This paper considers the Cauchy problem with a kind of non-smooth initial data for general inhomogeneous quasilinear hyperbolic systems with characteristics with constant multiplicity. Under the matching condition, based on the refined fomulas on the decomposition of waves, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition to guarantee the existence and uniqueness of global weakly discontinuous solution to the Cauchy problem.  相似文献

This paper deals with the blow-up phenomenon, particularly, the geometric blow-up mechanism, of classical solutions to the Cauchy problem for quasilinear hyperbolic systems in the critical case. In this article,we study the Cauchy problem for the linearized spatially homogeneous non-cutoff Boltzamnn equation with Maxwellian molecules.By using the spectral decomposition,we solve the Cauchy problem with initial datum in the sense of distribution,which contains the dual space of a Gelfand-Shilov class.We also prove that this solution belongs to the Gelfand-Shilov space for any positive time.  相似文献

L^p- L^q decay estimate of solution to Cauchy problem of a linear thermoviscoelastic system is studied. By using a diagonalization argument of frequency analysis, the coupled system will be decoupled micrologically. Then with the help of the information of characteristic roots for the coefficient matrix of the system, L^p- L^q decay estimate of parabolic type of solution to the Cauchy problem is obtained.  相似文献

The paper concerns with the existence, uniqueness and nonexistence of global solution to the Cauchy problem for a class of nonlinear wave equations with damping term. It proves that under suitable assumptions on nonlinear the function and initial data the above-mentioned problem admits a unique global solution by Fourier transform method. The sufficient conditions of nonexistence of the global solution to the above-mentioned problem are given by the concavity method.  相似文献

In this paper, a new proof of D'Alembert formula for Cauchy problems of wave equation is proposed. And some D'Alembert-type formulas for Cauchy problem with discontinuous coefficients on semi-infinite initial boundary value problem are proposed. Based on above discussion, the c(?)racteristics methods for the direct and inverse problems of the stress wave equation for uniform layerad elastic medium are investigated. In the first part of the present paper we deal with the first boundary value problem for general second-order differential equation in plane angle. The criterion of non-trivial solvability is obtained for such problem in space C2 of functions having polynomial growth at infinity. In the second part so-called "almost Cauchy" problem in a polygon for high order differential equation without respect of type is investigated. The necessary condition of uniqueness violation of solution is appeared to be sufficient in case of problem with one boundary condition.  相似文献

We consider the generalized Cauchy problem with data on two surfaces for a second-order quasilinear analytic system. The distinction of the generalized Cauchy problem from the traditional statement of the Cauchy problem is that the initial conditions for different unknown functions are given on different surfaces: for each unknown function we pose its own initial condition on its own coordinate axis. Earlier, the generalized Cauchy problem was considered in the works of C. Riquier, N. M. Gyunter, S. L. Sobolev, N. A. Lednev, V. M. Teshukov, and S. P. Bautin. In this article we construct a solution to the generalized Cauchy problem in the case when the system of partial differential equations additionally contains the values of the derivatives of the unknown functions (in particular outer derivatives) given on the coordinate axes. The last circumstance is a principal distinction of the problem in the present article from the generalized Cauchy problems studied earlier.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with a class of abstract second-order nonlocal Cauchy problem with impulsive conditions in Banach spaces. In this paper, we consider the Cauchy problem for multidimensional elliptic equations in a cylindrical domain. The method of spectral expansion in eigenfunctions of the Cauchy problem for equations with deviating argument establishes a criterion of the strong solvability of the considered elliptic Cauchy problem. It is shown that the ill-posedness of the elliptic Cauchy problem is equivalent to the existence of an isolated point of the continuous spectrum for a self-adjoint operator with deviating argument.  相似文献
