In this paper, we prove some fixed point theorems for generalized contractions in the setting of G-metric spaces. Our results extend a result of Edelstein [M. Edelstein, On fixed and periodic points under contractive mappings, J. London Math. Soc., 37 (1962), 74–79] and a result of Suzuki [T. Suzuki, A new type of fixed point theorem in metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal., 71 (2009), 5313–5317]. We prove, also, a fixed point theorem in the setting of G-cone metric spaces.  相似文献

A new condition for mappings, called condition (C), which is more general than nonexpansiveness, was recently introduced by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. Following the idea of Kirk and Massa Theorem in [W.A. Kirk, S. Massa, Remarks on asymptotic and Chebyshev centers, Houston J. Math. 16 (1990) 364-375], we prove a fixed point theorem for mappings with condition (C) on a Banach space such that its asymptotic center in a bounded closed and convex subset of each bounded sequence is nonempty and compact. This covers a result obtained by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. We also present fixed point theorems for this class of mappings defined on weakly compact convex subsets of Banach spaces satisfying property (D). Consequently, we extend the results in [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095] to many other Banach spaces.  相似文献

We establish a geometric lemma giving a list of equivalent conditions for some subsets of the plane. As its application, we get that various contractive conditions using the so-called altering distance functions coincide with classical ones. We consider several classes of mappings both on metric spaces and ordered metric spaces. In particular, we show that unexpectedly, some very recent fixed point theorems for generalized contractions on ordered metric spaces obtained by Harjani and Sadarangani [J. Harjani, K. Sadarangani, Generalized contractions in partially ordered metric spaces and applications to ordinary differential equations, Nonlinear Anal. 72 (2010) 1188-1197], and Amini-Harandi and Emami [A. Amini-Harandi, H. Emami A fixed point theorem for contraction type maps in partially ordered metric spaces and application to ordinary differential equations, Nonlinear Anal. 72 (2010) 2238-2242] do follow from an earlier result of O’Regan and Petru?el [D. O’Regan and A. Petru?el, Fixed point theorems for generalized contractions in ordered metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 341 (2008) 1241-1252].  相似文献

In this paper, common fixed point theorems for four mappings satisfying a generalized nonlinear contraction type condition on partial metric spaces are proved. Presented theorems extend the very recent results of I. Altun, F. Sola and H. Simsek [Generalized contractions on partial metric spaces, Topology and its applications 157 (18) (2010) 2778-2785]. As application, some homotopy results for operators on a set endowed with a partial metric are given.  相似文献

Recently, Suzuki [T. Suzuki, A generalized Banach contraction principle that characterizes metric completeness, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 136 (2008) 1861-1869] proved a fixed point theorem that is a generalization of the Banach contraction principle and characterizes the metric completeness. In this paper we prove an analogous fixed point result for a self-mapping on a partial metric space or on a partially ordered metric space. Our results on partially ordered metric spaces generalize and extend some recent results of Ran and Reurings [A.C.M. Ran, M.C. Reurings, A fixed point theorem in partially ordered sets and some applications to matrix equations, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 132 (2004) 1435-1443], Nieto and Rodríguez-López [J.J. Nieto, R. Rodríguez-López, Contractive mapping theorems in partially ordered sets and applications to ordinary differential equations, Order 22 (2005) 223-239]. We deduce, also, common fixed point results for two self-mappings. Moreover, using our results, we obtain a characterization of partial metric 0-completeness in terms of fixed point theory. This result extends Suzuki?s characterization of metric completeness.  相似文献

Recently, Suzuki [T. Suzuki characterizes metric completeness, Proc. A generalized Banach contractlon principle that Amer. Math. Soc. 136 (2008), 1861-1869] proved a fixed point theorem that is a generalization of the Banach contraction principle and char- acterizes the metric completeness. Paesano and Vetro [D. Paesano and P. Vetro, Suzuki's type characterizations of completeness for partial metric spaces and fixed points for partially ordered metric spaces, Topology Appl., 159 (2012), 911-920] proved an analogous fixed point result for a self-mapping on a partial metric space that characterizes the partial metric O- completeness. In this article, we introduce the notion of partial G-metric spaces and prove a result of Suzuki type in the setting of partial G-metric spaces. We deduce also a result of common fixed point.  相似文献

We prove three fixed point theorems for generalized contractions with constants in complete metric spaces, which are generalizations of very recent fixed point theorems due to Suzuki. We also raise one problem concerning the constants.  相似文献

Kikkawa and Suzuki (Nonlinear Anal 69:2942–2949, 2008) and Kikkawa and Suzuki (Fixed Point Theory Appl, 2008, Art. ID 649749) proved some fixed point results that are generalizations of Kannan’s, Nadler’s and Suzuki’s fixed point theorems. Here, we present fixed point results of this kind for multivalued mappings in the setting of \(\mathcal {H}^+\)-metric spaces. The theorems provided allow upgrading of some known results which is shown by examples. Moreover, we give a homotopy result as an application of our main theorem.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to discuss some basic problems (data dependence, well-posedness, nonself operators, homotopy results, generalized contractions) of the fixed point theory for a new type contractive multivalued operator. The results complement and extend some very recent results proved by M. Kikkawa and T. Suzuki, as well as, other theorems given by M. Frigon and A. Granas, S. Reich, I.A. Rus, etc.  相似文献

Investigations concerning the existence of dynamic processes convergent to fixed points of set-valued nonlinear contractions in cone metric spaces are initiated. The conditions guaranteeing the existence and uniqueness of fixed points of such contractions are established. Our theorems generalize recent results obtained by Huang and Zhang [L.-G. Huang, X. Zhang, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive maps, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2007) 1467–1475] for cone metric spaces and by Klim and Wardowski [D. Klim, D. Wardowski, Fixed point theorems for set-valued contractions in complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 334 (1) (2007) 132–139] for metric spaces. The examples and remarks provided show an essential difference between our results and those mentioned above.  相似文献

A note on cone metric fixed point theory and its equivalence   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The main aim of this paper is to investigate the equivalence of vectorial versions of fixed point theorems in generalized cone metric spaces and scalar versions of fixed point theorems in (general) metric spaces (in usual sense). We show that the Banach contraction principles in general metric spaces and in TVS-cone metric spaces are equivalent. Our theorems also extend some results in Huang and Zhang (2007) [L.-G. Huang, X. Zhang, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2007) 1468-1476], Rezapour and Hamlbarani (2008) [Sh. Rezapour, R. Hamlbarani, Some notes on the paper Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 345 (2008) 719-724] and others.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove weak and strong convergence theorems for Ishikawa iteration of Suzuki-generalized nonexpansive mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. Furthermore, we extend the results to CAT(0) spaces. Our work extends the results of Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mapping, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088–1095] and Takahashi and Kim [W. Takahashi, G.E. Kim, Approximating fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces, Math. Jpn. 48 (1998) 1–9].  相似文献

We introduce some notions of generalized nonlinear contractive maps and prove some fixed point results for such maps. Consequently, several known fixed point results are either improved or generalized including the corresponding recent fixed point results of Ciric [L.B. Ciric, Multivalued nonlinear contraction mappings, Nonlinear Anal. 71 (2009) 2716-2723], Klim and Wardowski [D. Klim, D. Wardowski, Fixed point theorems for set-valued contractions in complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 334 (2007) 132-139], Feng and Liu [Y. Feng, S. Liu, Fixed point theorems for multivalued contractive mappings and multivalued Caristi type mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 317 (2006) 103-112] and Mizoguchi and Takahashi [N. Mizoguchi, W. Takahashi, Fixed point theorems for multivalued mappings on complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 141 (1989) 177-188].  相似文献

Some common fixed point results in cone metric spaces of C. Di Bari and P. Vetro [C. Di Bari, P. Vetro, φ-pairs and common fixed points in cone metric spaces, Rend. Cir. Mat. Palermo 57 (2008), 279-285] as well as P. Raja and S.M. Vaezpour [P. Raja, S.M. Vaezpour, Some extensions of Banach’s Contraction Principle in complete metric spaces, Fixed Point Theory Appl. (2008), doi:10.1155/2008/768294] are extended using generalized contractive-type conditions and cones which may be nonnormal. Cone metric versions of several well-known results, such as Boyd-Wong’s theorem [D.W. Boyd, J.S. Wong, On nonlinear contractions, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 20 (1969), 458-464], are obtained as special cases.  相似文献

In this paper the concept of a contraction for multi-valued mappings in a metric space is introduced and the existence theorems for fixed points of such contractions in a complete metric space are proved. Presented results generalize and improve the recent results of Y. Feng, S. Liu [Y. Feng, S. Liu, Fixed point theorems for multi-valued contractive mappings and multi-valued Caristi type mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 317 (2006) 103-112], D. Klim, D. Wardowski [D. Klim, D. Wardowski, Fixed point theorems for set-valued contractions in complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 334 (2007) 132-139] and several others. The method used in the proofs of our results is new and is simpler than methods used in the corresponding papers. Two examples are given to show that our results are genuine generalization of the results of Feng and Liu and Klim and Wardowski.  相似文献
