An expression for the coefficients of a linear iterative equation in terms of the parameters of the source equation is given both for equations in standard form and for equations in reduced normal form. The operator that generates an iterative equation of a general order in reduced normal form is also obtained and some other properties of iterative equations are established. An expression for the parameters of the source equation of the transformed equation under equivalence transformations is obtained, and this gives rise to the derivation of important symmetry properties for iterative equations. The transformation mapping a given iterative equation to the canonical form is obtained in terms of the simplest determining equation, and several examples of application are discussed.  相似文献

We investigate some features of generalized symmetries of integrable systems aiming to obtain the Fokas–Gel’fand formula for the immersion of two-dimensional soliton surfaces in Lie algebras. We show that if there exists a common symmetry of the zero-curvature representation of an integrable partial differential equation and its linear spectral problem, then the Fokas–Gel’fand immersion formula is applicable in its original form. In the general case, we show that when the symmetry of the zero-curvature representation is not a symmetry of its linear spectral problem, then the immersion function of the two-dimensional surface is determined by an extended formula involving additional terms in the expression for the tangent vectors. We illustrate these results with examples including the elliptic ordinary differential equation and the CPN?1 sigma-model equation.  相似文献

We report on the use of the algebraic methods to obtain the explicit form of the solution of the Schrödinger equation with a linear potential. We consider the case of the explicitly time dependent Hamiltonian and formulate the general conditions that allow for the solutions to be found that are expressed in terms of Airy functions, yielding non spreading wave packets. The relevant physical meaning of these solutions is analyzed and the examples of their applications are given. The role, played by the Airy transform and its relevance to the problems, involving linear potentials is discussed. Eventually, we present a thorough discussion on the analogy between the Airy and the Gauss-Weierstrass transform, often employed in the solutions of the heat type equations.  相似文献

On the plane, we consider a linear partial differential equation of arbitrary order of hyperbolic type. The operator in the equation is a composition of first-order differential operators. The equation is accompanied with Cauchy conditions. For the equation, we obtain an analytic form of the general solution, from which we single out the unique classical solution of the Cauchy problem.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem for general second–order uniformly elliptic linear equation in divergence form. We give a stochastic representation of bounded weak solutions of the problem in terms of solutions of associated linear backward stochastic differential equations. This paper discusses the existence and stability of solitary-wave solutions of a general higher-order Benjamin-Bona-Mahony (BBM) equation, which involves pseudo-differential operators for the linear part. One of such equations can be derived from water-wave problems as second-order approximate equations from fully nonlinear governing equations. Under some conditions on the symbols of pseudo-differential operators and the nonlinear terms, it is shown that the general higher-order BBM equation has solitary-wave solutions. Moreover, under slightly more restrictive conditions, the set of solitary-wave solutions is orbitally stable. Here, the equation has a nonlinear part involving the polynomials of solution and its derivatives with different degrees (not homogeneous), which has not been studied before. Numerical stability and instability of solitary-wave solutions for some special fifth-order BBM equations are also given.  相似文献

This article addresses the problem of defining a general scaling setting in which Gaussian and non-Gaussian limit distributions of linear random fields can be obtained. The linear random fields considered are defined by the convolution of a Green kernel, satisfying suitable scaling conditions, with a non-linear transformation of a Gaussian centered homogeneous random field. The results derived cover the weak-dependence and strong-dependence cases for such Gaussian random fields. Extension to more general random initial conditions defined, for example, in terms of non-linear transformations of χ2-random fields, is also discussed. For an example, we consider the random fractional diffusion equation. The vectorial version of the limit theorems derived is also formulated, including the limit distribution of the parabolically rescaled solution to the Burgers equation in the cases of weakly and strongly dependent initial potentials.  相似文献

Symmetries of linear iterative equations and new conditions on the infinitesimals are obtained. Regarding the expressions of the solutions in terms of the parameters of the source equation, an ansatz is made on the original parameters. We have also obtained an expression for the source parameters of the transformed equation under equivalence transformations. We conducted this work with a special emphasis on second-, third- and fourth-order equations, although some of our results are valid for equations of a general order.  相似文献

We find the general solution of the reflection equation associated with the Jordanian deformation of the SL(2)-invariant Yang R-matrix. A special scaling limit of the XXZ model with general boundary conditions leads to the same K-matrix. Following the Sklyanin formalism, we derive the Hamiltonian with the boundary terms in explicit form. We also discuss the structure of the spectrum of the deformed XXX model and its dependence on the boundary conditions.  相似文献

This paper discusses the anti-symmetric ortho-symmetric solution of a linear matrix equation and its optimal approximation. By the generalized singular value decomposition of the matrices, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the matrix equation and the general form of the anti-symmetric ortho-symmetric solution are given. In addition, the existence and uniqueness of the optimal approximation are proved. Numerical methods of the optimal approximation to a given matrix and numerical experiments are described.  相似文献

In this article we consider a general linear vibration problem in variational form. Models for the vibration of systems of elastic bodies can be written in this form. We show how properties of the damping term determines the time differentiability of the solution and establish classes of permissible initial conditions. We study conditions under which a partial differential operator of arbitrary order n in two variables or an ordinary linear differential operator admits a factorization with a first-order factor on the left.The process of factoring consists of recursively solving systems of linear equations subject to certain differential compatibility conditions.In the general case of partial differential operators, it is not necessary to solve a differential equation. In special degenerate cases, such as an ordinary differential operator, the problem eventually reduces to solving some Riccati equation(s). We study a boundary value problem for an equation of mixed type with the Lavrent’ev–Bitsadze operator in the leading part and with variable deviation of the argument in lower-order terms. The general solution of the equation is constructed. We prove a uniqueness theorem without any conditions on the value of the deviation. The problem is uniquely solvable. We derive integral representations of the solutions in closed form in the elliptic and hyperbolic domains.  相似文献

In this paper, the general Caputo-type fractional differential operator introduced by Pr. Anatoly N. Kochubei is applied to the linear theory of viscoelasticity. Firstly, using the general Caputo-type derivative, a generalized linear viscoelastic constitutive equation is proposed for the first time. Secondly, the momentum equation for the plane Couette flow of viscoelastic fluid with the constitutive relation is given as an integrodifferential equation and the analytical solution of the equation is established by employing the separation of variables method. Lastly, for special cases of the general constitutive relation, the analytical solutions are obtained in terms of the Mittag-Leffler functions.  相似文献

We consider four mixed problems for the string vibration equation with zero initial conditions, with a Bitsadze–Samarskii boundary condition of the general form at the right endpoint, and with an inhomogeneous Neumann or Dirichlet condition at the left endpoint. We prove the uniqueness of a generalized solution (in the sense of Il’in) of these problems and obtain an analytic representation of these solutions. The solution of each of the problems is represented in the form of a linear combination of functions constructed from the problem data, and recursion formulas for the coefficients of this linear combination are obtained.  相似文献
