The basic Lommel polynomials associated to the11q-Bessel function and the Jacksonq-Bessel functions are considered as orthogonal polynomials inqν, whereνis the order of the corresponding basic Bessel functions. The corresponding moment problems are both indeterminate and determinate depending on a parameter. Using techniques of Chihara and Maki we derive an explicit orthogonality measure, which is discrete and unbounded. For the indeterminate moment problem this measure is N-extremal. Some results on the zeros of the basic Bessel functions, both as functions of the order and of the argument are obtained. Precise asymptotic behaviour of the zeros of the11q-Bessel function is obtained.  相似文献

We develop a theory of “special functions” associated with a certain fourth-order differential operator Dm,n\mathcal{D}_{\mu,\nu} on ℝ depending on two parameters μ,ν. For integers μ,ν≥−1 with μ+ν∈2ℕ0, this operator extends to a self-adjoint operator on L 2(ℝ+,x μ+ν+1 dx) with discrete spectrum. We find a closed formula for the generating functions of the eigenfunctions, from which we derive basic properties of the eigenfunctions such as orthogonality, completeness, L 2-norms, integral representations, and various recurrence relations.  相似文献

Given a positive probability Borel measure μ on , we establish some basic properties of the associated functions τμ±(q) and of the generalized fractal dimensions Dμ±(q) for . We first give the equivalence of the Hentschel–Procaccia dimensions with the Rényi dimensions and the mean-q dimensions, for q>0. We then use these relations to prove some regularity properties for τμ±(q) and Dμ±(q); we also provide some estimates for these functions, in particular estimates on their behaviour at ±∞, as well as for the dimensions corresponding to convolution of two measures. We finally present some calculations for specific examples illustrating the different cases met in the article.  相似文献

Making use of a differential operator, we introduce and study a certain class SCn(j,p,q,α,λ) of p-valently analytic functions with negative coefficients. In this paper, we obtain numerous sharp results including (for example ) coefficient estimates, distortion theorem, radii of close-to convexity, starlikeness and convexity and modified Hadamard products of functions belonging to the class SCn(j,p,q,α,λ). Finally, several applications investigate an integral operator, and certain fractional calculus operators are also considered.  相似文献

In this paper we study the orthogonality of Fourier coefficients of holomorphic cusp forms in the sense of large sieve inequality. We investigate the family of GL 2 cusp forms modular with respect to the congruence subgroups Γ1(q), with additional averaging over the levels qQ. We obtain the orthogonality in the range NQ 2−δ for any δ > 0, where N is the length of linear forms in the large sieve.  相似文献

In this paper new lower bounds for the cardinality of minimal m-blocking sets are determined. Let r2(q) be the number such that q+r2(q)+1 is the cardinality of the smallest non-trivial line-blocking set in a plane of order q. If B is a minimal m-blocking set in PG(n,q) that contains at most qm+qm−1+…+q+1+r2(q)·(∑i=2mnm−1qi) points for an integer n′ satisfying mn′2m, then the dimension of B is at most n′. If the dimension of B is n′, then the following holds. The cardinality of B equals qm+qm−1+…+q+1+r2(q)(∑i=2mnm−1qi). For n′=m the set B is an m-dimensional subspace and for n′=m+1 the set B is a cone with an (m−2)-dimensional vertex over a non-trivial line-blocking set of cardinality q+r2(q)+1 in a plane skew to the vertex. This result is due to Heim (Mitt. Math. Semin. Giessen 226 (1996), 4–82). For n′>m+1 and q not a prime the number q is a square and for q16 the set B is a Baer cone. If q is odd and |B|<qm+qm−1+…+q+1+r2(q)(qm−1+qm−2), it follows from this result that the subspace generated by B has dimension at most m+1. Furthermore we prove that in this case, if , then B is an m-dimensional subspace or a cone with an (m−2)-dimensional vertex over a non-trivial line-blocking set of cardinality q+r2(q)+1 in a plane skew to the vertex. For q=p3h, p7 and q not a square we show this assertion for |B|qm+qm−1+…+q+1+q2/3·(qm−1+…+1).  相似文献

In this paper we discuss the problem of weighted simultaneous Chebyshev approximation to functions f1,…fm ε C(X) (1 m ∞), i.e., we wish to minimize the expression {∑mj = 1 λj¦fjq¦p}1/p∞, where λj > 0, ∑mj = 1 λj = 1, p 1. For this problem we establish the main theorems of the Chebyshev theory, which include the theorems of existence, alternation, de La Vallée Poussin, uniqueness, strong uniqueness, as well as that of continuity of the best approximation operator, etc.  相似文献
