For the transient behavior of a semiconductor device, the modified method of characteristics with mixed finite element domain decomposition procedures applicable to parallel arithmetic is put forward. The electric potential equation is described by the mixed finite element method, and the electric, hole concentration and heat conduction equations are treated by the modified method of characteristics finite element domain decomposition methods. Some techniques, such as calculus of variations, domain decomposition, characteristic method, energy method, negative norm estimate and prior estimates and techniques are employed. Optimal order estimates in L2 norm are derived for the error in the approximation solution. A kind of second-order implicit fractional step characteristic finite difference method is presented in this paper for the numerically simulation coupled system of enhanced(chemical) oil production in porous media.Some techniques,such as the calculus of variations,energy analysis method,commutativity of the products of difference operators,decomposition of high-order difference operators and the theory of a priori estimates are introduced and an optimal order error estimates in l~2 norm is derived.This method has been applied successfully to the numerical simulation of enhanced oil production in actual oilfields,and the simulation results are quite interesting and satisfactory.  相似文献

Parallel Galerkin domain decomposition procedures for parabolic equation on general domain are given. These procedures use implicit Galerkin method in the subdomains and simple explicit flux calculation on the interdomain boundaries by integral mean method or extrapolation method to predict the inner‐boundary conditions. Thus, the parallelism can be achieved by these procedures. These procedures are conservative both in the subdomains and across interboundaries. The explicit nature of the flux prediction induces a time‐step limitation that is necessary to preserve stability, but this constraint is less severe than that for a fully explicit method. L2‐norm error estimates are derived for these procedures. Compared with the work of Dawson and Dupont [Math Comp 58 (1992), 21–35], these L2‐norm error estimates avoid the loss of H?1/2 factor. The paper deals with Nitsche type mortaring as a finite element method (FEM) for treating non‐matching meshes of triangles at the interface of some domain decomposition. The approach is applied to the Poisson equation with Dirichlet conditions for the case that the interface passes re‐entrant corners of the domain and local mesh refinement is applied. The temperature equation is described by a fractional step method. Thick and thin grids are made use of to form a complete set. Piecewise threefold quadratic interpolation, symmetrical extension, calculus of variations, commutativity of operator product, decomposition of high order difference operators and prior estimates are also made use of. In this paper a method is developed for solving hyperbolic initial boundary value problems in one space dimension using domain decomposition, which can be extended to problems in several space dimensions. We minimize a functional which is the sum of squares of the L 2 norms of the residuals and a term which is the sum of the squares of the L 2 norms of the jumps in the function across interdomain boundaries. To make the problem well posed the interdomain boundaries are made to move back and forth at alternate time steps with sufficiently high speed. We construct parallel preconditioners and obtain error estimates for the method. The Schwarz waveform relaxation method is often employed to solve hyperbolic problems using domain decomposition but this technique faces difficulties if the system becomes characteristic at the inter-element boundaries. By making the inter-element boundaries move faster than the fastest wave speed associated with the hyperbolic system we are able to overcome this problem.  相似文献

本文综述混合效应模型参数估计方面的若干新进展. 平衡混合效应方差分析模型的协方差阵具有一定结构. 对这类模型, 文献[1]提出了参数估计的一种新方法, 称为谱分解法. 新方法的突出特点是, 能同时给出固定效应和方差分量的估计, 前者是线性的, 后者是二次的,且相互独立. 而后, 文献[2--9]证明了谱分解估计的进一步的统计性质, 同时给出了协方差阵对应的估计, 它不仅是正定阵, 而且可获得它的风险函数, 这些文献还研究了谱分解估计与方差分析估计, 极大似然估计, 限制极大似然估计以及最小范数二次无偏估计的关系. 本文综述这一方向的部分研究成果, 并提出一些待进一步研究的问题.  相似文献

In this paper, the unconditional stability and mass‐preserving splitting domain decomposition method (S‐DDM) for solving three‐dimensional parabolic equations is analyzed. At each time step level, three steps (x‐direction, y‐direction, and z‐direction) are proposed to compute the solutions on each sub‐domains. The interface fluxes are first predicted by the semi‐implicit flux schemes. Second, the interior solutions and fluxes are computed by the splitting implicit solution and flux coupled schemes. Last, we recompute the interface fluxes by the explicit schemes. Due to the introduced z‐directional splitting and domain decomposition, the analysis of stability and convergence is scarcely evident and quite difficult. By some mathematical technique and auxiliary lemmas, we prove strictly our scheme meet unconditional stability and give the error estimates in L2‐norm. Numerical experiments are presented to illustrate the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

One domain decomposition method modified with characteristic differences is presented for non‐periodic three‐dimensional equations by multiply‐type quadratic interpolation and variant time‐step technique. This method consists of reduced‐scale, two‐dimensional computation on subdomain interface boundaries and fully implicit subdomain computation in parallel. A computational algorithm is outlined and an error estimate in discrete l2‐ norm is established by introducing new inner products and norms.
