For a linear subspace II of a Riesz space there are various well-known properties that are equivalent to II being an ideal, such as II is a full Riesz subspace, II is a solid subspace, II is a Riesz subspace and the kernel of a positive linear map, II is the kernel of a Riesz homomorphism. Generalizations of these properties to partially ordered vector spaces are considered and their relations are investigated. It is shown that for directed subspaces all these generalizations are equivalent, just as in the case of Riesz spaces.  相似文献

It will be shown that a normed partially ordered vector space is linearly, norm, and order isomorphic to a subspace of a normed Riesz space if and only if its positive cone is closed and its norm p satisfies p(x)p(y) for all x and y with -yxy. A similar characterization of the subspaces of M-normed Riesz spaces is given. With aid of the first characterization, Krein's lemma on directedness of norm dual spaces can be directly derived from the result for normed Riesz spaces. Further properties of the norms ensuing from the characterization theorem are investigated. Also a generalization of the notion of Riesz norm is studied as an analogue of the r-norm from the theory of spaces of operators. Both classes of norms are used to extend results on spaces of operators between normed Riesz spaces to a setting with partially ordered vector spaces. Finally, a partial characterization of the subspaces of Riesz spaces with Riesz seminorms is given.  相似文献

In this paper we formulate and prove analogues of the Hahn-Jordan decomposition and an Andô-Douglas-Radon-Nikodým theorem in Dedekind complete Riesz spaces with a weak order unit, in the presence of a Riesz space conditional expectation operator. As a consequence we can characterize those subspaces of the Riesz space which are ranges of conditional expectation operators commuting with the given conditional expectation operators and which have a larger range space. This provides the first step towards a formulation of Markov processes on Riesz spaces.  相似文献

A type of extensions called the -extention of topological spaces and their -equivalence and -trace systems are introduced, which ultimately characterize H-closed -extensions of a Hausdorff topological space. Also, the notion of -principal extensions is defined. This paper describes a convenient modification of the approach presented in the paper Closure operators and connectedness by G. Castellini and D. Hajek, which is shown to give a suitable generalization of left- and right-constant subcategories, both at the object and the morphism levels. We show in particular that the framework we introduce here allows the simultaneous study of the classes of connected topological spaces, of concordant continuous maps and of monotone continuous maps.  相似文献

We propose an approach to the theory of Riesz transforms in a framework emerging from certain reflection symmetries in Euclidean spaces. Relying on Rösler’s construction of multivariable generalized Hermite functions associated with a finite reflection group on \({\mathbb R^d}\), we define and investigate a system of Riesz transforms related to the Dunkl harmonic oscillator. In the case isomorphic with the group \({\mathbb{Z}^d_2}\) it is proved that the Riesz transforms are Calderón–Zygmund operators in the sense of the associated space of homogeneous type, thus their mapping properties follow from the general theory.  相似文献

In the theory of operators on a Riesz space (vector lattice), an important result states that the Riesz homomorphisms (lattice homomorphisms) on C(X) are exactly the weighted composition operators. We extend this result to Riesz* homomorphisms on order dense subspaces of C(X). On those subspace we consider and compare various classes of operators that extend the notion of a Riesz homomorphism. Furthermore, using the weighted composition structure of Riesz* homomorphisms we obtain several results concerning bijective Riesz* homomorphisms. In particular, we characterize the automorphism group for order dense subspaces of C(X). Lastly, we develop a similar theory for Riesz* homomorphisms on subspace of \(C_0(X)\), for a locally compact Hausdorff space X, and apply it to smooth manifolds and Sobolev spaces.  相似文献

We give a new direct proof of the a.s. convergence of the Cesàro- means of a stationary process (X n) when 0<<1 andE(X n p )<+ with p>1 and we show that this result does not hold in general for p=1. We also consider similar questions for orthogonal random variables. Finally, we study the a.s. convergence of Riesz harmonic means.  相似文献

Order properties of quotient Riesz spaces E/N(f) by null ideals N(f) are investigated. We show relationships between properties of a Riesz space E and its order dual E ~ and properties of quotients E/N(f) where f runs over some subspaces of E ~. This paper establishes a relation between -based cones and solid cones in a separated locally convex topological vector space. Concavity and supermodularity are in general independent properties. A class of functionals defined on a lattice cone of a Riesz space has the Choquet property when it is the case that its members are concave whenever they are supermodular. We show that for some important Riesz spaces both the class of positively homogeneous functionals and the class of translation invariant functionals have the Choquet property. We extend in this way the results of Choquet [G. Choquet, Theory of capacities, Ann. Inst. Fourier (Grenoble) 5 (1953-1954) 131-295] and König [H. König, The (sub/super) additivity assertion of Choquet, Studia Math. 157 (2003) 171-197].  相似文献
