It is shown that an n × n matrix of continuous linear maps from a pro-C^*-algebra A to L(H), which verifies the condition of complete positivity, is of the form [V^*TijФ(·)V]^n i,where Ф is a representation of A on a Hilbert space K, V is a bounded linear operator from H to K, and j=1,[Tij]^n i,j=1 is a positive element in the C^*-algebra of all n×n matrices over the commutant of Ф(A) in L(K). This generalizes a result of C. Y.Suen in Proc. Amer. Math. Soc., 112(3), 1991, 709-712. Also, a covariant version of this construction is given.  相似文献

Given anm-tempered strongly continuous action α of ℝ by continuous*-automorphisms of a Frechet*-algebraA, it is shown that the enveloping ↡-C *-algebraE(S(ℝ, A, α)) of the smooth Schwartz crossed productS(ℝ,A , α) of the Frechet algebra A of C-elements ofA is isomorphic to the Σ-C *-crossed productC *(ℝ,E(A), α) of the enveloping Σ-C *-algebraE(A) ofA by the induced action. WhenA is a hermitianQ-algebra, one getsK-theory isomorphismRK *(S(ℝ, A, α)) =K *(C *(ℝ,E(A), α) for the representableK-theory of Frechet algebras. An application to the differential structure of aC *-algebra defined by densely defined differential seminorms is given.  相似文献

Let A, B be two archimedean ℓ-algebras and let U,V be two positive linear maps from A to B. We call that the couple (U,V) is separating with respect to A and B if |a||b| = 0 in A implies |U (a)||V (b)| = 0 in B. In this paper, we prove that if A is an f-algebra with unit elment e, if B is an ℓ-algebra and if (U,V) is a separating couple with respect to A and B then (U ∼∼,V ∼∼), where U ∼∼ (resp V ∼∼) is the bi-adjoint of U (resp of V), is again a separating couple with respect to the order continuous order biduals (A′)′ n and (B′)′ n of A and B respectively furnished with their Arens products respectively. Moreover, in the case where B′ separates the points of B, we give a characterization of any separating couple with respect to A and B.   相似文献

Given a C*-normed algebra A which is either a Banach *-algebra or a Frechet *-algebra, we study the algebras Ω A and Ωε A obtained by taking respectively the projective limit and the inductive limit of Banach *-algebras obtained by completing the universal graded differential algebra Ω*A of abstract non-commutative differential forms over A. Various quantized integrals on Ω A induced by a K-cycle on A are considered. The GNS-representation of Ω A defined by a d-dimensional non-commutative volume integral on a d +-summable K-cycle on A is realized as the representation induced by the left action of A on Ω*A. This supplements the representation A on the space of forms discussed by Connes (Ch. VI.1, Prop. 5, p. 550 of [C]).  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that if R is the ring of integers in a number field F, A any R-order in a semisimple F-algebra, then K2n(A), G2n(A) are finite groups for all positive integers n. Hence, even dimensional higher K- and G-groups of integral grouprings of finite groups are finite. We also show that in odd dimensions, SKn of integral and p-adic integral grouprings of finite p-groups are also finite p-groups (Received: August 2005)  相似文献

We endow any proper A-convex H*-algebra (E, τ) with a locally pre-C*-topology. The latter is equivalent to that introduced by the pre C*-norm given by Ptàk function when (E, τ) is a Q-algebra. We also prove that the algebra of complex numbers is the unique proper locally A-convex H*-algebra which is barrelled and Q-algebra.   相似文献

Let R be a Dedekind domain with quotient field K and let Λ be an R-order in a finite-dimensional K-algebra A such that A/ Rad A is separable. We show that if A is not semisimple, then there exists a maximal R-order Δ in a skew-field such that the category Λ-Lat of R-projective Λ-modules admits a full module category Δ-Mod as a subfactor. __________ Translated from Fundamentalnaya i Prikladnaya Matematika, Vol. 11, No. 3, pp. 173–187, 2005.  相似文献

Let F be a field, and let R be a finitely-generated F-algebra, which is a domain with quadratic growth. It is shown that either the center of R is a finitely-generated F-algebra or R satisfies a polynomial identity (is PI) or else R is algebraic over F. Let rR be not algebraic over F and let C be the centralizer of r. It is shown that either the quotient ring of C is a finitely-generated division algebra of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension 1 or R is PI.  相似文献

Let (G, I, N, S) be an affine topological Tits system, and let Γ be a torsion-free cocompact lattice in G. This article studies the coinvariants H 0(Γ; C(Ω,Z)), where Ω is the Furstenberg boundary of G. It is shown that the class [1] of the identity function in H 0(Γ; C(Ω, Z)) has finite order, with explicit bounds for the order. A similar statement applies to the K 0 group of the boundary crossed product C *-algebra C(Ω)Γ. If the Tits system has type ? 2, exact computations are given, both for the crossed product algebra and for the reduced group C *-algebra.  相似文献

Given a map f: XY and a Nielsen root class, there is a number associated to this root class, which is the minimal number of points among all root classes which are H-related to the given one for all homotopies H of the map f. We show that for maps between closed surfaces it is possible to deform f such that all the Nielsen root classes have cardinality equal to the minimal number if and only if either N R[f]≤1, or N R[f]>1 and f satisfies the Wecken property. Here N R[f] denotes the Nielsen root number. The condition “f satisfies the Wecken property is known to be equivalent to |deg(f)|≤N R[f]/(1−χ(M 2)−χ(M 10/(1−χ(M 2)) for maps between closed orientable surfaces. In the case of nonorientable surfaces the condition is A(f)≤N R[f]/(1−χ(M 2)−χ(M 2)/(1−χ(M 2)). Also we construct, for each integer n≥3, an example of a map f: K n N from an n-dimensionally connected complex of dimension n to an n-dimensional manifold such that we cannot deform f in a way that all the Nielsen root classes reach the minimal number of points at the same time.  相似文献

We deal with unbounded dually residuated lattices that generalize pseudo MV-algebras in such a way that every principal order-ideal is a pseudo MV-algebra. We describe the connections of these generalized pseudo MV-algebras to generalized pseudo effect algebras, which allows us to represent every generalized pseudo MV-algebra A by means of the positive cone of a suitable ℓ-group G A . We prove that the lattice of all (normal) ideals of A and the lattice of all (normal) convex ℓ-subgroups of G A are isomorphic. We also introduce the concept of Archimedeanness and show that every Archimedean generalized pseudo MV-algebra is commutative. Let V be a closed surface, H⊑π1(V) a subgroup of finite index l and D=[A 1,...,A m ] a collection of partitions of a given number d≥2 with positive defect v(D). When does there exist a connected branched covering f:W→V of order d with branch data D and fWV It has been shown by geometric arguments [4] that, for l=1 and a surface V different from the sphere and the projective plane, the corresponding branched covering exists (the data D is realizable) if and only if the data D fulfills the Hurwitz congruence v(D)э0 mod 2. In the case l>1, the corresponding branched covering exists if and only if v(D)э0 mod 2, the number d/l is an integer, and each partition A i ∈D splits into the union of l partitions of the number d/l. Here we give a purely algebraic proof of this result following the approach of Hurwitz [11]. The realization problem for the projective plane and l=1 has been solved in [7,8]. The case of the sphere is treated in [1, 2, 12, 7].  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to define the localization LM n -algebra of an LM n —algebra L with respect to a topology F on L; in Section 5 we prove that the maximal LM n -algebra of fractions (defined in [3]) and the LM n -algebra of fractions relative to an Λ—closed system (defined in Section 2) are LM n -algebras of localization.  相似文献

LetA be the transformation groupC *-algebra associated with an arbitrary orientation-preserving homeomorphism of . ThisC *-algebra contains an infinite family of projections, called Rieffel projections, each of which generates theK 0-groupK 0(A). Although these projections must beK-theoretically equivalent, it is easy to see that most are not Murray-von Neumann equivalent. The mystery of how large the matrix algebra must be to implement theK-theory equivalence, is solved by explicitly constructing the equivalence in the smallest possible algebra:A with unit adjoined.Partially supported by NSF Grant DMS 8901923.  相似文献

Assume that each completely irrational noncommutative torus is realized as an inductive limit of circle algebras, and that for a completely irrational noncommutative torus Aw of rank m there are a completely irrational noncommutative torus Aρ of rank m and a positive integer d such that tr(Aw)=1/d.tr(Aρ).It is proved that the set of all C^*-algebras of sections of locally trivial C^*-algebra bundles over S^2 with fibres Aω has a group sturcture, denoted by π1^s(Aut(Aω)),which is isomorphic to Zif Ed>1 and {0} if d>1.Let Bcd be a cd-homogeneous C^*-algebra over S^2×T^2 of which no non-trivial matrix algebra can be factored out.The spherical noncommutative torus Sρ^cd is defined by twisting C^*(T2×Z^m-2) in Bcd ×C^*(Z^m-3) by a totally skew multiplier ρ on T^2×Z^m-2。It is shown that Sρ^cd×Mρ∞ is isomorphic to C(S^2)×C^*(T^2×Z^m-2,ρ)× Mcd(C)×Mρ∞ if and only if the set of prime factors of cd is a subset of the set of prime factors of p.  相似文献

LetFK be a field extension,A be aK-algebra. It is proved that, in general, GK dim F A≥GK dim K A+tr F (K). For commutative algebras or Noetherian P.I. algebras, the equality holds. Two examples are also constructed to show that: (i) there exists an algebraA such that GK dim F A=GK dim K A+tr F (K)+1; (ii) there exists an algebraic extensionFK and aK-algebraA such that GK dim F A=∞, but GK dim K A<∞.  相似文献

We develop the general theory for a new functor K e on the category of C *-algebras. The extremal K-set, K e (A), of a C *-algebra A is defined by means of homotopy classes of extreme partial isometries. It contains K 1 (A) and admits a partially defined addition extending the addition in K 1 (A), so that we have an action of K 1 (A) on K e (A). We show how this functor relates to K 0 and K 1, and how it can be used as a carrier of information relating the various K-groups of ideals and quotients of A. The extremal K-set is then used to extend the classical theory of index for Fredholm and semi-Fredholm operators.  相似文献

Let T = (T(t))t≥0 be a bounded C-regularized semigroup generated by A on a Banach space X and R(C) be dense in X. We show that if there is a dense subspace Y of X such that for every x ∈ Y, σu(A, Cx), the set of all points λ ∈ iR to which (λ - A)^-1 Cx can not be extended holomorphically, is at most countable and σr(A) N iR = Ф, then T is stable. A stability result for the case of R(C) being non-dense is also given. Our results generalize the work on the stability of strongly continuous senfigroups.  相似文献

UniversalC*-algebrasC*(A) exist for certain topological *-algebras called algebras with aC*-enveloping algebra. A Frechet *-algebraA has aC*-enveloping algebra if and only if every operator representation ofA mapsA into bounded operators. This is proved by showing that every unbounded operator representation π, continuous in the uniform topology, of a topological *-algebraA, which is an inverse limit of Banach *-algebras, is a direct sum of bounded operator representations, thereby factoring through the enveloping pro-C*-algebraE(A) ofA. Given aC*-dynamical system (G,A,α), any topological *-algebraB containingC c (G,A) as a dense *-subalgebra and contained in the crossed productC*-algebraC*(G,A,α) satisfiesE(B) =C*(G,A,α). IfG = ℝ, ifB is an α-invariant dense Frechet *-subalgebra ofA such thatE(B) =A, and if the action α onB ism-tempered, smooth and by continuous *-automorphisms: then the smooth Schwartz crossed productS(ℝ,B,α) satisfiesE(S(ℝ,B,α)) =C*(ℝ,A,α). WhenG is a Lie group, theC -elementsC (A), the analytic elementsC ω(A) as well as the entire analytic elementsC є(A) carry natural topologies making them algebras with aC*-enveloping algebra. Given a non-unitalC*-algebraA, an inductive system of idealsI α is constructed satisfyingA =C*-ind limI α; and the locally convex inductive limit ind limI α is anm-convex algebra with theC*-enveloping algebraA and containing the Pedersen idealK a ofA. Given generatorsG with weakly Banach admissible relationsR, we construct universal topological *-algebraA(G, R) and show that it has aC*-enveloping algebra if and only if (G, R) isC*-admissible.  相似文献

It can reflect the nature of approximate reasoning and meet more application expectations to design the approximate reasoning matching schemes and the corresponding algorithms with similarity relation Q instead of equivalence relation R. In this paper, based on similarity relation Q, we introduce type V matching scheme and corresponding approximate reasoning type V Q-algorithm with the given input A* and knowledge AB. Besides, we present completeness of type V and its perfection on knowledge base K in Q-logic ℂ Q in this paper.  相似文献
