In this paper, we analyze a augmented IS-LM business cycle model with the capital accumulation equation that two time delays are considered in investment processes according to Kalecki’s idea. Applying stability switch criteria and Hopf bifurcation theory, we prove that time delays cause the equilibrium to lose or gain stability and Hopf bifurcation occurs.  相似文献

In this paper, a delayed density dependent predator-prey model with Crowley-Martin functional response and two time delays for the predator is considered. By analyzing the corresponding characteristic equations, the local stability of each of the feasible equilibria of the system is addressed and the existence of Hopf bifurcation at the coexistence equilibrium is established. With the help of normal form method and center manifold theorem, some explicit formulas determining the direction of Hopf bifurcation and the stability of bifurcating period solutions are derived. Finally, numerical simulations are given to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, a predator-prey system with two discrete delays and stage structure for both the predator and the prey is investigated. The dynamical behaviors such as local stability and local Hopf bifurcation are analyzed by regarding the possible combinations of the two delays as bifurcating parameter. Some explicit formulae determining the direction of the Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are derived by using the normal form method and the center manifold theory. In this paper a model with two independent distributed delays is proposed to describe a population of microorganism feeding on a limiting nutrient which is supplied at a constant rate and is recycled after the death of the species by decomposer action. We obtain sufficient conditions for local and global stability of the positive equilibrium of the model. A fairly general function for nutrient uptake is considered. Stability changes of the positive equilibrium as the nutrient supply increases are studied by the Hopf bifurcation theorem.  相似文献

A modified Leslie-Gower predator-prey system with discrete and distributed delays is introduced. By analyzing the associated characteristic equation, stability and local Hopf bifurcation of the model are studied. It is found that the positive equilibrium is asymptotically stable when $\tau$ is less than a critical value and unstable when $\tau$ is greater than this critical value and the system can also undergo Hopf bifurcation at the positive equilibrium when $\tau$ crosses this critical value. Furthermore, using the normal form theory and center manifold theorem, the formulae for determining the direction of periodic solutions bifurcating from positive equilibrium are derived. Some numerical simulations are also carried out to illustrate our results.  相似文献

In this paper, the stability and Hopf bifurcation of a delayed viral infection model with logistic growth and saturated immune impairment is studied. It is shown that there exist 3 equilibria. The sufficient conditions for local asymptotic stability of the infection‐free equilibrium and no‐immune equilibrium are given. We also discussed the local stability of positive equilibrium and the existence of Hopf bifurcation. Moreover, the direction and stability of Hopf bifurcation is obtained by using standard form theory and the center manifold theorem. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to verify the theoretical conclusions.  相似文献

This paper presents an investigation of stability and Hopf bifurcation of the synaptically coupled nonidentical FHN model with two time delays. This paper is concerned with a predator–prey system with Holling II functional response and hunting delay and gestation. By regarding the sum of delays as the bifurcation parameter, the local stability of the positive equilibrium and the existence of Hopf bifurcation are investigated. We obtained explicit formulas to determine the properties of Hopf bifurcation by using the normal form method and center manifold theorem. Special attention is paid to the global continuation of local Hopf bifurcation. Using a global Hopf bifurcation result of Wu [Wu JH. Symmetric functional differential equations and neural networks with memory, Trans Amer Math Soc 1998;350:4799–4838] for functional differential equations, we may show the global existence of the periodic solutions. Finally, several numerical simulations illustrating the theoretical analysis are also given.  相似文献

In this paper, a two‐neuron network with both discrete and distributed delays is considered. With the corresponding characteristic equation analyzed, the local stability of the trivial equilibrium is investigated. With the discrete time delay taken as a bifurcation parameter, the existence of Hopf bifurcation is established. Moreover, formulae for determining the direction of Hopf bifurcation and the stability of bifurcating periodic solutions are derived. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the main results and further to exhibit that there is a characteristic sequence of bifurcations leading to a chaotic dynamics, which implies that the system admits rich and complex dynamics.
