We define global Weyl modules for twisted loop algebras and analyze their highest weight spaces, which are in fact isomorphic to Laurent polynomial rings in finitely many variables. We are able to show that the global Weyl module is a free module of finite rank over these rings. Furthermore we prove, that there exist injective maps from the global Weyl modules for twisted loop algebras into a direct sum of global Weyl modules for untwisted loop algebras. Relations between local Weyl modules for twisted and untwisted generalized current algebras are known; we provide for the first time a relation on global Weyl modules.  相似文献

This article investigates several convex closure operators on a finite root system. It is shown that a natural closure operator on the positive root system of a finite Weyl group satisfies the anti-exchange condition for all root systems except type F 4.  相似文献

Oshima's Lemma describes the orbits of parabolic subgroups of irreducible finite Weyl groups on crystallographic root systems. This note generalises that result to all root systems of finite Coxeter groups, and provides a self contained proof, independent of the representation theory of semisimple complex Lie algebras.  相似文献

An invariant of a closed set that is equal to the sum of roots is introduced. For a closed subset in a root system, we describe symmetric and special parts and its stabilizer in the Weyl group by means of the sum of roots. We determine associated bases with respect to which the closed set has the simplest form. All possible values of the root sum are found. Bibliography: 9 titles.  相似文献

We extend properties of the weak order on finite Coxeter groups to Weyl groupoids admitting a finite root system. In particular, we determine the topological structure of intervals with respect to weak order, and show that the set of morphisms with fixed target object forms an ortho-complemented meet semilattice. We define the Coxeter complex of a Weyl groupoid with finite root system and show that it coincides with the triangulation of a sphere cut out by a simplicial hyperplane arrangement. As a consequence, one obtains an algebraic interpretation of many hyperplane arrangements that are not reflection arrangements.  相似文献

We adapt the generalization of root systems by the second author and H. Yamane to the terminology of category theory. We introduce Cartan schemes, associated root systems and Weyl groupoids. After some preliminary general results, we completely classify all finite Weyl groupoids with at most three objects. The classification yields the result that there exist infinitely many “standard”, but only 9 “exceptional” cases.  相似文献

We provide simple characterizations of short-braid avoiding and fully commutative elements in an affine Weyl group W, generalizing results of Fan and Stembridge for finite Weyl groups. Our results rely on the combinatorics of the compatible subsets of the root system of W.  相似文献

We study the reduced expressions for reflections in Coxeter groups, with particular emphasis on finite Weyl groups. For example, the number of reduced expressions for any reflection can be expressed as the sum of the squares of the number of reduced expressions for certain elements naturally associated to the reflection. In the case of the longest reflection in a Weyl group, we use a theorem of Dale Peterson to provide an explicit formula for the number of reduced expressions. We also show that the reduced expressions for any Weyl group reflection are in bijection with the linear extensions of a natural partial ordering of a subset of the positive roots or co-roots.  相似文献

We state certain product formulae for Jackson integrals associated with irreducible reduced root systems. The Jackson integral is defined here as a sum over any full-rank sublattice of the coweight lattice for the root system. In particular, a Weyl group symmetry classification of the Jackson integrals is done when they have an expression of a product of the Jacobi elliptic theta functions. Most of the product formulae investigated by Aomoto, Macdonald and Gustafson appear in the list of classifications. A new product formula for an F 4 root system is included in it.  相似文献
