The deformed Hermitian-Yang-Mills equation on almost Hermitian manifolds

In this paper,we consider the deformed Hermitian-Yang-Mills equation on closed almost Hermitian manifolds.In the case of the hypercritical phase,we derive a priori estimates under the existence of an admissible C-subsolution.As an application,we prove the existence of solutions for the deformed Hermitian-Yang-Mills equation under the condition of existence of a supersolution.     

一类非散度型非线性退化抛物方程解的存在性(英文)

In this paper, we discuss the existence of weak solutions to the initial and boundary value problem of a class of nonlinear degenerate parabolic equations in non-divergence form. Applying the method of parabolic regularization, we prove the existence of weak solutions to the problem. By carefully analyzing the approximate solutions to the problem, we make a series of estimates to the solutions and prove the weak convergence of the approximation solution sequence. Finally we testify the existence of weak solutions to the problem.     

EXISTENCE OF PERIODIC SOLUTIONS TO A SYSTEM WITH FUNCTIONAL RESPONSE ON TIME SCALES

This paper investigates the existence of periodic solutions of a three-species food-chain diffusive system with Beddington-DeAngelis functional responses and time delays in a two-patch environment on time scales. By using a continuation theorem based on coincidence degree theory, we obtain sufficient criteria for the existence of periodic solutions for the system. Moreover, when the time scale T is chosen as R or Z, the existence of the periodic solutions of the corresponding continuous and discrete models follows. Therefore, the method is unified to provide the existence of the desired solutions for continuous differential equations and discrete difference equations.     

Variance minimization for continuous-time Markov decision processes: two approaches

This paper studies the limit average variance criterion for continuous-time Markov decision processes in Polish spaces. Based on two approaches, this paper proves not only the existence of solutions to the variance minimization optimality equation and the existence of a variance minimal policy that is canonical, but also the existence of solutions to the two variance minimization optimality inequalities and the existence of a variance minimal policy which may not be canonical. An example is given to illustrate all of our conditions.

Global existence and blow-up of solutions to a nonlocal evolution p-laplace system with nonlinear boundary conditions

In this paper, the authors discuss the global existence and blow-up of the solution to an evolution p-Laplace system with nonlinear sources and nonlinear boundary condition. The authors first establish the local existence of solutions, then give a necessary and sufficient condition on the global existence of the positive solution.     

GLOBAL EXISTENCE OF STRONG SOLUTIONS OF NAVIER-STOKES EQUATIONS WITH NON-NEWTONIAN POTENTIAL FOR ONE-DIMENSIONAL ISENTROPIC COMPRESSIBLE FLUIDS

The aims of this paper are to discuss global existence and uniqueness of strong solution for a class of isentropic compressible navier-Stokes equations with non-Newtonian in one-dimensional bounded intervals. We prove two global existence results on strong solutions of isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes equations. The first result shows only the existence. And the second one shows the existence and uniqueness result based on the first result, but the uniqueness requires some compatibility condition.     

Boundary value problems of discrete generalized Emden-Fowler equation

By using the critical point theory, some sufficient conditions for the existence of the solutions to the boundary value problems of a discrete generalized Emden-Fowler equation are obtained. In a special case, a sharp condition is obtained for the existence of the boundary value problems of the above equation. For a linear case, by the discrete variational theory, a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence, uniqueness and multiplicity of the solutions is also established.     

The high-order SPDEs driven by multi-parameter fractional noises

The existence and uniqueness of the solutions are proved for a class of fourth-order stochastic heat equations driven by multi-parameter fractional noises. Furthermore the regularity of the solutions is studied for the stochastic equations and the existence of the density of the law of the solution is obtained.     

Heat flow of harmonic maps from noncompact manifolds

The global existence of the heat flow for harmonic maps from noncompact manifolds is considered. When L^m norm of the gradient of initial data is small, the existence of a global solution is proved.     

Almost Periodic Solutions of Nonlinear Second Order Differential Equations

We provide existence results for almost periodic solutions of nonlinear second order ordinary differential equations. The results extend existence results for periodic solutions of periodic equations, where the existence of periodic sub and supersolutions implied the existence of periodic solutions.     

System of Generalized Vector Quasi-Equilibrium Problems with Applications to Fixed Point Theorems for a Family of Nonexpansive Multivalued Mappings

In this paper, we establish the existence theorems of the generalized vector quasi-equilibrium problems. From some existence theorem, we establish fixed point theorems for a family of lower semicontinuous or nonexpansive multivalued mappings. We also obtain the existence theorems of system of mixed generalized vector variational-like inequalities and existence theorems of the Debreu vector equilibrium problems and the Nash vector equilibrium problems.

Variational inclusions problems with applications to Ekeland’s variational principle,fixed point and optimization problems

In this paper, we prove the existence theorems of two types of systems of variational inclusions problem. From these existence results, we establish Ekeland’s variational principle on topological vector space, existence theorems of common fixed point, existence theorems for the semi-infinite problems, mathematical programs with fixed points and equilibrium constraints, and vector mathematical programs with variational inclusions constraints.     

Square of countably compact groups without non-trivial convergent sequences

We show in ZFC that the existence of a countably compact Abelian group without non-trivial convergent sequences implies the existence of a countably compact group whose square is not countably compact.This improves a result obtained by van Douwen in 1980: the existence of a countably compact Boolean group without non-trivial convergent sequences implies the existence of two countably compact groups whose product is not countably compact in ZFC.Hart and van Mill showed in 1991 the existence of a countably compact group whose square is not countably compact under Martin's Axiom for countable posets. We show that the existence of such an example does not depend on some form of Martin's Axiom.     

Existence of solutions of non-autonomous second order functional differential equations with infinite delay

In this paper the existence of solutions of a non-autonomous abstract retarded functional differential equation of second order with infinite delay is considered. Assuming the existence of an evolution operator corresponding to the associate abstract Cauchy problem of second order, we establish the existence of mild solutions of the functional equation. Furthermore, we study the existence of classical solutions of the abstract Cauchy problem of second order and we apply these results to establish the existence of classical solutions of the functional equation. Finally, we apply our results to study the existence of solutions of the non-autonomous wave equation with delay.     

Traveling waves in delayed lattice dynamical systems with competition interactions

This paper deals with the existence of traveling wave solutions of a class of delayed system of lattice differential equations, which formulates the invasion process when two competitive species are invaders. Employing the comparison principle of competitive systems, a new cross-iteration scheme is given to establish the existence of traveling wave solutions. More precisely, by the cross-iteration, the existence of traveling wave solutions is reduced to the existence of an admissible pair of upper and lower solutions. To illustrate our main results, we prove the existence of traveling wave solutions in two delayed two-species competition systems with spatial discretization. Our results imply that the delay appeared in the interspecific competition terms do not affect the existence of traveling wave solutions.

Existence of equilibria for generalized games without paracompactness

In this paper, we first prove an existence theorem of maximal elements without any paracompactness. Then, we establish an existence theorem of equilibrium points of generalized games with infinite many players and without any paracompactness, by applying our maximal element existence theorem. Our equilibrium existence theorem answers the two questions raised by Kim [6] in the affirmative.     

An Elementary Approach to the Daniell-Kolmogorov Theorem and Some Related Results

We give a short elementary proof of the Daniell-Kolmogorov existence theorem for probability measures on product spaces, assuming nothing but the existence of Lebesgue measure on the unit interval. Related approaches are used to prove the existence of regular conditional distributions directly on Polish spaces, and to establish the existence of random measures and sets with given finite-dimensional distributions or hitting probabilities, respectively.
