L p approximation capability of radial basis function (RBF) neural networks is investigated. If g: R +1R 1 and ∈ L loc p (R n ) with 1 ≤ p < ∞, then the RBF neural networks with g as the activation function can approximate any given function in L p (K) with any accuracy for any compact set K in R n , if and only if g(x) is not an even polynomial. We classify graph C *-algebras, namely, Cuntz-Krieger algebras associated to the Bass-Hashimoto edge incidence operator of a finite graph, up to strict isomorphism. This is done by a purely graph theoretical calculation of the K-theory of the C *-algebras and the method also provides an independent proof of the classification up to Morita equivalence and stable equivalence of such algebras, without using the boundary operator algebra. A direct relation is given between the K 1-group of the algebra and the cycle space of the graph. We thank Jakub Byszewski for his input in Sect. 2.8. The position of the unit in K 0( Ч) was guessed based on some example calculations by Jannis Visser in his SCI 291 Science Laboratory at Utrecht University College.  相似文献

We develop the general theory for a new functor K e on the category of C *-algebras. The extremal K-set, K e (A), of a C *-algebra A is defined by means of homotopy classes of extreme partial isometries. It contains K 1 (A) and admits a partially defined addition extending the addition in K 1 (A), so that we have an action of K 1 (A) on K e (A). We show how this functor relates to K 0 and K 1, and how it can be used as a carrier of information relating the various K-groups of ideals and quotients of A. The extremal K-set is then used to extend the classical theory of index for Fredholm and semi-Fredholm operators.  相似文献

We obtain a new inequality for weakly (K1,K2)-quasiregular mappings by using the McShane extension method. This inequality can be used to derive the self-improving regularity of (K1, K2)-Quasiregular Mappings.  相似文献

Let B H,K = {B H,K (t)} t⩾0 be a bifractional Brownian motion with parameters H ∈ (0, 1) and K ∈ (0, 1]. For a function Φ: [0, ∞) → [0, ∞) and for a partition κ = {t i }n i=0 of an interval [0, T] with T > 0, let {ie418-01}. We prove that, for a suitable Φ depending on H and K, {ie418-02} almost surely. We introduce a new class of graphs which we call P 3-dominated graphs. This class properly contains all quasi-claw-free graphs, and hence all claw-free graphs. Let G be a 2-connected P 3-dominated graph. We prove that G is hamiltonian if α(G 2) ≤ κ(G), with two exceptions: K 2,3 and K 1,1,3. We also prove that G is hamiltonian, if G is 3-connected and |V(G)| ≤ 5δ(G) − 5. These results extend known results on (quasi-)claw-free graphs. We the study the algebraic K-theory of C *-algebras, forgetting the topology. The main results include a proof that commutative C*-algebras are K-regular in all degrees (that is, all theirN T K iand extensions of the Fischer-Prasolov Theorem comparing algebraic and topological K-theory with finite coefficients.  相似文献

For a certain class of extensions of C*-algebras in which B and A belong to classifiable classes of C*-algebras, we show that the functor which sends to its associated six term exact sequence in K-theory and the positive cones of K0(B) and K0(A) is a classification functor. We give two independent applications addressing the classification of a class of C*-algebras arising from substitutional shift spaces on one hand and of graph algebras on the other. The former application leads to the answer of a question of Carlsen and the first named author concerning the completeness of stabilized Matsumoto algebras as an invariant of flow equivalence. The latter leads to the first classification result for nonsimple graph C*-algebras.  相似文献

The results of Kasparov, Connes, Higson, and Loring imply the coincidence of the functors [[qℂ ⊗ K, BK]] = [[C 0(ℝ2) ⊗ K, BK]] for any C*-algebra B; here[[A, B]] denotes the set of homotopy classes of asymptotic homomorphisms from A to B. Inthe paper, this assertion is strengthened; namely, it is shown that the algebras qℂ ⊗ K and C 0(ℝ2) ⊗ K are equivalent in the category whose objects are C*-algebras and morphisms are classes of homotopic asymptotic homomorphisms. Some geometric properties of the obtained equivalence are studied. Namely, the algebras qℂ ⊗ K and C 0(ℝ2) ⊗ K are represented as fields of C*-algebras; it is proved that the equivalence is not fiber-preserving, i.e., is does not take fibers to fibers. It is also proved that the algebras under consideration are not homotopy equivalent.__________Translated from Matematicheskie Zametki, vol. 77, no. 5, 2005, pp. 788–796.Original Russian Text Copyright ©2005 by T. For given a graph H, a graphic sequence π = (d 1, d 2,..., d n) is said to be potentially H-graphic if there is a realization of π containing H as a subgraph. In this paper, we characterize the potentially (K 5e)-positive graphic sequences and give two simple necessary and sufficient conditions for a positive graphic sequence π to be potentially K 5-graphic, where K r is a complete graph on r vertices and K r-e is a graph obtained from K r by deleting one edge. Moreover, we also give a simple necessary and sufficient condition for a positive graphic sequence π to be potentially K 6-graphic. We study projective curvature tensor in K-contact and Sasakian manifolds. We prove that (1) if a K-contact manifold is quasi projectively flat then it is Einstein and (2) a K-contact manifold is ξ-projectively flat if and only if it is Einstein Sasakian. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a K-contact manifold to be quasi projectively flat and φ-projectively flat are obtained. We also prove that for a (2n + 1)-dimensional Sasakian manifold the conditions of being quasi projectively flat, φ-projectively flat and locally isometric to the unit sphere S 2n+1 (1) are equivalent. Finally, we prove that a compact φ-projectively flat K-contact manifold with regular contact vector field is a principal S 1-bundle over an almost Kaehler space of constant holomorphic sectional curvature 4.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss the K-groups of Wiener algebra ;W. For the 1-shift space XGM2,We obtain a characterization of Fredholm operators on X^nGM2 for all n ∈ N. We also calculate the K-groups of operator algebra on the 1-shift space XGM2.  相似文献

Let X be a connected finite CW complex. We show that, given a positive homomorphism Hom(K *(C(X)), K *(A)) with [1 C(X)][1 A ], where A is a unital separable simple C *-algebra with real rank zero, stable rank one and weakly unperforated K 0(A), there exists a homomorphism h: C(X)A such that h induces . We also prove a structure result for unital separable simple C *-algebras A with real rank zero, stable rank one and weakly unperforated K 0(A), namely, there exists a simple AH-algebra of real rank zero contained in A which determines the K-theory of A.  相似文献

Letg:U→ℝ (U open in ℝn) be an analytic and K-subanalytic (i. e. definable in ℝ an K , whereK, the field of exponents, is any subfield ofℝ) function. Then the set of points, denoted Σ, whereg does not admit an analytic extension is K-subanalytic andg can be extended analytically to a neighbourhood of Ū\∑. We generalize the Atiyah-Segal completion theorem to C *-algebras as follows. Let A be a C *-algebra with a continuous action of the compact Lie group G. If K * G (A) is finitely generated as an R(G)-module, or under other suitable restrictions, then the I(G)-adic completion K * G (A) is isomorphic to RK *([A C(EG)]G), where RK * is representable K-theory for - C *-algebras and EG is a classifying space for G. As a corollary, we show that if and are homotopic actions of G, and if K *(C * (G,A,)) and K *(C * (G,A,)) are finitely generated, then K *(C *(G,A,))K*(C * (G,A,)). We give examples to show that this isomorphism fails without the completions. However, we prove that this isomorphism does hold without the completions if the homotopy is required to be norm continuous. This work was partially supported by an NSF Graduate Fellowship and by an NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship.  相似文献

The decomposition of the complete graph Kv into Kr×Kc's, the products of Kr and Kc,is originated from the use of DNA library screening. In this paper, we consider the case where r=2 and c = 5, and show that such a decomposition exists if and only if v ≡ 1 (mod 25).  相似文献

This paper proposes a polynomial factorization approach for queue length distribution of discrete time GI X /G/1 and GI X /G/1/K queues. They are analyzed by using a two-component state model at the arrival and departure instants of customers. The equilibrium state-transition equations of state probabilities are solved by a polynomial factorization method. Finally, the queue length distributions are then obtained as linear combinations of geometric series, whose parameters are evaluated from roots of a characteristic polynomial.  相似文献

Let E/F be a finite separable field extension and let m denote the integral part of log2 [E : F]. David Leep recently showed that if char(F) 2, then for n m the nth power of the fundamental ideal in the Witt ring of E satisfies the equality I n E = I nm F · I m E. The aim of this note is to prove the analogous equality for the Milnor K-groups, that is K n E = K nm F · K m E for n m. In either of these equalities one may not replace m by m – 1, as examples of certain m-quadratic extensions indicate.  相似文献
