The purpose of this paper is to establish some theorems on convergence of a sequence in complete metric spaces. As applications, some results of Ghosh and Debnath [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 207 (1997) 96-103], Kirk [Ann. Univ. Mariae Curie-Sk?odowska Sect. A LI.2, 15 (1997) 167-178] and Petryshyn and Williamson [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 43 (1973) 459-497] are obtained from our results as special cases. Also, we give comments on some results in [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 207 (1997) 96-103, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 43 (1973) 459-497]. Bioeconomic exploitation of a prey-predator fishery is discussed by using a reasonable catch-rate function instead of the usual 'catch-per-unit-effort hypothesis'. The model is based on the assumption that only the prey species is harvested. A regulatory agency controls exploitation of the fishery by imposing a tax per unit biomass of the landed fish. The fishing effort is taken as a dynamic variable depending on the capital invested in the fishery. The dynamical system consisting of the growth equations of the species and also the fishing effort is formulated. The existence and stability of steady states are discussed. The optimal tax policy is studied with the help of Pontryagin's maximum principle. Finally, some numerical examples are carried out to illustrate the results of the model. 相似文献

In his famous works of 1930 [1,2] Sergey L. Sobolev has proposed a construction of the solution of the Cauchy problem for the hyperbolic equation of the second order with variable coefficients in Rş. Although Sobolev did not construct the fundamental solution, his construction was modified later by Romanov (2002) and Smirnov (1964) to obtain the fundamental solution. However, these works impose a restrictive assumption of the regularity of geodesic lines in a large domain. In addition, it is unclear how to realize those methods numerically. In this paper a simple construction of a function, which is associated in a clear way with the fundamental solution of the acoustic equation with the variable speed in 3-d, is proposed. Conditions on geodesic lines are not imposed. An important feature of this construction is that it lends itself to effective computations. 相似文献
