In this paper, we present a new semi-analytical method for solving linear and nonlinear Fredholm integral and integro-differential equations of the second kind and the systems including them. The main idea in this method is applying the mean value theorem for integrals. Some examples are presented to show the ability of the model. The results confirm that the method is very effective and simple.  相似文献

In this paper, a new technique for solving a class of quadratic integral and integro-differential equations is introduced. The main advantage of this technique is that it can replace the nonlinear problem by an equivalent linear one or by another simpler nonlinear one. The convergence of the series solution is proved. Convergence analysis is reliable enough to estimate the maximum absolute truncated error of the series solution. Some numerical examples are introduced to verify the efficiency of the new technique.  相似文献

We recover unknown source terms in nonlinear hyperbolic differential equations and in nonlinear parabolic integro-differential equations in one space variable under the assumption of knowing a first integral (in the hyperbolic case) or the value of the solution at a point inside the domain (in the parabolic case). For this class of problems we prove existence results in classes of smooth solutions. Moreover, for linear hyperbolic and parabolic differential equations in one space variable we recover some characteristic parameters. Conferenza tenuta il giorno 29 Novembre 1999  相似文献

In this work, we generalize the numerical method discussed in [Z. Avazzadeh, M. Heydari, G.B. Loghmani, Numerical solution of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind by using integral mean value theorem, Appl. math. modelling, 35 (2011) 2374–2383] for solving linear and nonlinear Fredholm integral and integro-differential equations of the second kind. The presented method can be used for solving integral equations in high dimensions. In this work, we describe the integral mean value method (IMVM) as the technical algorithm for solving high dimensional integral equations. The main idea in this method is applying the integral mean value theorem. However the mean value theorem is valid for multiple integrals, we apply one dimensional integral mean value theorem directly to fulfill required linearly independent equations. We solve some examples to investigate the applicability and simplicity of the method. The numerical results confirm that the method is efficient and simple.  相似文献

In this article, we illustrate how the Adomian polynomials can be utilized with different types of iterative series solution methods for nonlinear equations. Two methods are considered here: the differential transform method that transforms a problem into a recurrence algebraic equation and the homotopy analysis method as a generalization of the methods that use inverse integral operator. The advantage of the proposed techniques is that equations with any analytic nonlinearity can be solved with less computational work due to the properties and available algorithms of the Adomian polynomials. Numerical examples of initial and boundary value problems for differential and integro-differential equations with different types of nonlinearities show good results.  相似文献

We introduce a hybrid Gegenbauer (ultraspherical) integration method (HGIM) for solving boundary value problems (BVPs), integral and integro-differential equations. The proposed approach recasts the original problems into their integral formulations, which are then discretized into linear systems of algebraic equations using Gegenbauer integration matrices (GIMs). The resulting linear systems are well-conditioned and can be easily solved using standard linear system solvers. A study on the error bounds of the proposed method is presented, and the spectral convergence is proven for two-point BVPs (TPBVPs). Comparisons with other competitive methods in the recent literature are included. The proposed method results in an efficient algorithm, and spectral accuracy is verified using eight test examples addressing the aforementioned classes of problems. The proposed method can be applied on a broad range of mathematical problems while producing highly accurate results. The developed numerical scheme provides a viable alternative to other solution methods when high-order approximations are required using only a relatively small number of solution nodes.  相似文献

This paper describes a collocation method for numerically solving Cauchy-type linear singular integro-differential equations. The numerical method is based on the transformation of the integro-differential equation into an integral equation, and then applying a collocation method to solve the latter. The collocation points are chosen as the Chebyshev nodes. Uniform convergence of the resulting method is then discussed. Numerical examples are presented and solved by the numerical techniques.  相似文献

Iterative and non-iterative methods for the solution of nonlinear Volterra integro-differential equations are presented and their local convergence is proved. The iterative methods provide a sequence solution and make use of fixed-point theory, whereas the non-iterative ones result in series solutions and also make use of fixed-point principles. By means of integration by parts and use of certain integral identities, it is shown that the initial conditions that appear in the iterative methods presented here can be eliminated and the resulting iterative technique is identical to the variational iteration method which is derived here without making any use at all of Lagrange multipliers and constrained variations. It is also shown that the formulation presented here can be applied to initial-value problems in ordinary differential, Volterra’s integral and integro-differential, pantograph, and nonlinear and linear algebraic equations. A technique for improving/accelerating the convergence of the iterative methods presented here is also presented and results in a Lipschitz constant that may be varied as the iteration progresses. It is shown that this acceleration technique is related to preconditioning methods for the solution of linear algebraic equations. It is also argued that the non-iterative methods presented in this paper may not competitive with iterative ones because of possible cancellation errors, if implemented numerically. An analytical continuation procedure based on dividing the interval of integration into disjoint subintervals is also presented and its limitations are discussed.  相似文献

The maximally monotone operator method in real weighted Lebesgue spaces is used to study three different classes of nonlinear singular integro-differential equations with an arbitrary positive parameter. Under sufficiently clear constraints on the nonlinearity, we prove existence and uniqueness theorems for the solution covering in particular, the linear case as well. In contrast to the previous papers in which other classes of nonlinear singular integral and integro-differential equations were studied, our study is based on the inversion of the superposition operator generating the nonlinearities of the equations under consideration and the establishment of the coercitivity of the inverse operator, as well as a generalization of the well-known Schleiff inequality.  相似文献

We consider a class of nonlinear second-order integro-differential equations with sum-difference kernel on a positive semiaxis. By constructing a special factorization of the initial linear integro-differential operator, we prove the existence of a nonnegative, nontrivial, and monotonically increasing solution and determine its asymptotic behavior at infinity. The relevant examples are presented.  相似文献

The iterations of the quasilinear technique, employed in nonlinear volterra integral equations, are expressed as linear integral equations. By using Collocation Method, the solutions of these linear equations are approximated. Combining this and iterations of the quasilinear technique yields an approximation solution for nonlinear integral equations. The convergence is considered and the examples confirm the accuracy of the solution.  相似文献

In this paper we consider linear integro-differential equations in Banach spaces with Fredholm operators at the highest-order derivatives and convolution-type Volterra integral parts. We obtain sufficient conditions for the unique solvability (in the classical sense) of the Cauchy problem for the mentioned equations and illustrate the abstract results with pithy examples. The studies are carried out in classes of distributions in Banach spaces with the help of the theory of fundamental operator functions of degenerate integro-differential operators. We propose a universal technique for proving theorems on the form of fundamental operator functions.  相似文献

This paper presents the existence of solutions for a class of Cauchy problems with integral condition for impulsive fractional integro-differential equations. Based on definition of solution for impulsive fractional integro- differential equations, the existence theorems of solutions of fractional differ- ential equation are obtained by applying fixed point methods. Finally, three examples are given to demonstrate the feasibility of the obtained results.  相似文献

An effective method based upon Legendre multiwavelets is proposed for the solution of Fredholm weakly singular integro-differential equations. The properties of Legendre multiwavelets are first given and their operational matrices of integral are constructed. These wavelets are utilized to reduce the solution of the given integro-differential equation to the solution of a sparse linear system of algebraic equations. In order to save memory requirement and computational time, a threshold procedure is applied to obtain the solution to this system of algebraic equations. Through numerical examples, performance of the present method is investigated concerning the convergence and the sparseness of the resulted matrix equation.  相似文献

We consider problems for the nonlinear Boltzmann equation in the framework of two models: a new nonlinear model and the Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook model. The corresponding transformations reduce these problems to nonlinear systems of integral equations. In the framework of the new nonlinear model, we prove the existence of a positive bounded solution of the nonlinear system of integral equations and present examples of functions describing the nonlinearity in this model. The obtained form of the Boltzmann equation in the framework of the Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook model allows analyzing the problem and indicates a method for solving it. We show that there is a qualitative difference between the solutions in the linear and nonlinear cases: the temperature is a bounded function in the nonlinear case, while it increases linearly at infinity in the linear approximation. We establish that in the framework of the new nonlinear model, equations describing the distributions of temperature, concentration, and mean-mass velocity are mutually consistent, which cannot be asserted in the case of the Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook model.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a new approach to resolve linear and nonlinear weakly-singular Volterra integro-differential equations of first- or second-order by first removing the singularity using Taylor’s approximation and then transforming the given first- or second-order integro-differential equations into an ordinary differential equation such as the well-known Legendre, degenerate hypergeometric, Euler or Abel equations in such a manner that Adomian’s asymptotic decomposition method can be applied, which permits convenient resolution of these equations. Some examples with closed-form solutions are studied in detail to further illustrate the proposed technique, and the results obtained demonstrate this approach is indeed practical and efficient.  相似文献

We determine necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of boundary-value problems for a linear system of integro-differential equations with pulse influence. We prove theorems on the existence and integral representation of solutions of linear second order integral-sum Volterra equations and linear systems of integro-differential equations with pulse influence at fixed times. In this article, we implement a relatively new analytical technique, the reproducing kernel Hilbert space method (RKHSM), for solving integro-differential equations of fractional order. The solution obtained by using the method takes the form of a convergent series with easily computable components. Two numerical examples are studied to demonstrate the accuracy of the present method. The present work shows the validity and great potential of the reproducing kernel Hilbert space method for solving linear and nonlinear integro-differential equations of fractional order.  相似文献

In this work, we present the method based on radial basis functions to solve partial integro-differential equations. We focus on the parabolic type of integro-differential equations as the most common forms including the ``\emph{memory}'' of the systems. We propose to apply the collocation scheme using radial basis functions to approximate the solutions of partial integro-differential equations. Due to the presented technique, system of linear or nonlinear equations is made instead of primary problem. The method is efficient because the rate of convergence of collocation method based on radial basis functions is exponential. Some numerical examples and investigation of the experimental results show the applicability and accuracy of the method.  相似文献
