of \(\xi ^2=\alpha \) then with \(\alpha \odot \beta := \alpha ^{1\over 2} \cdot \beta \cdot \alpha ^{1\over 2}\), the pair \((G,\odot )\) is a K-loop (cf. Theorem 5).

The Cartan scheme \(\mathcal{X}\) of a finite group G with a (BN)-pair is defined to be the coherent configuration associated with the action of G on the right cosets of the Cartan subgroup \(B\cap N\) by right multiplication. It is proved that if G is a simple group of Lie type, then asymptotically the coherent configuration \(\mathcal{X}\) is 2-separable, i.e., the array of 2-dimensional intersection numbers determines \(\mathcal{X}\) up to isomorphism. It is also proved that in this case, the base number of \(\mathcal{X}\) equals 2. This enables us to construct a polynomial-time algorithm for recognizing Cartan schemes when the rank of G and the order of the underlying field are sufficiently large. One of the key points in the proof is a new sufficient condition for an arbitrary homogeneous coherent configuration to be 2-separable.  相似文献

Let G be a locally compact group, ω a weight function on G, and 1<p<∞. We introduce the Lebesgue weighted L p -space \({\mathcal{L}}_{\omega}^{1,p}(G)= L^{p}(G,\omega)\cap L^{1}(G)\) as a Banach space and introduce its dual. Furthermore, we consider this space as a Banach algebra with respect to the usual convolution and show that \({\mathcal{L}}_{\omega}^{1,p}(G)\) admits a bounded approximate identity if and only if G is discrete. In addition, we prove that amenability of this algebra implies that G is discrete and amenable. Moreover, we discuss the converse of this result.  相似文献

A subgroup H of a finite group G is quasinormal in G if it permutes with every subgroup of G. A subgroup H of a finite group G is \(\mathfrak {F}_{hq}\)-supplemented in G if G has a quasinormal subgroup N such that HN is a Hall subgroup of G and \((H\cap N)H_{G}/ H_{G} \le Z_{\mathfrak {F}}(G/H_{G})\), where \(H_{G}\) is the core of H in G and \({Z}_{\mathfrak {F}} (G/H_{G})\) is the \(\mathfrak {F}\)-hypercenter of \({G/H}_{G}\). This paper concerns the structure of a finite group G under the assumption that some subgroups of G are \(\mathfrak {F}_{hq}\)-supplemented in G.  相似文献
