A Rigidity Theorem for Ricci Flat Metrics

A rigidity result of the complete n-dimensional spin Ricci flat manifolds admitting a certain smooth S¹ action is proved, provided that the action has fixed points and the metric is asymptotically flat. Such manifolds are isometric to the n-dimensional Riemannian Schwarzschild metric.     

General spherically symmetric Finsler metrics with constant Ricci and flag curvature

In this paper, we investigate the flag curvature of a special class of Finsler metrics called general spherically symmetric Finsler metrics, which are defined by a Euclidean metric and two related 1-forms. We find equations to characterize the class of metrics with constant Ricci curvature (tensor) and constant flag curvature. Moreover, we study general spherically symmetric Finsler metrics with the vanishing non-Riemannian quantity χ-curvature. In particular, we construct some new projectively flat Finsler metrics of constant flag curvature.

李安民和赵国松［１］提出了下面的问题：找出李奇曲率平行的黎曼流形的曲率张量模长的最佳拼挤常数并确定达到该值的流形．本文确定了非爱因斯坦流形的最佳拼挤常数和达到该值的黎曼流形．在ｎ１２时，回答了［１］中提出的问题．     

具有正Ricci曲率和体积Pinching流形的一个球定理

M~n是一个紧致无边单连通的n(≥3)维Riemannian流形,S~n为R~(n+1)中的单位球面.本文所关注的流形满足截面曲率K_M≤1,而Ricci曲率Ric(M)≥(n+2)/4以及体积V(M)≤3/2(1+η)V(S~(2n)),这里η是一个仅和维数n有关的常数.最终将给出一个具有正的Ricci曲率的球定理新证明.     

关于局部对称空间中极小子流形的一个Ricci曲率pinching定理

研究局部对称空间中具有正Ricci曲率的完备极小子流形,得到了关于子流形Ricci曲率的一个pinching定理,把Norio Ejiri的结论从外围空间为球空间推广到局部对称空间中。     

A Rigidity Theorem for Compact Hypersurfaces with an Upper Bound for the Ricci Curvature

We focus our attention on compact hypersurfaces with Ricci curvature bounded from above and we give a sufficient condition for them to be spherical. This generalizes and completes previous results.     

Geometry of Ricci Solitons

Ricci solitons are natural generalizations of Einstein metrics on one hand, and are special solutions of the Ricci flow of Hamilton on the other hand. In this paper we survey some of the recent developments on Ricci solitons and the role they play in the singularity study of the Ricci flow.     

A Criterion of Nonparabolicity by the Ricci Curvature

A complete manifold is said to be nonparabolic if it does admit a positive Green’s function. To ?nd a sharp geometric criterion for the parabolicity/nonparbolicity is an attractive question inside the function theory on Riemannian manifolds. This paper devotes to proving a criterion for nonparabolicity of a complete manifold weakened by the Ricci curvature. For this purpose, we shall apply the new Laplacian comparison theorem established by the ?rst author to show the existence of a non-constant bounded subharmonic function.     

Conformal metrics and Ricci tensors in the pseudo-Euclidean space

We consider constant symmetric tensors on , , and we study the problem of finding metrics conformal to the pseudo-Euclidean metric such that . We show that such tensors are determined by the diagonal elements and we obtain explicitly the metrics . As a consequence of these results we get solutions globally defined on for the equation Moreover, we show that for certain unbounded functions defined on , there are metrics conformal to the pseudo-Euclidean metric with scalar curvature .

     

常曲率空间中具正Ricci曲率的子流形

设S~(n+p)(1)是一单位球面,M~n是浸入S~(n+p)(1)的具有非零平行平均曲率向量的n维紧致子流形.证明了当n≥4,p≥2时,如果M~n的Ricci曲率不小于(n-2)(1+H~2),则M~n是全脐的或者M~n的Ricci曲率等于(n-2)(1+H~2),进而M~n的几何分类被完全给出.     

Comparison theorems on Finsler manifolds with weighted Ricci curvature bounded below

We obtain the Laplacian comparison theorem and the Bishop-Gromov comparison theorem on a Finsler manifold with the weighted Ricci curvature Ric_∞ bounded below. As applications, we prove that if the weighted Ricci curvature Ric_∞ is bounded below by a positive number, then the manifold must have finite fundamental group, and must be compact if the distortion is also bounded. Moreover, we give the Calabi-Yau linear volume growth theorem on a Finsler manifold with nonnegative weighted Ricci curvature.     

Foliations on the tangent bundle of Finsler manifolds

Let M be a smooth manifold with Finsler metric F,and let T M be the slit tangent bundle of M with a generalized Riemannian metric G,which is induced by F.In this paper,we prove that (i) (M,F) is a Landsberg manifold if and only if the vertical foliation F V is totally geodesic in (T M,G);(ii) letting a:= a(τ) be a positive function of τ=F 2 and k,c be two positive numbers such that c=2 k(1+a),then (M,F) is of constant curvature k if and only if the restriction of G on the c-indicatrix bundle IM (c) is bundle-like for the horizontal Liouville foliation on IM (c),if and only if the horizontal Liouville vector field is a Killing vector field on (IM (c),G),if and only if the curvature-angular form Λ of (M,F) satisfies Λ=1-a 2/R on IM (c).

Curvature integrals under the Ricci flow on surfaces

In this paper, we consider the behavior of the total absolute and the total curvature under the Ricci flow on complete surfaces with bounded curvature. It is shown that they are monotone non-increasing and constant in time, respectively, if they exist and are finite at the initial time. As a related result, we prove that the asymptotic volume ratio is constant under the Ricci flow with non-negative Ricci curvature, at the end of the paper.      

On Einstein Matsumoto metrics

Einstein metrics are solutions to Einstein field equation in General Relativity containing the Ricci-flat metrics. Einstein Finsler metrics which represent a non-Riemannian stage for the extensions of metric gravity, provide an interesting source of geometric issues and the (α,β)-metric is an important class of Finsler metrics appearing iteratively in physical studies. It is proved that every n-dimensional (n≥3) Einstein Matsumoto metric is a Ricci-flat metric with vanishing S-curvature. The main result can be regarded as a second Schur type Lemma for Matsumoto metrics.     

Nonparallelism of the Ricci Tensor of Pseudo-cylindric Metrics

We describe examples of metrics in the conformal class [g] on some conformally flat Riemannian manifolds (M,g]. These metrics have a constant scalar curvature and an harmonic curvature with nonparallel Ricci tensor.     

常曲率流形中具平行李奇曲率的超曲面

设f:M~n→M~(n+1)(c)为具平行李奇曲率的黎曼流形到常曲率流形的等距浸入,本文给出了该超曲面的分类。另外,若M~n还是极小超曲面,本文也给出了该超曲面的分类,推广了Lawson的有关结果。
