We introduce a wide range of generalized finitary automorphism groups of an arbitrary module M over an arbitrary ring R. The largest such subgroup of AutRM that we seriously consider here is the subgroup of all R-automorphisms g of M such that M(g  1) has Krull dimension. We also consider the subgroup of all R-automorphisms g of M such that M(g  1) is Artinian as an R-module. The results are vaguely analogous to the genuine finitary case but are somewhat weaker.  相似文献

In this work we consider a simple system of piecewise linear discontinuous 1D map with two discontinuity points: X = aX if ∣X < z, X = bX if ∣X > z, where a and b can take any real value, and may have several applications. We show that its dynamic behaviors are those of a linear rotation: either periodic or quasiperiodic, and always structurally unstable. A generalization to piecewise monotone functions X = F(X) if ∣X < z, X = G(X) if ∣X > z is also given, proving the conditions leading to a homeomorphism of the circle.  相似文献

We are working in a monster model ℭ of a rosy theory T. We prove the following theorems, generalizing the appropriate results from the finite Morley rank case and o-minimal structures. If R is a ⋁-definable integral domain of positive, finite Ut-rank, then its field of fractions is interpretable in ℭ. If A and M are infinite, definable, abelian groups such that A acts definably and faithfully on M as a group of automorphisms, M is A-minimal and Ut(M) is finite, then there is an infinite field interpretable in ℭ. If G is an infinite, solvable but non nilpotent-by-finite, definable group of finite Ut-rank and T has NIP, then there is an infinite field interpretable in 〈G, ·〉.  相似文献

We initiate a geometric stability study of groups of the form G/G 00, where G is a 1-dimensional definably compact, definably connected, definable group in a real closed field M. We consider an enriched structure M?? with a predicate for G 00 and check 1-basedness or non-1-basedness for G/G 00, where G is an additive truncation of M, a multiplicative truncation of M, SO 2(M) or one of its truncations; such groups G/G 00 are now interpretable in M??. We prove that the only 1-based groups are those where G is a sufficiently ??big?? multiplicative truncation, and we relate the results obtained to valuation theory. In the last section we extend our results to ind-hyperdefinable groups constructed from those above.  相似文献

In this paper, the conditions under which there exists a uniformly hyperbolic invariant set for the generalized Hénon map F(x, y) =  (y, ag(y) ? δx) are investigated, where g(y) is a monic real-coefficient polynomial of degree d ? 2, a and δ are non-zero parameters. It is proved that for certain parameter regions the map has a Smale horseshoe and a uniformly hyperbolic invariant set on which it is topologically conjugate to the two-sided fullshift on two symbols, where g(y) has at least two different non-negative or non-positive real zeros, and ∣a∣ is sufficiently large. Moreover, it is shown that if g(y) has only simple real zeros, then for sufficiently large ∣a∣, there exists a uniformly hyperbolic invariant set on which F is topologically conjugate to the two-sided fullshift on d symbols.  相似文献

By means of a generalized method and symbolic computation, we consider a stochastic KdV equation Ut + f(t)U  Ux + g(t)Uxxx = W(t)  R(t, U, Ux, Uxxx). We construct new and more general formal solutions. At the same time, we recover all the solutions found by Xie [Phys. Lett. A 310 (2003) 161]. The solutions obtained include the nontravelling wave and coefficient function’s stochastic soliton-like solutions, singular stochastic soliton-like solutions, stochastic triangular functions solutions.  相似文献

We have studied the time reversal symmetry violation on the bases of the configuration mixing model and E-infinity theory. With the use of the Cabibbo angle approximation, we have presented the transformation matrix in terms of the golden ratio (?), and shown that the time reversal symmetry violation is described by the configuration mixing of the unstable and stable manifolds (Wu, Ws). The magnitude of the mixing for the weak interaction field is given by the expression sin2 θT(theor)  sin4 θC(theor)  (?)12 = 3.105 × 10?3, which is compared to the Kaon decay experiment ~2.3 × 10?3. We have also discussed the space–time symmetry violation by using the CPT theorem.  相似文献

Unsteady flow of an incompressible generalized Maxwell fluid between two coaxial circular cylinders is studied by means of the Laplace and finite Hankel transforms. The motion of the fluid is produced by the rotation of cylinders around their common axis. The solutions that have been obtained, written in integral and series form in terms of the generalized Ga,b,c(·, t)-functions, are presented as a sum of the Newtonian solutions and the corresponding non-Newtonian contributions. They satisfy all imposed initial and boundary conditions and for λ  0 reduce to the solutions corresponding to the Newtonian fluids performing the same solution. Furthermore, the corresponding solutions for ordinary Maxwell fluids are also obtained for β = 1. Finally, in order to reveal some relevant physical aspects of the obtained results, the diagrams of the velocity field ω(r, t) have been depicted against r and t for different values of the material and fractional parameters.  相似文献

Fix an o-minimal expansion of the real exponential field that admits smooth cell decomposition. We study the density of definable smooth functions in the definable continuously differentiable functions with respect to the definable version of the Whitney topology. This implies that abstract definable smooth manifolds are affine. Moreover, abstract definable smooth manifolds are definably C-diffeomorphic if and only if they are definably C1-diffeomorphic.  相似文献

If F is a set-valued mapping from Rn into Rm with closed graph, then yRm is a critical value of F if for some x with yF(x), F is not metrically regular at (x,y). We prove that the set of critical values of a set-valued mapping whose graph is a definable (tame) set in an o-minimal structure containing additions and multiplications is a set of dimension not greater than m−1 (respectively a σ-porous set). As a corollary of this result we get that the collection of asymptotically critical values of a set-valued mapping with a semialgebraic graph has dimension not greater than m−1. We also give an independent proof of the fact that a definable continuous real-valued function is constant on components of the set of its subdifferentiably critical points.  相似文献

We prove the following characterization theorem: If any three of the following four matroid invariants—the number of points, the number of lines, the coefficient of λn  2 in the characteristic polynomial, and the number of three-element dependent sets—of a rank-n combinatorial geometry (or simple matroid) are the same as those of a rank-n projective geometry, then it is a projective geometry (of the same order). To do this, we use a lemma which is of independent interest: If H is a geometry in which all the lines have exactly ℓ  1 or ℓ points and G is a geometry with at least three of the four matroid invariants the same as H, then all the lines in G also have exactly ℓ  1 or ℓ points. An analogue of the characterization theorem holds for affine geometries. Our methods also yield inequalities amongst the four matroid invariants.  相似文献

Let R, >,+,• be a real closed field, and let M be ano-minimal expansion of R. We prove here several results regardingrings and groups which are definable in M. We show that everyM–definable ring without zero divisors is definably isomorphicto R, R((–l)) or the ring of quaternions over R. We consider evolution equations of the form ut = f(x, u, ux)uxx + g(x, u, ux) and ut = uxx + g(x, u, ux). In the spirit of the recent work of Ibragimov [Ibragimov NH. Laplace type invariants for parabolic equations. Nonlinear Dynam 2002;28:125–33] who adopted the infinitesimal method for calculating invariants of families of differential equations using the equivalence groups, we apply the method to these equations. We show that the first class admits one differential invariant of order two, while the second class admits three functional independent differential invariants of order three. We use these invariants to determine equations that can be transformed into the linear diffusion equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the nonlinear dispersive K(m, n) equations: ut + (um)x  (un)xxx = 0 which exhibit solutions with solitary patterns. New exact solitary solutions are found. The two special cases, K(2, 2) and K(3, 3), are chosen to illustrate the concrete features of the decomposition method in K(m, n) equations. The nonlinear equations K(m, n) are studied for two different cases, namely when m = n being odd and even integers. General formulas for the solutions of K(m, n) equations are established.  相似文献
