Non-expansive Mappings and Iterative Methods in Uniformly Convex Banach Spaces

In this article, we will investigate the properties of iterative sequence for non-expansive mappings and present several strong and weak convergence results of successive approximations to fixed points of non-expansive mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. The results presented in this article generalize and improve various ones concerned with constructive techniques for the fixed points of non-expansive mappings.

On Basic Constraint Qualifications for Infinite System of Convex Inequalities in Banach Spaces

The BCQ and the Abadie CQ for infinite systems of convex inequalities in Banach spaces are characterized in terms of the upper semi-continuity of the convex cones generated by the subdifferentials of active convex functions. Some relationships with other constraint qualifications such as the CPLV and the Slate condition are also studied. Applications in best approximation theory are provided.     

L~P-orthogonality in Banach Spaces

The notion of L~P-orthogonality was posed by F. Sullivan [1], but it hadnever been studied. The purpose of this paper is to give some results concerningthe L~P-orthogonality in Banach spaces.

This paper shows that every non-separable hereditarily indecomposable Banach space admits an equivalent strictly convex norm, but its bi-dual can never have such a one; consequently, every non-separable hereditarily indecomposable Banach space has no equivalent locally uniformly convex norm.

The Arc Distortion in QH Inner ψ-uniform （or Convex） Domains in Real Banach Spaces

Let D and D′ be domains in real Banach spaces of dimension at least 2. The main aim of this paper is to study certain arc distortion properties in the quasihyperbolic metric defined in real Banach spaces. In particular, when D′ is a QH inner ψ-uniform domain with ψ being a slow (or a convex domain), we investigate the following: For positive constants c,h,C,M, suppose a homeomorphism f: D → D′ takes each of the 10-neargeodesics in D to (c, h)-solid in D′. Then f is C-coarsely M-Lipschitz in the quasihyperbolic metric. These are generalizations of the corresponding result obtained recently by Väisälä.     

K—very Smooth Banach Spaces

We introduce the notion of K-very smoothness which is a generalization of very smoothness in Banach spaces. A necessary and sufficient condition for a Banach space to be K-very smooth is obtained. We also consider some relations between K-very smoothness and other geometrical notions.

Coarse Embedding into Uniformly Convex Banach Spaces

In this paper, the author studies the coarse embedding into uniformly convex Banach spaces. The author proves that the property of coarse embedding into Banach spaces can be preserved under taking the union of the metric spaces under certain conditions. As an application, for a group G strongly relatively hyperbolic to a subgroup H,the author proves that B(n) = {g ∈ G | |g|S∪H≤ n} admits a coarse embedding into a uniformly convex Banach space if H does.

本文在前人^[1,2]的基础之上，以凸泛函的次梯度不等式为工具，将Jensen不等式推广到Banach空间中的凸泛函，导出了Banach空间中的Bochner积分型的广义Jensen不等式，给出其在Banach空间概率论中某些应用，从而推广了文献[3—6]的工作．
