By End(G) and hEnd(G) we denote the set of endomorphisms and half-strong endomorphisms of a graph G respectively. A graph G is said to be E-H-unretractive if End(G) = hEnd(G). A general characterization of an E-H-unretractive graph seems to be difficult. In this paper, bipartite graphs with E-H-unretractivity are characterized explicitly.  相似文献

The concepts of the scale and tidy subgroups for an automorphism of a totally disconnected locally compact group were defined in seminal work by George A. Willis in the 1990s, and recently generalized to the case of endomorphisms (G. A.Willis, Math. Ann. 361 (2015), 403–442). We show that central facts concerning the scale, tidy subgroups, quotients, and contraction groups of automorphisms extend to the case of endomorphisms. In particular, we obtain results concerning the domain of attraction around an invariant closed subgroup.  相似文献

Let (G, F) be a fibered group and let Γ be a semigroup of endomorphisms of G such that {id.}? Γ and σ(A) ? A for σ ∈Γ, A ∈F. In this paper we investigate the structure of fibered groups (G, F, Γ) which have a non-trivial center. We start with general considerations and conclude with the construction of a large class of examples. In the situation in which Γ ≠{id.} much structure can be obtained. It is proved that if all the endomorphisms of a reduced torsion-free weakly transitive Abelian group are bounded right-nilpotent, then its ring of endomorphisms is commutative. The ring of endomorphisms of a torsion-free Abelian group with periodic group of automorphisms and Engel ring of endomorphisms is also commutative.  相似文献
