Consider the Emden-Fowler dynamic equation $$ x^{\Delta\Delta}(t)+p(t)x^\alpha(t)=0,\:\:\alpha >0 , \qquad \qquad \qquad \qquad (0.1) $$ where ${p\in C_{rd}([t_0,\infty)_{\mathbb{T}},\mathbb{R}), \alpha}$ is the quotient of odd positive integers, and ${\mathbb{T}}$ denotes a time scale which is unbounded above and satisfies an additional condition (C) given below. We prove that if ${\int^\infty_{t_0}t^\alpha |p(t)|\Delta t<\infty}$ (and when ???=?1 we also assume lim t???? tp(t)??(t)?=?0), then (0.1) has a solution x(t) with the property that $$ \lim_{t\rightarrow\infty} \frac{x(t)}{t}=A\neq 0.$$ 相似文献

Given any maximal monotone operator ${A: D(A)\subset H \rightarrow 2^H}$ in a real Hilbert space H with ${A^{-1}(0) \ne \emptyset}$ , it is shown that the sequence of proximal iterates ${x_{n+1}=(I+\gamma_n A)^{-1}(\lambda_n u+(1-\lambda_n)(x_n+e_n))}$ converges strongly to the metric projection of u on A ?1(0) for (e n ) bounded, ${\lambda_n \in (0,1)}$ with ${\lambda_n \to 1}$ and γ n > 0 with ${\gamma_n \to\infty}$ as ${n \to \infty}$ . In comparison with our previous paper (Boikanyo and Moro?anu in Optim Lett 4(4):635–641, 2010), where the error sequence was supposed to converge to zero, here we consider the classical condition that errors be bounded. In the case when A is the subdifferential of a proper convex lower semicontinuous function ${\varphi :H \to (-\infty,+ \infty]}$ , the algorithm can be used to approximate the minimizer of φ which is nearest to u. 相似文献

Using elementary arguments based on the Fourier transform we prove that for ${1 \leq q < p < \infty}$ and ${s \geq 0}$ with s > n(1/2 ? 1/p), if ${f \in L^{q,\infty} (\mathbb{R}^n) \cap \dot{H}^s (\mathbb{R}^n)}$ , then ${f \in L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ and there exists a constant c p,q,s such that $$\| f \|_{L^{p}} \leq c_{p,q,s} \| f \|^\theta _{L^{q,\infty}} \| f \|^{1-\theta}_{\dot{H}^s},$$ where 1/p = θ/q + (1?θ)(1/2?s/n). In particular, in ${\mathbb{R}^2}$ we obtain the generalised Ladyzhenskaya inequality ${\| f \| _{L^4} \leq c \| f \|^{1/2}_{L^{2,\infty}} \| f \|^{1/2}_{\dot{H}^1}}$ .We also show that for s = n/2 and q > 1 the norm in ${\| f \|_{\dot{H}^{n/2}}}$ can be replaced by the norm in BMO. As well as giving relatively simple proofs of these inequalities, this paper provides a brief primer of some basic concepts in harmonic analysis, including weak spaces, the Fourier transform, the Lebesgue Differentiation Theorem, and Calderon–Zygmund decompositions. 相似文献

Let (T t ) t?≥ 0 be a bounded analytic semigroup on L p (Ω), with 1?<?p?<?∞. Let ?A denote its infinitesimal generator. It is known that if A and A * both satisfy square function estimates ${\bigl\|\bigl(\int_{0}^{\infty} \vert A^{\frac{1}{2}} T_t(x)\vert^2 {\rm d}t \bigr)^{\frac{1}{2}}\bigr\|_{L^p} \lesssim \|x\|_{L^p}}$ and ${\bigl\|\bigl(\int_{0}^{\infty} \vert A^{*\frac{1}{2}} T_t^*(y) \vert^2 {\rm d}t \bigr)^{\frac{1}{2}}\bigr\|_{L^{p^\prime}} \lesssim \|y\|_{L^{p^\prime}}}$ for ${x\in L^p(\Omega)}$ and ${y\in L^{p^\prime}(\Omega)}$ , then A admits a bounded ${H^{\infty}(\Sigma_\theta)}$ functional calculus for any ${\theta>\frac{\pi}{2}}$ . We show that this actually holds true for some ${\theta<\frac{\pi}{2}}$ . 相似文献

Let ${\mathbb{N}}$ be the set of all natural numbers and ${\ell_\infty=\ell_\infty (\mathbb{N})}$ be the Banach space of all bounded sequences x = (x 1, x 2 . . .) with the norm $$\|x\|_{\infty}=\sup_{n\in\mathbb{N}}|x_n|,$$ and let ${\ell_\infty^*}$ be its Banach dual. Let ${\mathfrak{B} \subset \ell_\infty^*}$ be the set of all normalised positive translation invariant functionals (Banach limits) on ? ∞ and let ${ext(\mathfrak{B})}$ be the set of all extreme points of ${\mathfrak{B}}$ . We prove that an arbitrary sequence (B j ) j ≥ 1, of distinct points from the set ${ext(\mathfrak{B})}$ is 1-equivalent to the unit vector basis of the space ? 1 of all summable sequences. We also study Cesáro-invariant Banach limits. In particular, we prove that the norm closed convex hull of ${ext(\mathfrak{B})}$ does not contain a Cesáro-invariant Banach limit. 相似文献

In this article we consider functions f that are meromorphic and univalent in the unit disc ${\mathbb{D}}$ with pole at the point ${z = p \in (0, 1)}$ and having a Taylor expansion at the origin of the form $$f(z) = z + \sum _{n=2}^{\infty}a_n(f)z^n, \quad |z| < p.$$ The class of functions that satisfy the above conditions and map the unit disc such that ${\overline{\mathbb{C}} \setminus f(\mathbb{D})}$ is starlike with respect to a point w 0 ( ≠ 0, ∞) will be denoted by Σ *(p, w 0). We generalize and sharpen an inequality for a 2(f), ${f \in \Sigma^*(p,w_0)}$ , proved by Miller (Proc Am Math Soc 80:607–613, 1980) by use of the coefficients a n (f), n ≥ 3. 相似文献

We study the set ${\mathcal{X}}$ of split operators acting in the Hilbert space ${\mathcal{H}}$ : $$\mathcal{X}=\{T\in \mathcal{B}(\mathcal{H}): N(T)\cap R(T)=\{0\} \ {\rm and} \ N(T)+R(T)=\mathcal{H}\}.$$ Inside ${\mathcal{X}}$ , we consider the set ${\mathcal{Y}}$ : $$\mathcal{Y}=\{T\in\mathcal{X}: N(T)\perp R(T)\}.$$ Several characterizations of these sets are given. For instance ${T\in\mathcal{X}}$ if and only if there exists an oblique projection ${Q}$ whose range is N(T) such that T + Q is invertible, if and only if T posseses a commuting (necessarilly unique) pseudo-inverse S (i.e. TS = ST, TST = T and STS = S). Analogous characterizations are given for ${\mathcal{Y}}$ . Two natural maps are considered: $${\bf q}:\mathcal{X} \to \mathbb{Q}:=\{{\rm oblique \ projections \ in} \, \mathcal{H} \}, \ {\bf q}(T)=P_{R(T)//N(T)}$$ and $${\bf p}:\mathcal{Y} \to \mathbb{P}:=\{{\rm orthogonal \ projections \ in} \ \mathcal{H} \}, \ {\bf p}(T)=P_{R(T)}, $$ where ${P_{R(T)//N(T)}}$ denotes the projection onto R(T) with nullspace N(T), and P R(T) denotes the orthogonal projection onto R(T). These maps are in general non continuous, subsets of continuity are studied. For the map q these are: similarity orbits, and the subsets ${\mathcal{X}_{c_k}\subset \mathcal{X}}$ of operators with rank ${k<\infty}$ , and ${\mathcal{X}_{F_k}\subset\mathcal{X}}$ of Fredholm operators with nullity ${k<\infty}$ . For the map p there are analogous results. We show that the interior of ${\mathcal{X}}$ is ${\mathcal{X}_{F_0}\cup\mathcal{X}_{F_1}}$ , and that ${\mathcal{X}_{c_k}}$ and ${\mathcal{X}_{F_k}}$ are arc-wise connected differentiable manifolds. 相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{B}_{p,w}}$ be the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators acting on the weighted Lebesgue space ${L^p(\mathbb{R},w)}$ , where ${p\in(1,\infty)}$ and w is a Muckenhoupt weight. We study the Banach subalgebra ${\mathfrak{U}_{p,w}}$ of ${\mathcal{B}_{p,w}}$ generated by all multiplication operators aI ( ${a\in PSO^\diamond}$ ) and all convolution operators W 0(b) ( ${b\in PSO_{p,w}^\diamond}$ ), where ${PSO^\diamond\subset L^\infty(\mathbb{R})}$ and ${PSO_{p,w}^\diamond\subset M_{p,w}}$ are algebras of piecewise slowly oscillating functions that admit piecewise slowly oscillating discontinuities at arbitrary points of ${\mathbb{R}\cup\{\infty\}}$ , and M p,w is the Banach algebra of Fourier multipliers on ${L^p(\mathbb{R},w)}$ . Under some conditions on the Muckenhoupt weight w, using results of the local study of ${\mathfrak{U}_{p,w}}$ obtained in the first part of the paper and applying the theory of Mellin pseudodifferential operators and the two idempotents theorem, we now construct a Fredholm symbol calculus for the Banach algebra ${\mathfrak{U}_{p,w}}$ and establish a Fredholm criterion for the operators ${A\in\mathfrak{U}_{p,w}}$ in terms of their Fredholm symbols. In four partial cases we obtain for ${\mathfrak{U}_{p,w}}$ more effective results. 相似文献

We study new series of the form $\sum\nolimits_{k = 0}^\infty {f_k^{ - 1} \hat P_k^{ - 1} (x)} $ in which the general term $f_k^{ - 1} \hat P_k^{ - 1} (x)$ , k = 0, 1, …, is obtained by passing to the limit as α→?1 from the general term $\hat f_k^\alpha \hat P_k^{\alpha ,\alpha } (x)$ of the Fourier series $\sum\nolimits_{k = 0}^\infty {f_k^\alpha \hat P_k^{\alpha ,\alpha } (x)} $ in Jacobi ultraspherical polynomials $\hat P_k^{\alpha ,\alpha } (x)$ generating, for α> ?1, an orthonormal system with weight (1 ? x 2)α on [?1, 1]. We study the properties of the partial sums $S_n^{ - 1} (f,x) = \sum\nolimits_{k = 0}^n {f_k^{ - 1} \hat P_k^{ - 1} (x)} $ of the limit ultraspherical series $\sum\nolimits_{k = 0}^\infty {f_k^{ - 1} \hat P_k^{ - 1} (x)} $ . In particular, it is shown that the operator S n ?1 (f) = S n ?1 (f, x) is the projection onto the subspace of algebraic polynomials p n = p n (x) of degree at most n, i.e., S n (p n ) = p n ; in addition, S n ?1 (f, x) coincides with f(x) at the endpoints ±1, i.e., S n ?1 (f,±1) = f(±1). It is proved that the Lebesgue function Λ n (x) of the partial sums S n ?1 (f, x) is of the order of growth equal to O(ln n), and, more precisely, it is proved that $\Lambda _n (x) \leqslant c(1 + \ln (1 + n\sqrt {1 - x^2 } )), - 1 \leqslant x \leqslant 1$ . 相似文献
