The paper considers small periodic regular and singular perturbations of a system, whose conservative part is an oscillator with cubic restoring force. The smallness of perturbations is due to both the smallness of the neighborhood of equilibrium and the presence of a small parameter. In the absence of a small parameter, we obtain conditions for Lyapunov stability of the equilibrium position. If a small parameter is present, we derive (both for regular and singular perturbations) an equation whose positive roots are in correspondence with invariant two-dimensional tori of the perturbed system.  相似文献

A class of three-dimensional delayed Gause-type predator-prey model with ratio-dependent is considered. Firstly, we present some results, including the boundedness of solutions and the permanence of system. Secondly, we construct a Lyapunov function to give the global asymptotically stable of the positive equilibrium under some parameter conditions. Finally, we analyed the influence of the time delay on the system and showed that the occurrence of small range of periodic motion.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a discrete food-limited population model with time delay. Firstly, the stability of the equilibrium of the system is investigated by analyzing the characteristic equation. By choosing the time delay as a bifurcation parameter, we prove that Neimark-Sacker bifurcations occur when the delay passes a sequence of critical values. Then the explicit algorithm for determining the direction of the Neimark-Sacker bifurcations and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are derived. Finally, some numerical simulations are given to verify the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

Since the notion of user equilibrium (UE) was proposed by Wardrop [13], it has become a cornerstone for traffic assignment analysis. But, it is not sufficient to only ask whether equilibrium exists or not; it is equally important to ask whether and how the system can achieve equilibrium. Meanwhile, stability is an important performance in the sense that if equilibrium is unsustainable, both the equilibrium and the trajectory are sensitive to disturbances, even a small perturbation will result in the system evolution away from the equilibrium point. These incentive a growing interest in day-to-day dynamics. In this paper, we develop a dynamical system with Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS) and study the stability of the network with ATIS. A simple network is used to simulate the model, and the results show that there exist periodic attractors in the traffic network in some cases (for example, the market penetration level of ATIS is 0.25 and traffic demand is 2 unit). It is found that the logit parameter of the dynamical model and the traffic demand can also affect the stability of the traffic network. More periodic attractors appear in the system when the traffic demand is large and the low logit parameter can delay the appearance of periodic attractors. By simulation, it can be concluded that if the range of the periodic attractors’ domain of the simple network is known, the road pricing based on the range of the attraction domain is effective to alleviate the instability of the system.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the behavior of the twist near low-order resonances of a periodic orbit or an equilibrium of a Hamiltonian system with two degrees of freedom. Namely, we analyze the case where the Hamiltonian has multiple eigenvalues (the Hamiltonian Hopf bifurcation) or a zero eigenvalue near the equilibrium and the case where the system has a periodic orbit whose multipliers are equal to 1 (the saddle-center bifurcation) or −1 (the period-doubling bifurcation). We show that the twist does not vanish at least in a small neighborhood of the period-doubling bifurcation. For the saddle-center bifurcation and the resonances of the equilibrium under consideration, we prove the existence of a “twistless” torus for sufficiently small values of the bifurcation parameter. An explicit dependence of the energy corresponding to the twistless torus on the bifurcation parameter is derived. From the saddle-node-Hopf bifurcation point of view, this paper considers a modified Leslie–Gower predator-prey model with time delay and the Michaelis–Menten type prey harvesting. Firstly, we discuss the stability of the equilibria, obtain the critical conditions for the saddle-node-Hopf bifurcation, and give the completion bifurcation set by calculating the universal unfoldings near the saddle-node-Hopf bifurcation point by using the normal form theory and center manifold theorem. Then we derive the parameter conditions for the existence of monostable coexistence equilibrium and the parameter regions in which both the prey-extinction and the coexistence equilibrium (or coexistence periodic or quasi-periodic solutions) are simultaneously stabilized. We also investigate the heteroclinic bifurcation, and describe the phenomenon that the periodic behavior disappears as through the heteroclinic bifurcation. Finally, some numerical simulations are performed to support our analytic results.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply a non-standard finite difference scheme to a time-delayed model of speculative asset markets and discuss the effect of time delay on the dynamics of asset prices. Firstly, the stability of the positive equilibrium of the system is investigated by analysing the characteristic equation. By choosing the time delay as a bifurcation parameter, we prove that Hopf bifurcations occur when the delay passes a sequence of critical values. Then, the explicit algorithm for determining the direction of the Hopf bifurcations and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are derived. Finally, some numerical simulations are given to verify the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

The motions of a non-autonomous Hamiltonian system with one degree of freedom which is periodic in time and where the Hamiltonian contains a small parameter is considered. The origin of coordinates of the phase space is the equilibrium position of the unperturbed or complete system, which is stable in the linear approximation. It is assumed that there is degeneracy in the unperturbed Hamiltonian when account is taken of terms no higher than the fourth degree (the frequency of the small linear oscillations depends on the amplitude) and, in this case, one of the resonances of up to the fourth order inclusive is realized in the system. Model Hamiltonians are constructed for each case of resonance and a qualitative investigation of the motions of the model system is carried out. Using Poincaré's theory of periodic motions and KAM-theory, a rigorous solution is given of the problem of the existence, bifurcations and stability of the periodic motions of the initial system, which are analytic with respect to fractional powers of the small parameter. The resonant periodic motions (in the case of the degeneracy being considered) of a spherical pendulum with an oscillating suspension point are investigated as an application.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a predator–prey model with herd behavior and prey‐taxis subject to the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. First, by analyzing the characteristic equation, the local stability of the positive equilibrium is discussed. Then, choosing prey‐tactic sensitivity coefficient as the bifurcation parameter, we obtain a branch of nonconstant solutions bifurcating from the positive equilibrium by an abstract bifurcation theory, and find the stable bifurcating solutions near the bifurcation point under suitable conditions. We have shown that prey‐taxis can destabilize the uniform equilibrium and yields the occurrence of spatial patterns. Furthermore, some numerical simulations to illustrate the theoretical analysis are also carried out, Turing patterns such as spots pattern, spots–strip pattern, strip pattern, stable nonconstant steady‐state solutions, and spatially inhomogeneous periodic solutions are obtained, which also expand our theoretical results.  相似文献

Stochastic chaos discussed here means a kind of chaotic responses in a Duffing oscillator with bounded random parameters under harmonic excitations. A system with random parameters is usually called a stochastic system. The modifier ‘stochastic’ here implies dependent on some random parameter. As the system itself is stochastic, so is the response, even under harmonic excitations alone. In this paper stochastic chaos and its control are verified by the top Lyapunov exponent of the system. A non-feedback control strategy is adopted here by adding an adjustable noisy phase to the harmonic excitation, so that the control can be realized by adjusting the noise level. It is found that by this control strategy stochastic chaos can be tamed down to the small neighborhood of a periodic trajectory or an equilibrium state. In the analysis the stochastic Duffing oscillator is first transformed into an equivalent deterministic nonlinear system by the Gegenbauer polynomial approximation, so that the problem of controlling stochastic chaos can be reduced into the problem of controlling deterministic chaos in the equivalent system. Then the top Lyapunov exponent of the equivalent system is obtained by Wolf’s method to examine the chaotic behavior of the response. Numerical simulations show that the random phase control strategy is an effective way to control stochastic chaos.  相似文献

We examine the motions of an autonomous Hamiltonian system with two degrees of freedom in a neighborhood of an equilibrium point at a 1:1 resonance. It is assumed that the matrix of linearized equations of perturbed motion is reduced to diagonal form and the equilibrium is linearly stable. As an illustration, we consider the problem of the motion of a dynamically symmetric rigid body (satellite) relative to its center of mass in a central Newtonian gravitational field on a circular orbit in a neighborhood of cylindrical precession. The abovementioned resonance case takes place for parameter values corresponding to the spherical symmetry of the body, for which the angular velocity of proper rotation has the same value and direction as the angular velocity of orbital motion of the radius vector of the center of mass. For parameter values close to the resonance point, the problem of the existence, bifurcations and orbital stability of periodic rigid body motions arising from a corresponding relative equilibrium of the reduced system is solved and issues concerning the existence of conditionally periodic motions are discussed.  相似文献

We deal with an autonomous Hamiltonian system with two degrees of freedom. We assume that the Hamiltonian function is analytic in a neighborhood of the phase space origin, which is an equilibrium point. We consider the case when two imaginary eigenvalues of the matrix of the linearized system are in the ratio 3: 1. We study nonlinear conditionally periodic motions of the system in the vicinity of the equilibrium point. Omitting the terms of order higher then five in the normalized Hamiltonian we analyze the so-called truncated system in detail. We show that its general solution can be given in terms of elliptic integrals and elliptic functions. The motions of truncated system are either periodic, or asymptotic to a periodic one, or conditionally periodic. By using the KAM theory methods we show that most of the conditionally periodic trajectories of the truncated systems persist also in the full system. Moreover, the trajectories that are not conditionally periodic in the full system belong to a subset of exponentially small measure. The results of the study are applied for the analysis of nonlinear motions of a symmetric satellite in a neighborhood of its cylindric precession.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a nonlinear integrodifferential equation (the delay logistic equation) governing the growth dynamics of a single species N(t) for time t > 0. This equation contains a positive parameter λ. Suppose that there exists a positive equilibrium solution N = c which is stable for all small values of λ. Assume also that this solution loses stability as λ is increased past a critical value λ*. This will correspond to a simple pure imaginary conjugate pair of roots of a characteristic equation associated with the linearized stability of N = c at λ = λ*. Then we will construct a unique bifurcating time periodic solution of the equation as a Taylor series in a parameter ε. Furthermore this solution exists either for supercritical values of the parameter (λ > λ*) or for subcritical values (λ < λ*). The stability behavior of this small periodic solution can be characterized according to whether the bifurcation is supercritical or subcritical-supercritical solutions are stable, but subcritical solutions are unstable. Therefore these results are analogous to Hoprs bifurcation theorem for autonomous systems of differential equations.  相似文献

In this paper, Hopf bifurcation for two-species Lotka–Volterra competition systems with delay dependence is investigated. By choosing the delay as a bifurcation parameter, we prove that the system is stable over a range of the delay and beyond that it is unstable in the limit cycle form, i.e., there are periodic solutions bifurcating out from the positive equilibrium. Our results show that a stable competition system can be destabilized by the introduction of a maturation delay parameter. Further, an explicit algorithm for determining the direction of the Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions is derived by using the theory of normal forms and center manifolds, and numerical simulations supporting the theoretical analysis are also given.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a class of predator–prey model with age structure and discuss whether the model can undergo Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation. The analysis is based on the normal form theory and the center manifold theory for semilinear equations with non-dense domain combined with integrated semigroup theory. Qualitative analysis indicates that there exist some parameter values such that this predator–prey model has an unique positive equilibrium which is Bogdanov–Takens singularity. Moreover, it is shown that under suitable small perturbation, the system undergoes the Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation in a small neighborhood of this positive equilibrium.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study Hopf bifurcations in a delayed Lotka–Volterra system with dihedral symmetry. By treating the response delay as bifurcation parameter and employing equivariant degree method, we obtain the existence of multiple branches of nonconstant periodic solutions through a local Hopf bifurcation around an equilibrium. We find that competing coefficients and the response delay in the system can affect the spatio-temporal patterns of bifurcating periodic solutions. According to their symmetric properties, a topological classification is given for these periodic solutions. Furthermore, an estimation is presented on minimal number of bifurcating branches. These theoretical results are helpful to better understand the complex dynamics induced by response delays and symmetries in Lotka–Volterra systems.  相似文献

The Beddington–DeAngelis predator–prey system with distributed delay is studied in this paper. At first, the positive equilibrium and its local stability are investigated. Then, with the mean delay as a bifurcation parameter, the system is found to undergo a Hopf bifurcation. The bifurcating periodic solutions are analyzed by means of the normal form and center manifold theorems. Finally, numerical simulations are also given to illustrate the results.  相似文献

We study the pendulum with a small nonlinear damping, which can be expressed by a Hamiltonian system with a small perturbation. We prove that a unique periodic orbit exists for any initial position between the equilibrium point and the heteroclinic orbit of the unperturbed system, depending on the choice of the bifurcation parameter in the damping. The main tools are bifurcation theory and Abelian integral technique, as well as the Zhang''s uniqueness theorem on Li\''enard equations.  相似文献
