Let R be a ring with an endomorphism α and an α-derivation δ. We introduce the notions of symmetric α-rings and weak symmetric α-rings which are generalizations of symmetric rings and weak symmetric rings, respectively, discuss the relations between symmetricα-rings and related rings and investigate their extensions. We prove that if R is a reduced ring and α(1) = 1, then R is a symmetric α-ring if and only if R[x]/(x n) is a symmetric ˉα-ring for any positive integer n. Moreover, it is proven that if R is a right Ore ring, α an automorphism of R and Q(R) the classical right quotient ring of R, then R is a symmetric α-ring if and only if Q(R) is a symmetric ˉα-ring. Among others we also show that if a ring R is weakly 2-primal and(α, δ)-compatible, then R is a weak symmetric α-ring if and only if the Ore extension R[x; α, δ] of R is a weak symmetric ˉα-ring.     

On Weakly Semicommutative Rings

A ring R is said to be weakly semicommutative if for any a,b∈R, ab=0 implies aRb（？）Nil（R）,where Nil（R） is the set of all nilpotent elements in R. In this note,we clarify the relationship between weakly semicommutative rings and NI-rings by proving that the notion of a weakly semicommutative ring is a proper generalization of NI-rings.We say that a ring R is weakly 2-primal if the set of nilpotent elements in R coincides with its Levitzki radical,and prove that if R is a weakly 2-primal ring which satisfiesα-condition for an endomorphismαof R（that is,ab=0（？）aα（b）=0 where a,b∈R） then the skew polynomial ring R[x;α] is a weakly 2-primal ring,and that if R is a ring and I is an ideal of R such that I and R/I are both weakly semicommutative then R is weakly semicommutative. Those extend the main results of Liang et al.2007（Taiwanese J.Math.,11（5）（2007）, 1359-1368） considerably.Moreover,several new results about weakly semicommutative rings and NI-rings are included.     

Homological behavior of idempotent subalgebras and Ext algebras

Let A be a(left and right) Noetherian ring that is semiperfect. Let e be an idempotent of A and consider the ring Γ :=(1-e)A(1-e) and the semi-simple right A-module Se := e A/e rad A. In this paper, we investigate the relationship between the global dimensions of A and Γ, by using the homological properties of Se. More precisely, we consider the Yoneda ring Y(e) := Ext_A~*(Se, Se) of e. We prove that if Y(e) is Artinian of finite global dimension, then A has finite global dimension if and only if so does Γ. We also investigate the situation where both A and Γ have finite global dimension. When A is Koszul and finite dimensional, this implies that Y(e) has finite global dimension. We end the paper with a reduction technique to compute the Cartan determinant of Artin algebras. We prove that if Y(e) has finite global dimension, then the Cartan determinants of A and Γ coincide. This provides a new way to approach the long-standing Cartan determinant conjecture.     

Characterization of Gromov hyperbolic short graphs

To decide when a graph is Gromov hyperbolic is,in general,a very hard problem.In this paper,we solve this problem for the set of short graphs(in an informal way,a graph G is r-short if the shortcuts in the cycles of G have length less than r):an r-short graph G is hyperbolic if and only if S9r(G)is finite,where SR(G):=sup{L(C):C is an R-isometric cycle in G}and we say that a cycle C is R-isometric if dC(x,y)≤dG(x,y)+R for every x,y∈C.     

幺半群上的强α-自反环（英文）

For a monoid M and an endomorphism α of a ring R, we introduce the notion of strongly M-α-reflexive rings and study its properties. For an u.p.-monoid M and a right Ore ring R with its classical right quotient ring Q, we prove that R is strongly M-α-reflexive if and only if Q is strongly M-α-reflexive, where R is α-rigid, α is an epimorphism of R. The relationship between some special subrings of upper triangular matrix rings and strongly M-α-reflexive rings is also investigated. Several known results similar to strongly M-α-reversible rings are obtained.

Let R be an associative ring with identity.R is said to be semilocal if R/J(R)is(semisimple)Artinian,where J(R)denotes the Jacobson radical of R.In this paper,we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the group ring RG to be semilocal,where G is a locally finite nilpotent group.     

Graphs of nonsolvable groups with four degree-vertices

Let G be a finite group. The degree(vertex) graph Γ(G) attached to G is a character degree graph.Its vertices are the degrees of the nonlinear irreducible complex characters of G, and different vertices m, n are adjacent if the greatest common divisor(m, n) 1. In this paper, we classify all graphs with four vertices that occur as Γ(G) for nonsolvable groups G.     

斜Armendariz矩阵环

Let R be a ring.We show in the paper that the subring Un(R) of the upper triangular matrix ring Tn(R) is α-skew Armendariz if and only if R is α-rigid,also it is maximal in some non α-skew Armendariz rings,where α is a ring endomorphism of R with α(1) = 1.

每一个元素都是左零因子之环

本文引进左(右)零因子环的概念,它们是一类无单位元的环.我们称一个环为左(右)零因子环,如果对于任何 $a \in R$,都有$r_R (a) \neq 0~(l_R(a)\neq 0)$,而称一个环为强左(右)零因子环,如果$r_R(R)\neq 0~(l_R(R)\neq 0)$.Camillo和Nielson称一个环$R$为右有限零化环(简称RFA-环),如果$R$的每一个有限子集都有非零的右零化子.本文给出左零因子环的一些基本例子,探讨强左零因子环和RFA-环的扩张,并给出它们的等价刻画.     

半交换环的一个推广研究

In this paper, a generalization of the class of semicommutative rings is investigated.A ring R is called left GWZI if for any a ∈ R, l(a) is a GW-ideal of R. We prove that a ring R is left GWZI if and only if S3(R) is left GWZI if and only if Vn(R) is left GWZI for any n ≥ 2.     

拟-中心半交换环

环$R$称为拟-中心半交换的(简称QCS环)如果对$a,b\in R$, $ab=0$蕴含$aRb\subseteq Q(R)$, 其中$Q(R)$为$R$的拟中心.证明了如果$R$ 为QCS环, 那么$R$的幂零元集恰好是它的Wedderburn根, 且对$n\geq 2$, 上三角矩阵环$R=T_n(S)$ 是QCS 环当且仅当$n=2$ 且$S$ 是duo 环, 而$T_{2k+2}^k$是QCS环如果$R$是约化的duo环.

A *-ring is called *-clean if every element of the ring can be written as the sum of a projection and a unit. For an integer n ≥ 1, we call a *-ring R n-*-clean if for any a ∈ R,a = p + u1 + ··· + unwhere p is a projection and ui are units for all i. Basic properties of n-*-clean rings are considered, and a number of illustrative examples of 2-*-clean rings which are not *-clean are provided. In addition, extension properties of n-*-clean rings are discussed.

Let R ■ T be an extension of commutative rings.T is called w-linked over R if T as an R-module is a w-module.In the case of R ■ T ■ Q 0 （R）,T is called a w-linked overring of R.As a generalization of Wang-McCsland-Park-Chang Theorem,we show that if R is a reduced ring,then R is a w-Noetherian ring with w-dim（R） 1 if and only if each w-linked overring T of R is a w-Noetherian ring with w-dim（T ） 1.In particular,R is a w-Noetherian ring with w-dim（R） = 0 if and only if R is an Artinian ring.

A ring R is said to be π-semicommutative if a, b ∈ R satisfy ab = 0 then there exists a positive integer n such that anRbn= 0. We study the properties of π-semicommutative rings and the relationship between such rings and other related rings. In particular, we answer a question on left GWZI rings negatively.
