We show that Perelman’s ${\mathcal{W}}$ functional on Kähler manifolds has a natural counterpart on Sasaki manifolds. We prove, using this functional, that Perelman’s results on Kähler–Ricci flow (the first Chern class is positive) can be generalized to Sasaki–Ricci flow, including the uniform bound on the diameter and the scalar curvature along the flow. We also show that positivity of transverse bisectional curvature is preserved along Sasaki–Ricci flow, using Bando and Mok’s methods and results in Kähler–Ricci flow. In particular, we show that the Sasaki–Ricci flow converges to a Sasaki–Ricci soliton when the initial metric has nonnegative transverse bisectional curvature.  相似文献

We consider compact Kähler manifolds with their Kähler Ricci tensor satisfying F(Ric) = constant. Under the nonnegative bisectional curvature assumption and certain conditions on F, we prove that such metrics are in fact Kähler–Einstein.  相似文献

The determinant of the Ricci endomorphism of a Kähler metric is called its central curvature, a notion well-defined even in the Riemannian context. This work investigates two types of Kähler metrics in which this curvature potential gives rise to a potential for a gradient holomorphic vector field. These metric types generalize the Kähler-Einstein notion as well as that of Bando and Mabuchi (1986). Whenever possible the central curvature is treated in analogy with the scalar curvature, and the metrics are compared with the extremal Kähler metrics of Calabi. An analog of the Futaki invariant is employed, both invariants belonging to a family described in the language of holomorphic equivariant cohomology. It is shown that one of the metric types realizes the minimum of an functional defined on the space of Kähler metrics in a given Kähler class. For metrics of constant central curvature, results are obtained regarding existence, uniqueness and a partial classification in complex dimension two. Consequently, on a manifold of Fano type, such metrics and Kähler-Einstein metrics can only exist concurrently. An existence result for the case of non-constant central curvature is stated, and proved in a sequel to this work.

In this Note, we announce the result that if M is a Kähler–Einstein manifold with positive scalar curvature, if the initial metric has nonnegative bisectional curvature, and the curvature is positive somewhere, then the Kähler–Ricci flow converges to a Kähler–Einstein metric with constant bisectional curvature.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the coisotropic submanifolds in a Kähler manifold of nonnegative holomorphic curvature. We prove an intersection theorem for compact totally geodesic coisotropic submanifolds and discuss some topological obstructions for the existence of such submanifolds. Our results apply to Lagrangian submanifolds and real hypersurfaces since the class of coisotropic submanifolds includes them. As an application, we give a fixed-point theorem for compact Kähler manifolds with positive holomorphic curvature. Also, our results can be further extended to nearly Kähler manifolds.  相似文献

We prove new ergodic theorems in the context of infinite ergodic theory, and give some applications to Riemannian and Kähler manifolds without conjugate points. One of the consequences of these ideas is that a complete manifold without conjugate points has nonpositive integral of the infimum of Ricci curvatures, whenever this integral makes sense. We also show that a complete Kähler manifold with nonnegative holomorphic curvature is flat if it has no conjugate points.  相似文献

We prove that a Kähler metric in the anticanonical class, that is a critical point of the functional and has nonnegative Ricci curvature, is necessarily Kähler-Einstein. This partially answers a question of X.X. Chen.

We study an odd‐dimensional analogue of the Goldberg conjecture for compact Einstein almost Kähler manifolds. We give an explicit non‐compact example of an Einstein almost cokähler manifold that is not cokähler. We prove that compact Einstein almost cokähler manifolds with nonnegative *‐scalar curvature are cokähler (indeed, transversely Calabi–Yau); more generally, we give a lower and upper bound for the *‐scalar curvature in the case that the structure is not cokähler. We prove similar bounds for almost Kähler Einstein manifolds that are not Kähler.  相似文献

Summary In this paper, we are investigating curvature properties of complex two-dimensional Hermitian manifolds, particularly in the compact case. To do this, we start with the remark that the fundamental form of such a manifold is integrable, and we use the analogy with the locally conformal KÄhler manifolds, which follows from this remark. Among the obtained results, we have the following: a compact Hermitian surface for which either the Riemannian curvature tensor satisfies the KÄhler symmetries or the Hermitian curvature tensor satisfies the Riemannian Bianchi identity is KÄhler; a compact Hermitian surface of constant sectional curvature is a flat KÄhler surface; a compact Hermitian surface M with nonnegative nonidentical zero holomorphie Hermitian bisectional curvature has vanishing plurigenera, c1(M) 0, and no exceptional curves; a compact Hermitian surface with distinguished metric, and positive integral Riemannian scalar curvature has vanishing plurigenera, etc.  相似文献

In this paper, we derive a new monotonicity formula for the plurisubharmonic functions/positive (1,1) currents on complete Kähler manifolds with nonnegative bisectional curvature. As applications we derive the sharp estimates for the dimension of the spaces of holomorphic functions (sections) with polynomial growth, which, in particular, partially solve a conjecture of Yau.

The methods used in this paper, without the assumption of maximum volume of growth, as observed recently by Chen, Fu, Yin, and Zhu, provide a complete solution to Yau's conjecture.

In this paper, we will study the problem of uniqueness of Kähler Ricci flow on some complete noncompact Kähler manifolds and the convergence of the flow on with the initial metric constructed by Wu and Zheng.

The central curvature of a Riemannian metric is the determinant of its Ricci endomorphism, while the scalar curvature is its trace. A Kähler metric is called central if the gradient of its central curvature is a holomorphic vector field. Such metrics may be viewed as analogs of the extremal Kähler metrics defined by Calabi. In this work, central metrics of non-constant central curvature are constructed on various ruled surfaces, most notably the first Hirzebruch surface. This is achieved via the momentum construction of Hwang and Singer, a variant of an ansatz employed by Calabi (1979) and by Koiso and Sakane (1986). Non-existence, real-analyticity and positivity properties of central metrics arising in this ansatz are also established.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider orthogonal Ricci curvature \(Ric^{\perp }\) for Kähler manifolds, which is a curvature condition closely related to Ricci curvature and holomorphic sectional curvature. We prove comparison theorems and a vanishing theorem related to these curvature conditions, and construct various examples to illustrate subtle relationship among them. As a consequence of the vanishing theorem, we show that any compact Kähler manifold with positive orthogonal Ricci curvature must be projective. This result complements a recent result of Yang (RC-positivity, rational connectedness, and Yau’s conjecture. arXiv:1708.06713) on the projectivity under the positivity of holomorphic sectional curvature. The simply-connectedness is shown when the complex dimension is smaller than five. Further study of compact Kähler manifolds with \(Ric^{\perp }>0\) is carried in Ni et al. (Manifolds with positive orthogonal Ricci curvature. arXiv:1806.10233).  相似文献

We prove that any simply connected special Kähler manifold admits a canonical immersion as a parabolic affine hypersphere. As an application, we associate a parabolic affine hypersphere to any nondegenerate holomorphic function. We also show that a classical result of Calabi and Pogorelov on parabolic spheres implies Lu's theorem on complete special Kähler manifolds with a positive definite metric.

In this article we study properly discontinuous actions on Hilbert manifolds giving new examples of complete Hilbert manifolds with nonnegative, respectively nonpositive, sectional curvature with infinite fundamental group. We also get examples of complete infinite dimensional Kähler manifolds with positive holomorphic sectional curvature and infinite fundamental group in contrastwith the finite dimensional case and we classify abelian groups acting linearly, isometrically and properly discontinuously on Stiefel manifolds. Finally, we classify homogeneous Hilbert manifolds with constant sectional curvature.  相似文献

By establishing an optimal comparison result on the heat kernel of the conformal Laplacian on open manifolds with nonnegative Ricci curvature, (a) we show that many manifolds with positive scalar curvature do not possess conformal metrics with scalar curvature bounded below by a positive constant; (b) we identify a class of functions with the following property: If the manifold has a scalar curvature in this class, then there exists a complete conformal metric whose scalar curvature is any given function in this class. This class is optimal in some sense; (c) we have identified all manifolds with nonnegative Ricci curvature, which are “uniformly” conformal to manifolds with zero scalar curvature. Even in the Euclidean case, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition under which the main existence results in [Ni1] and [KN] on prescribing nonnegative scalar curvature will hold. This condition had been sought in several papers in the last two decades. Received: 11 November 1998 / Revised: 7 April 1999  相似文献

In the thesis, we study the differential Harnack estimate for the heat equation of the Hodge Laplacian deformation of (p, p)-forms on both fixed and evolving (by Kähler-Ricci flow) Kähler manifolds, which generalize the known differential Harnack estimates for (1, 1)-forms. On a Kähler manifold, we define a new curvature cone Cp and prove that the cone is invariant under Kähler-Ricci flow and that the cone ensures the preservation of the nonnegativity of the solutions to Hodge Laplacian heat equation. After identifying the curvature conditions, we prove the sharp differential Harnack estimates for the positive solution to the Hodge Laplacian heat equation. We also prove a nonlinear version coupled with the Kähler-Ricci flow after obtaining some interpolating matrix differential Harnack type estimates for curvature operators between Hamilton’s and Cao’s matrix Harnack estimates. Similarly, we define another new curvature cone, which is invariant under Ricci flow, and prove another interpolating matrix differential Harnack estimates for curvature operators on Riemannian manifolds.  相似文献

We derive the entropy formula for the linear heat equation on general Riemannian manifolds and prove that it is monotone non-increasing on manifolds with nonnegative Ricci curvature. As applications, we study the relation between the value of entropy and the volume of balls of various scales. The results are simpler version, without Ricci flow, of Perelman ’s recent results on volume non-collapsing for Ricci flow on compact manifolds. We also prove that if the entropy for the heat kernel achieves its maximum value zero at some positive time, on any complete Riamannian manifold with nonnegative Ricci curvature, if and only if the manifold is isometric to the Euclidean space.  相似文献

It is proved that the Kähler angle of the pseudo-holomorphic sphere of constant curvature in complex Grassmannians is constant. At the same time we also prove several pinching theorems for the curvature and the Kähler angle of the pseudo-holomorphic spheres in complex Grassmannians with non-degenerate associated harmonic sequence.
