In this paper, we study the existence of positive solutions for singular super-linear m-point boundary value problems of 2nth-order ordinary differential equations. A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of C2n−2[0,1] positive solutions as well as C2n−1[0,1] positive solutions is given by means of the fixed point theorems on cones.  相似文献

In this work we combine perturbation arguments and variational methods to study the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for a class of singular p-Laplacian problems. In the first two theorems we prove the existence of solutions in the sense of distributions. By strengthening the hypotheses, in the third and last result, we establish the existence of two ordered positive weak solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence of positive solutions for the p-Laplacian involving a p-gradient term. Due to the non-variational structure and the fact that the nonlinearity may be critical or supercritical, the variational method is no longer valid. Taking advantage of global C1,α estimates and the Liouville type theorems, we employ the blow-up argument to obtain the a priori estimates on solutions, and finally obtain the existence result based on the Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem.  相似文献

In this paper we study the existence of positive solutions for nonlinear problems driven by the p-Laplacian or more generally, by multivalued p-Laplacian-like operators. Both problems have a nonsmooth locally Lipschitz potential (hemivariational inequalities). Using variational methods based on the nonsmooth critical point theory, we prove two existence results with the p-Laplacian and multivalued p-Laplacian-like operators.  相似文献

In this paper we study the existence of positive solutions for a nonlinear Dirichlet problem involving the m-Laplacian. The nonlinearity considered depends on the first derivatives; in such case, variational methods cannot be applied. So, we make use of topological methods to prove the existence of solutions. We combine a blow-up argument and a Liouville-type theorem to obtain a priori estimates. Some Harnack-type inequalities which are needed in our reasonings are also proved.  相似文献

This paper investigates the existence of absolute optimal solutions for a partition P in continuous and quasiconcave games. We show that the P-consistency property introduced in the paper, together with the quasiconcavity and continuity of payoffs, permits the existence of P-absolute optimal solutions in games with compact and convex strategy spaces. The P-consistency property is a general condition that cannot be dispensed with for the existence of P-absolute optimal solutions. We also characterize the existence of P-absolute optimal solutions by providing necessary and sufficient conditions. Moreover, we suggest an algorithm for efficiently computing P-absolute optimal solutions.  相似文献
