It is well known that certain isotopy classes of oseudo-Anosov maos on a Riemann surface S of non-excluded type can be defined through Dehn twists tα and tβ along simple closed geodesics α and β on S,respectively. Let G be the corresponding Fuchsian group acting on the hyperbolic plane H so that H/G≌S.For any point α∈S,define S = S/{α}.In this article, the author gives explicit parabolic elements of G from which he constructs pseudo-Anosov classes on S that can be projected to a given pseudo-Anosov class on S obtained from Thurston's construction.  相似文献

We denote by -↑Ef/(a) = {z ∈ D : f(z) = a, ignoring multiplicity} the set of all distinct α-points of f. Let F be a family of holomorphic functions on D. If there exist three finite values a, b(≠ O,α) and c(≠ O) such that for every f ∈F, -↑Ef′/(0) Lontain in -↑Ef(α) and -↑Ef′ (b) Lontain in -↑Ef(c), then F is a normal family on D.  相似文献

In this paper, we have decomposed an AG-groupoid. Let S be an AG-groupoid with left identity and a relation γ be defined on S as: aγb if and only if there exist positive integers m and n such that bm ∈ ( Sa)S and a n ∈ ( Sb)S for all a and b in S. We have proved that S/γ is a maximal separative semilattice homomorphic image of S. Every AG-groupoid S is uniquely expressible as a semilattice Y of archimedean AG-groupoids Sα (α∈ Y ). The semilattice Y is isomorphic to S/γ and the S α (α∈ Y ) are the equivalence classes of S mod γ.  相似文献

A 2-cell embedding f : X → S of a graph X into a closed orientable surface S can be described combinatorially by a pair M = (X;ρ ) called a map, where ρ is a product of disjoint cycle permutations each of which is the permutation of the arc set of X initiated at the same vertex following the orientation of S . It is well known that the automorphism group of M acts semi-regularly on the arc set of X and if the action is regular, then the map M and the embedding f are called regular. Let p and q be primes. Du et al. [J. Algebraic Combin., 19, 123-141 (2004)] classified the regular maps of graphs of order pq . In this paper all pairwise non-isomorphic regular maps of graphs of order 4 p are constructed explicitly and the genera of such regular maps are computed. As a result, there are twelve sporadic and six infinite families of regular maps of graphs of order 4 p ; two of the infinite families are regular maps with the complete bipartite graphs K2p,2p as underlying graphs and the other four infinite families are regular balanced Cayley maps on the groups Z4p , Z22 × Zp and D4p .  相似文献

Suppose F is a field different from F2, the field with two elements. Let Mn(F) and Sn(F) be the space of n × n full matrices and the space of n ×n symmetric matrices over F, respectively. For any G1, G2 ∈ {Sn(F), Mn(F)}, we say that a linear map f from G1 to G2 is inverse-preserving if f(X)^-1 = f(X^-1) for every invertible X ∈ G1. Let L (G1, G2) denote the set of all inverse-preserving linear maps from G1 to G2. In this paper the sets .L(Sn(F),Mn(F)), L(Sn(F),Sn(F)), L (Mn(F),Mn(F)) and L(Mn (F), Sn (F)) are characterized.  相似文献

Let S be a Riemann surface with genus p and n punctures. Assume that 3p - 3 n > 0 and n ≥ 1. Let a be a puncture of S and let (~S) = S ∪ {a}. Then all mapping classes in the mapping class group Mods that fixes the puncture a can be projected to mapping classes of Mod(~S) under the forgetful map. In this paper the author studies the mapping classes in Mods that can be projected to a given hyperbolic mapping class in Mod(~S).  相似文献

Let f be a Maass eigenform that is a new form of level N on Γ0(N),with Laplace eigenvalue 1/4 + νf2 . Then,all its Fourier coefficients {λf(n)}∞n=1 are real,and we may normalize so that λf (1) = 1. It is proved,in this paper,that the first sign change in the sequence {λf(n)}n∞=1 occurs at some n satisfying n《{(3+|νf|2)N }1/2-δ and (n,N)=1. This generalizes the previous results for holomorphic Hecke eigenforms.  相似文献

Let the set of generalized polynomials having bounded coeffiicients be K={p=sum from j=1 to n α_j g_j α_j≤α_j≤β,j=1, 2,…, n}, where g_1, g_2,…, g_n are linearly independent continuous functions defined on theinterval [a,b], α_j β_j are extended real numbers satisfying α_j< ∞, β_j>-∞, andα_j≤β_j. Assumethat f is a continuous function defined on a compact set X [a, b]. This paper gives the characterizationtheorem for p being the best uniform approximation to f from K, and points out that the characteri-zation theorem can be applied in calculating the approximate solution of best approximation to f fromK.  相似文献

We use ↓USC(S) and ↓C(5) to denote the families of the regions below of all upper semi-continuous maps and of the regions below of all continuous maps from S to I and ↓C0(S) ={↓f∈↓C(S):f(0)=0}.↓USC(S) endowed with the Vietoris topology is a topological space. A pair of topological spaces (X, Y) means that X is a topological space and Y is its subspace. Two pairs of topological spaces (X, Y) and (A, B) are called pair-homeomorphic (≈) if there exists a homeomorphism h:X→A from X onto A such that h{Y) = B. It is proved that, (↓USC(S), ↓C0(S))≈(Q,s) and (↓USC(5), ↓C(5)\↓C0(S))≈(Q,c0), where Q =[-1, l]ω is the Hilbert cube and s=(-1,1)ω, c0 = {(xn)∈Q:lim n→∞ xn=0}. Let M be a compact connected 3-submanifold of the 3-sphere S~3 with one boundary component F such that there exists a collection of n pairwise disjoint connected orientable surfaces S = {S_1, ···, S_n} properly embedded in M, ?S = {?S_1, ···, ?S_n}is a complete curve system on F. We call S a complete surface system for M, and ?S a complete spanning curve system for M. In the present paper, the authors show that the equivalent classes of complete spanning curve systems for M are unique, that is, any complete spanning curve system for M is equivalent to ?S. As an application of the result,it is shown that the image of the natural homomorphism from the mapping class group M(M) to M(F) is a subgroup of the handlebody subgroup Hn.  相似文献

Let D denote the open unit disk and $ f:D \to \bar {{\bf C}}$ be meromorphic and injective in D . Especially, we consider such f which have an expansion $$ f(z) = z + \sum \limits_{n=2}^{\infty }a_n(\;f\,)z^n $$ in a neighbourhood of the origin and map D onto a domain whose complement with respect to $\bar {{\bf C}}$ is convex. Let the set of these functions be denoted by Co . We fix | f m 1 ( X )| for f ] Co and determine the inner and outer radius of the ring domain which is the domain of variability of a 2 ( f ) for such f . Further, it is shown that f ] Co implies that $$ \phi (z) = z+2 {f'(z) \over f''(z)}$$ is holomorphic in D and maps D into itself.
