We generalize Komori’s characterization of the proper subvarieties of MV-algebras. Namely, within the variety of generalized
MV-algebras (GMV-algebras) such that every maximal ideal is normal, we characterize the proper top varieties. In addition,
we present equational bases for these top varieties. We show that there are only countably many different proper top varieties
and each of them has uncountably many subvarieties. Finally, we study coproducts and we show that the amalgamation property
fails for the class of n-perfect GMV-algebras, i.e., GMV-algebras that can be split into n + 1 comparable slices.

Certain free products are introduced for operator spaces and dual operator spaces. It is shown that the free product of operator spaces does not preserve the injectivity. The linking C*-algebra of the full free product of two ternary rings of operators (simply, TRO's) is *-isomorphic to the full free product of the linking C*-algebras of the two TRO's. The operator space-reduced free product of the preduals of von Neumann algebras agrees with the predual of the reduced free product of the von Neumann algebras. Each of two operator spaces can be embedded completely isometrically into the reduced free product of the operator spaces. Finally, an example is presented to show that the C*-algebra-reduced free product of two C*-algebras may be contractively isomorphic to a proper subspace of their reduced free product as operator spaces. 相似文献

In the present paper, we show the equality of the γ -factors defined by Jacquet, Piatetski-Shapiro and Shalika with those obtained via the Langlands–Shahidi method. Our results are new in the case of positive characteristic, where we establish a refined version of the local–global principle for GLn which has independent interest. In characteristic zero, the results are due to Shahidi. The comparison of γ-factors is made via a uniqueness result for Rankin–Selberg γ-factors. 相似文献

The paper deals with compositions of independent random bundle maps whose distributions form a stationary process which leads
to study of Markov processes in random environments. A particular case of this situation is a product of independent random
matrices with stationarily changing distributions. We obtain results concerning invariant filtrations for such systems, positivity
and simplicity of the largest Lyapunov exponent, as well as central limit theorem type results. An application to random harmonic
functions and measures is also considered. Continuous time versions of these results, which yield applications to linear stochastic
differential equations in random environments, are also discussed.

Fountain and Gomes [4] have shown that any proper left ample semigroup embeds into a so-called W-product, which is a subsemigroup of a reverse semidirect product ${T\ltimes {\mathcal {Y}}}$ of a semilattice ${\mathcal {Y}}$ by a monoid T, where the action of T on ${\mathcal {Y}}$ is injective with images of the action being order ideals of ${\mathcal {Y}}$ . Proper left ample semigroups are proper left restriction, the latter forming a much wider class. The aim of this paper is to give necessary and sufficient conditions on a proper left restriction semigroup such that it embeds into a W-product. In this paper, we present a game theoretic framework for Cournot–Bertrand competition based on a nonlinear price function. The competition is between two firms and is assumed to take place in terms of pricing decision and quantity produced. However, the proposed objective function has not been used in literature before, yet the throughput obtained in this paper generalizes some of the existing results in literature. The competitive interaction between firms is described and analyzed using best-reply reaction, proposed adaptive adjustment and bounded rationality approach. The condition of stability of Nash equilibrium (NE) is induced by these approaches. Interestingly, we prove that there exists exactly a unique NE. Furthermore, it is noticed that when firms adopt best-reply and the proposed adaptive adjustment, the firms’ strategic variables become asymptotically stable. On the contrary, when the bounded rationality is used both quantity and price behave chaotically due to bifurcation occurred. 相似文献

Geometric products on tensor powers ${\Lambda(V)^{\otimes m}}$ of an exterior algebra and on Whitney algebras (Crapo and Schmitt in J. Comb. Theory A 91:215?C263, 2000) provide a rigorous version of Grassmann??s regressive products of 1844 (Grassmann in Die Lineale Ausdehnungslehre, Verlag von Otto Wigand, Leipzig, 1844). We study geometric products and their relations with other classical operators on exterior algebras, such as the Hodge *?operators and the join and meet products in Cayley?CGrassmann algebras (Barnabei et?al. in J. Algebra 96:120?C160, 1985; Stewart in Nature 321:17, 1986). We establish encodings of tensor powers ${\Lambda(V)^{\otimes m}}$ and of Whitney algebras W m (M) in terms of letterplace algebras and of their geometric products in terms of divided powers of polarization operators. We use these encodings to provide simple proofs of the Crapo and Schmitt exchange relations in Whitney algebras and of two typical classes of identities in Cayley?CGrassmann algebras. 相似文献

The paper is devoted to convergence of double sequences and its application to products. In a convergence space we recognize three types of double convergences and points, respectively. We give examples and describe their structure and properties. We investigate the relationship between the topological and convergence closure product of two Fréchet spaces.
