We consider simply connected compact Kähler manifolds which have a holomorphic action of a torus group. We use the existing equivariant models for rational homotopy to show that these spaces satisfy an equivariant formality condition over the complex numbers.  相似文献

We survey recent developments which led to the proof of the Benson-Gordon conjecture on Kähler quotients of solvable Lie groups. In addition, we prove that the Albanese morphism of a Kähler manifold which is a homotopy torus is a biholomorphic map. We show that for any complete connected Kähler manifold, the index of the group of complex affine transformations in the group of c-projective transformations is at most two unless the Kähler manifold is isometric to complex projective space equipped with a positive constant multiple of the Fubini–Study metric. This establishes a stronger version of the recently proved Yano–Obata conjecture for complete Kähler manifolds.  相似文献

We study an odd‐dimensional analogue of the Goldberg conjecture for compact Einstein almost Kähler manifolds. We give an explicit non‐compact example of an Einstein almost cokähler manifold that is not cokähler. We prove that compact Einstein almost cokähler manifolds with nonnegative *‐scalar curvature are cokähler (indeed, transversely Calabi–Yau); more generally, we give a lower and upper bound for the *‐scalar curvature in the case that the structure is not cokähler. We prove similar bounds for almost Kähler Einstein manifolds that are not Kähler.  相似文献

Moment-angle manifolds provide a wide class of examples of non-Kähler compact complex manifolds. A complex moment-angle manifold \(\mathcal {Z}\) is constructed via certain combinatorial data, called a complete simplicial fan. In the case of rational fans, the manifold \(\mathcal {Z}\) is the total space of a holomorphic bundle over a toric variety with fibres compact complex tori. In general, a complex moment-angle manifold \(\mathcal {Z}\) is equipped with a canonical holomorphic foliation \({\mathcal {F}}\) which is equivariant with respect to the \(({\mathbb {C}}^\times )^m\)-action. Examples of moment-angle manifolds include Hopf manifolds of Vaisman type, Calabi–Eckmann manifolds, and their deformations. We construct transversely Kähler metrics on moment-angle manifolds, under some restriction on the combinatorial data. We prove that any Kähler submanifold (or, more generally, a Fujiki class \(\mathcal {C}\) subvariety) in such a moment-angle manifold is contained in a leaf of the foliation \({\mathcal {F}}\). For a generic moment-angle manifold \(\mathcal {Z}\) in its combinatorial class, we prove that all subvarieties are moment-angle manifolds of smaller dimension and there are only finitely many of them. This implies, in particular, that the algebraic dimension of \(\mathcal {Z}\) is zero.  相似文献

We study compact complex manifolds bimeromorphic to locally conformally Kähler (LCK) manifolds. This is an analogy of studying a compact complex manifold bimeromorphic to a Kähler manifold. We give a negative answer for a question of Ornea, Verbitsky, Vuletescu by showing that there exists no LCK current on blow ups along a submanifold (dim \(\ge 1\)) of Vaisman manifolds. We show that a compact complex manifold with LCK currents satisfying a certain condition can be modified to an LCK manifold. Based on this fact, we define a compact complex manifold with a modification from an LCK manifold as a locally conformally class C (LC class C) manifold. We give examples of LC class C manifolds that are not LCK manifolds. Finally, we show that all LC class C manifolds are locally conformally balanced manifolds.  相似文献

We study compact toric strict locally conformally Kähler manifolds. We show that the Kodaira dimension of the underlying complex manifold is \(-\infty \), and that the only compact complex surfaces admitting toric strict locally conformally Kähler metrics are the diagonal Hopf surfaces. We also show that every toric Vaisman manifold has lcK rank 1 and is isomorphic to the mapping torus of an automorphism of a toric compact Sasakian manifold.  相似文献

We analyze polar actions on Hermitian and quaternion-Kähler symmetric spaces of compact type. For complex integrable polar actions on Hermitian symmetric spaces of compact type we prove a reduction theorem and several corollaries concerning the geometry of these actions. The results are independent of the classification of polar actions on Hermitian symmetric spaces. In the second part we prove that polar actions on Wolf spaces are quaternion-coisotropic and that isometric actions on these spaces admit an orbit of special type, analogous to the existence of a complex orbit for an isometric action on a compact homogeneous simply connected Kähler manifold.  相似文献

In this Note a simple rank estimate for harmonic maps, with domain a Kähler manifold and target a compact 3-manifold, is proved. As an application we give new examples of fundamental groups of compact manifolds which are not Kähler groups.  相似文献

We study local automorphisms of holomorphic Cartan geometries. This leads to classification results for compact complex manifolds admitting holomorphic Cartan geometries. We prove that a compact Kähler Calabi–Yau manifold bearing a holomorphic Cartan geometry of algebraic type admits a finite unramified cover which is a complex torus.  相似文献

We will prove that normal complex contact metric manifolds that are Bochner flat must have constant holomorphic sectional curvature 4 and be Kähler. If they are also complete and simply connected, they must be isometric to the odd-dimensional complex projective space \({{\mathbb{C}P^{2n+1}}}\)(4) with the Fubini-Study metric. On the other hand, it is not possible for normal complex contact metric manifolds to be conformally flat.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider orthogonal Ricci curvature \(Ric^{\perp }\) for Kähler manifolds, which is a curvature condition closely related to Ricci curvature and holomorphic sectional curvature. We prove comparison theorems and a vanishing theorem related to these curvature conditions, and construct various examples to illustrate subtle relationship among them. As a consequence of the vanishing theorem, we show that any compact Kähler manifold with positive orthogonal Ricci curvature must be projective. This result complements a recent result of Yang (RC-positivity, rational connectedness, and Yau’s conjecture. arXiv:1708.06713) on the projectivity under the positivity of holomorphic sectional curvature. The simply-connectedness is shown when the complex dimension is smaller than five. Further study of compact Kähler manifolds with \(Ric^{\perp }>0\) is carried in Ni et al. (Manifolds with positive orthogonal Ricci curvature. arXiv:1806.10233).  相似文献

We prove that a nearly Kenmotsu manifold is locally isometric to the warped product of a real line and a nearly Kähler manifold. As consequence, a normal nearly Kenmotsu manifold is Kenmotsu. Furthermore, we show that there do not exist nearly Kenmotsu hypersurfaces of nearly Kähler manifolds.

For compact Kählerian manifolds, the holomorphic pseudosymmetry reduces to the local symmetry if additionally the scalar curvature is constant and the structure function is non-negative. Similarly, the holomorphic Ricci-pseudosymmetry reduces to the Ricci-symmetry under these additional assumptions. We construct examples of non-compact essentially holomorphically pseudosymmetric Kählerian manifolds. These examples show that the compactness assumption cannot be omitted in the above stated theorem. Recently, the first examples of compact, simply connected essentially holomorphically pseudosymmetric Kählerian manifolds are discovered in [4]. In these examples, the structure functions change their signs on the manifold.  相似文献

If (N, ω, J, g) is an almost Kähler manifold andM is a branched minimal immersion which is not aJ-holomorphic curve, we show that the complex tangents are isolated and that each has a negative index, which extends the results in the Kähler case by S. S. Chern and J. Wolfson [2] and S. Webster [7] to almost Kähler manifolds. As an application, we get lower estimates for the genus of embedded minimal surfaces in almost Kähler manifolds. The proofs of these results are based on the well-known Cartan’s moving frame methods as in [2, 7]. In our case, we must compute the torsion of the almost complex structures and find a useful representation of torsion. Finally, we prove that the minimal surfaces in complex projective plane with any almost complex structure is aJ-holomorphic curve if it is homologous to the complex line.  相似文献

These notes discuss Hodge theory in the algebraic and Kähler context. We introduce the notion of (polarized) Hodge structure on a cohomology algebra and show how to extract from it topological restrictions on compact Kähler manifolds, and stronger topological restrictions on projective complex manifolds. The second part of the notes is devoted to the discussion of the Hodge conjecture, showing in particular that there is no way to extend it to the Kähler context. We will also discuss algebraic de Rham cohomology which is specific to projective complex manifolds and allows to formulate a number of arithmetic questions related to the Hodge conjecture.  相似文献

For a Kähler metric, the Riemannian scalar curvature is equal to twice the Chern scalar curvature. The question we address here is whether this equivalence can hold for a non-Kähler Hermitian metric. For such metrics, if they exist, the Chern scalar curvature would have the same geometric meaning as the Riemannian scalar curvature. Recently, Liu–Yang showed that if this equivalence of scalar curvatures holds even in average over a compact Hermitian manifold, then the metric must in fact be Kähler. However, we prove that a certain class of non-compact complex manifolds do admit Hermitian metrics for which this equivalence holds. Subsequently, the question of to what extent the behavior of said metrics can be dictated is addressed and a classification theorem is proved.  相似文献

Firstly we give a condition to split off the Kähler factor from a nearly pseudo-Kähler manifold and apply this to get a structure result in dimension 8. Secondly we extend the construction of nearly Kähler manifolds from twistor spaces to negatively curved quaternionic Kähler manifolds and para-quaternionic Kähler manifolds. The class of nearly pseudo-Kähler manifolds obtained from this construction is characterized by a holonomic condition. The combination of these results enables us to give a classification result in (real) dimension 10. Moreover, we show that a strict nearly pseudo-Kähler six-manifold is Einstein.  相似文献

In this article we study an integral invariant which obstructs the existence on a compact complex manifold of a volume form with the determinant of its Ricci form proportional to itself, in particular obstructs the existence of a Kähler-Einstein metric, and has been studied since 1980s. We study this invariant from the view point of locally conformally Kähler geometry. We first see that we can define an integral invariant for coverings of compact complex manifolds with automorphic volume forms. This situation typically occurs for locally conformally Kähler manifolds. Secondly, we see that this invariant coincides with the former one. We also show that the invariant vanishes for any compact Vaisman manifold.  相似文献
