Let f(X) be a polynomial in n variables over the finite field  \mathbbFq\mathbb{F}_{q}. Its Newton polytope Δ(f) is the convex closure in ℝ n of the origin and the exponent vectors (viewed as points in ℝ n ) of monomials in f(X). The minimal dilation of Δ(f) such that it contains at least one lattice point of $\mathbb{Z}_{>0}^{n}$\mathbb{Z}_{>0}^{n} plays a vital pole in the p-adic estimate of the number of zeros of f(X) in  \mathbbFq\mathbb{F}_{q}. Using this fact, we obtain several tight and computational bounds for the dilation which unify and improve a number of previous results in this direction.  相似文献

Let (K, v) be a perfect rank one valued field and let ([`(Kv)],[`(v)]){(\overline{K_{v}},\overline{v})} be the canonical valued field obtained from (K, v) by the unique extension of the valuation [(v)\tilde]{\widetilde{v}} of K v , the completion of K relative to v, to a fixed algebraic closure [`(Kv)]{\overline{K_{v}}} of K v . Let [`(K)]{\overline{K}} be the algebraic closure of K in [`(Kv)]{\overline {K_{v}}}. An algebraic extension L of K, L ì [`(K)]{L\subset\overline{K}}, is said to be a v-adic maximal extension, if [`(v)] | L{\overline{v}\mid_{L}} is the only extension of v to L and L is maximal with this property. In this paper we describe some basic properties of such extensions and we consider them in connection with the v-adic spectral norm on [`(K)]{\overline{K}} and with the absolute Galois groups Gal([`(K)]/K){(\overline{K}/K)} and Gal([`(Kv)] /Kv){(\overline{K_{v}} /K_{v})}. Some other auxiliary results are given, which may be useful for other purposes.  相似文献

A group G is said to be capable if it is isomorphic to the central factor group H/Z(H) for some group H. Let G be a nonabelian group of order p 2 q for distinct primes p and q. In this paper, we compute the nonabelian tensor square of the group G. It is also shown that G is capable if and only if either Z(G) = 1 or p < q and Gab=\mathbbZp×\mathbbZp{G^{\rm ab}=\mathbb{Z}_{p}\times\mathbb{Z}_{p}} .  相似文献

Let B be a set of integers with certain arithmetic properties. We obtain estimates of the best approximation of functions in the space L p , 0 < p <1, by trigonometric polynomials that are constructed by the system {eikx}k ? \mathbbZ\B \{e^{ikx}\}_{k\in \mathbb{Z}\backslash B} . We show that the derivative of an arbitrary rational function R of degree n that increases on the segment [−1, 1] satisfies the following equality for all 0 < ε < 1 and p, q > 1:
|| R ||Lp[ - 1 + \upvarepsilon ,1 - \upvarepsilon ]C ·9n( 1 - 1 / p )\upvarepsilon 1 / p - 1 / q - 1|| R ||Lq[ - 1,1 ], {\left\| {R^{\prime}} \right\|_{{L_p}\left[ { - 1 + {\upvarepsilon },1 - {\upvarepsilon }} \right]}} \leq C \cdot {9^{n\left( {1 - {{1} \left/ {p} \right.}} \right)}}{{\upvarepsilon }^{{{1} \left/ {p} \right.} - {{1} \left/ {q} \right.} - 1}}{\left\| {R} \right\|_{{L_q}\left[ { - 1,1} \right]}},  相似文献

In this paper, we characterize a C *-subalgebra C *(x) of B(H), generated by a single operator x. We show that if x is polar-decomposed by aq, where a is the partial isometry part and q is the positive operator part of x, then C *(x) is *-isomorphic to the groupoid crossed product algebra Aq×a\mathbbGa\mathcal{A}_{q}\times_{\alpha }\mathbb{G}_{a} , where Aq=C*(q)\mathcal{A}_{q}=C^{*}(q) and \mathbbGa\mathbb{G}_{a} is the graph groupoid induced by a partial isometry part a of x.  相似文献

Let M be (2n-1)\mathbbCP2#2n[`(\mathbbCP)]2(2n-1)\mathbb{CP}^{2}\#2n\overline{\mathbb{CP}}{}^{2} for any integer n≥1. We construct an irreducible symplectic 4-manifold homeomorphic to M and also an infinite family of pairwise non-diffeomorphic irreducible non-symplectic 4-manifolds homeomorphic to M. We also construct such exotic smooth structures when M is \mathbbCP2#4[`(\mathbbCP)]2\mathbb{CP}{}^{2}\#4\overline {\mathbb{CP}}{}^{2} or 3\mathbbCP2#k[`(\mathbbCP)]23\mathbb{CP}{}^{2}\#k\overline{\mathbb{CP}}{}^{2} for k=6,8,10.  相似文献

We present a method for computing pth roots using a polynomial basis over finite fields of odd characteristic p, p ≥ 5, by taking advantage of a binomial reduction polynomial. For a finite field extension of our method requires p − 1 scalar multiplications of elements in by elements in . In addition, our method requires at most additions in the extension field. In certain cases, these additions are not required. If z is a root of the irreducible reduction polynomial, then the number of terms in the polynomial basis expansion of z 1/p , defined as the Hamming weight of z 1/p or , is directly related to the computational cost of the pth root computation. Using trinomials in characteristic 3, Ahmadi et al. (Discrete Appl Math 155:260–270, 2007) give is greater than 1 in nearly all cases. Using a binomial reduction polynomial over odd characteristic p, p ≥ 5, we find always.   相似文献

In a Carnot group we prove a new priori bound for the right-invariant horizontal gradient of smooth solutions of a class of quasilinear equations which are modeled on the so-called horizontal p-Laplacian. Exploiting such bound and a regularization procedure based on difference quotients we obtain the C1,aloc{C^{1,\alpha}_{loc}} regularity of weak solutions which possess some special symmetries. For instance, in the first Heisenberg group \mathbbH1{\mathbb{H}^{1}} we obtain such regularity for all weak solutions of the horizontal p-Laplacian, with p ≥ 2, which are of the form u(z, t) = u(|z|, t).  相似文献

This paper is concerned mainly with the logarithmic Bloch space ℬlog  which consists of those functions f which are analytic in the unit disc \mathbbD{\mathbb{D}} and satisfy sup|z| < 1(1-|z|)log\frac11-|z||f(z)| < ¥\sup_{\vert z\vert <1}(1-\vert z\vert )\log\frac{1}{1-\vert z\vert}\vert f^{\prime}(z)\vert <\infty , and the analytic Besov spaces B p , 1≤p<∞. They are all subspaces of the space VMOA. We study the relation between these spaces, paying special attention to the membership of univalent functions in them. We give explicit examples of:
•  A bounded univalent function in $\bigcup_{p>1}B^{p}$\bigcup_{p>1}B^{p} but not in the logarithmic Bloch space.  相似文献

For every prime p>2 we exhibit a Cayley graph on \mathbbZp2p+3\mathbb{Z}_{p}^{2p+3} which is not a CI-graph. This proves that an elementary abelian p-group of rank greater than or equal to 2p+3 is not a CI-group. The proof is elementary and uses only multivariate polynomials and basic tools of linear algebra. Moreover, we apply our technique to give a uniform explanation for the recent works of Muzychuk and Spiga concerning the problem.  相似文献

We obtain a new sharp inequality for the local norms of functions x ∈ L ∞, ∞ r (R), namely,
where φ r is the perfect Euler spline, on the segment [a, b] of monotonicity of x for q ≥ 1 and for arbitrary q > 0 in the case where r = 2 or r = 3. As a corollary, we prove the well-known Ligun inequality for periodic functions x ∈ L r , namely,
for q ∈ [0, 1) in the case where r = 2 or r = 3. Translated from Ukrains’kyi Matematychnyi Zhurnal, Vol. 60, No. 10, pp. 1338–1349, October, 2008.  相似文献

We consider the solutions of refinement equations written in the form
where the vector of functions ϕ = (ϕ 1, ..., ϕ r ) T is unknown, g is a given vector of compactly supported functions on ℝ s , a is a finitely supported sequence of r × r matrices called the refinement mask, and M is an s × s dilation matrix with m = |detM|. Inhomogeneous refinement equations appear in the construction of multiwavelets and the constructions of wavelets on a finite interval. The cascade algorithm with mask a, g, and dilation M generates a sequence ϕ n , n = 1, 2, ..., by the iterative process
from a starting vector of function ϕ 0. We characterize the L p -convergence (0 < p < 1) of the cascade algorithm in terms of the p-norm joint spectral radius of a collection of linear operators associated with the refinement mask. We also obtain a smoothness property of the solutions of the refinement equations associated with the homogeneous refinement equation. Optimal upper bounds are given for the norm of the semigroup (e tV ) t≥0, where V is the classical Volterra operator acting on L p [0,1], 1≤p≤∞. In particular, for every p∈[1,∞] we prove that
$\mathop{\overline{\lim}}_{t\to+\infty}\,\left(t^{-|1/4-1/(2p)|}\|e^{-tV}\|_{L_p}\right)>0.$\mathop{\overline{\lim}}_{t\to+\infty}\,\left(t^{-|1/4-1/(2p)|}\|e^{-tV}\|_{L_p}\right)>0.  相似文献

The Gallant–Lambert–Vanstone (GLV) method is a very efficient technique for accelerating point multiplication on elliptic curves with efficiently computable endomorphisms. Galbraith et al. (J Cryptol 24(3):446–469, 2011) showed that point multiplication exploiting the 2-dimensional GLV method on a large class of curves over \mathbbFp2{\mathbb{F}_{p^2}} was faster than the standard method on general elliptic curves over \mathbbFp{\mathbb{F}_{p}} , and left as an open problem to study the case of 4-dimensional GLV on special curves (e.g., j (E) = 0) over \mathbbFp2{\mathbb{F}_{p^2}} . We study the above problem in this paper. We show how to get the 4-dimensional GLV decomposition with proper decomposed coefficients, and thus reduce the number of doublings for point multiplication on these curves to only a quarter. The resulting implementation shows that the 4-dimensional GLV method on a GLS curve runs in about 0.78 the time of the 2-dimensional GLV method on the same curve and in between 0.78 − 0.87 the time of the 2-dimensional GLV method using the standard method over \mathbbFp{\mathbb{F}_{p}} . In particular, our implementation reduces by up to 27% the time of the previously fastest implementation of point multiplication on x86-64 processors due to Longa and Gebotys (CHES2010).  相似文献

We prove that a complete noncompact orientable stable minimal hypersurface in \mathbbSn+1{\mathbb{S}^{n+1}} (n ≤ 4) admits no nontrivial L 2-harmonic forms. We also obtain that a complete noncompact strongly stable hypersurface with constant mean curvature in \mathbbRn+1{\mathbb{R}^{n+1}} or \mathbbSn+1{\mathbb{S}^{n+1}} (n ≤ 4) admits no nontrivial L 2-harmonic forms. These results are generalized versions of Tanno’s result on stable minimal hypersurfaces in \mathbbRn+1{\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}.  相似文献

Let M{\mathcal M} be a σ-finite von Neumann algebra and \mathfrak A{\mathfrak A} a maximal subdiagonal algebra of M{\mathcal M} with respect to a faithful normal conditional expectation F{\Phi} . Based on Haagerup’s noncommutative L p space Lp(M){L^p(\mathcal M)} associated with M{\mathcal M} , we give a noncommutative version of H p space relative to \mathfrak A{\mathfrak A} . If h 0 is the image of a faithful normal state j{\varphi} in L1(M){L^1(\mathcal M)} such that j°F = j{\varphi\circ \Phi=\varphi} , then it is shown that the closure of {\mathfrak Ah0\frac1p}{\{\mathfrak Ah_0^{\frac1p}\}} in Lp(M){L^p(\mathcal M)} for 1 ≤ p < ∞ is independent of the choice of the state preserving F{\Phi} . Moreover, several characterizations for a subalgebra of the von Neumann algebra M{\mathcal M} to be a maximal subdiagonal algebra are given.  相似文献

Let \mathbbF\mathbb{F} be a monad in the category Comp. We build for each \mathbbF\mathbb{F}-algebra a convexity in general sense (see van de Vel 1993). We investigate properties of such convexities and apply them to prove that the multiplication map of the order-preserving functional monad is soft.  相似文献

Let F ? \mathbbC[ XY ]2 F \in \mathbb{C}{\left[ {X,\,Y} \right]^2} be an étale map of degree deg F = d. An étale map G ? \mathbbC[ X,Y ]2 G \in \mathbb{C}{\left[ {X,Y} \right]^2} is called a d-inverse approximation of F if deg Gd and FG =(X + A(X, Y), Y + B(X, Y)) and GF =(X + C(X, Y), Y + D(X, Y)), where the orders of the four polynomials A, B, C, and D are greater than d. It is a well-known result that every \mathbbC2 {\mathbb{C}^2} -automorphism F of degree d has a d-inverse approximation, namely, F −1. In this paper, we prove that if F is a counterexample of degree d to the two-dimensional Jacobian conjecture, then F has no d-inverse approximation. We also give few consequences of this result.
