Let S be a regular semigroup. If there is a subsemigroup S * of S and a unary operation * in S satisfying: (1) x * ∈ S * \cap V_ S * (x) for all x∈ S; (2) (x * ) * =x for all x∈ S * ; (3) (x * y) * =y * x ** and (xy * ) * =y ** x * for all x,y∈ S, then S * is called a regular *- transversal of S ; if (3) is replaced with (xy) * =y * x * for all x,y∈ S, then S * is called a strongly regular *- transversal of S. In this paper we consider the class of regular semigroups with a strongly regular *- transversal. It is proved that these semigroups are P - regular semigroups. We characterize the structure of the regular semigroups with a strongly regular *- transversal.  相似文献

We revisit old conjectures of Fermat and Euler regarding the representation of integers by binary quadratic form x 2+5y 2. Making use of Ramanujan’s 1 ψ 1 summation formula, we establish a new Lambert series identity for $\sum_{n,m=-\infty }^{\infty}q^{n^{2}+5m^{2}}We revisit old conjectures of Fermat and Euler regarding the representation of integers by binary quadratic form x 2+5y 2. Making use of Ramanujan’s 1 ψ 1 summation formula, we establish a new Lambert series identity for ?n,m=-¥qn2+5m2\sum_{n,m=-\infty }^{\infty}q^{n^{2}+5m^{2}} . Conjectures of Fermat and Euler are shown to follow easily from this new formula. But we do not stop there. Employing various formulas found in Ramanujan’s notebooks and using a bit of ingenuity, we obtain a collection of new Lambert series for certain infinite products associated with quadratic forms such as x 2+6y 2, 2x 2+3y 2, x 2+15y 2, 3x 2+5y 2, x 2+27y 2, x 2+5(y 2+z 2+w 2), 5x 2+y 2+z 2+w 2. In the process, we find many new multiplicative eta-quotients and determine their coefficients.  相似文献

In this paper we establish a discrete Calderón’s identity which converges in both L q (ℝ n+m ) (1<q<∞) and Hardy space H p (ℝ n ×ℝ m ) (0<p≤1). Based on this identity, we derive a new atomic decomposition into (p,q)-atoms (1<q<∞) on H p (ℝ n ×ℝ m ) for 0<p≤1. As an application, we prove that an operator T, which is bounded on L q (ℝ n+m ) for some 1<q<∞, is bounded from H p (ℝ n ×ℝ m ) to L p (ℝ n+m ) if and only if T is bounded uniformly on all (p,q)-product atoms in L p (ℝ n+m ). The similar result from H p (ℝ n ×ℝ m ) to H p (ℝ n ×ℝ m ) is also obtained.  相似文献

Kizmaz [13] studied the difference sequence spaces e∞(△), c(△), and c0(△).Several article dealt with the sets of sequences of m-th order difference of which are bounded, convergent, or convergent to zero. Altay and Basar [5] and Altay, Basar, and Mursaleen [7] introduced the Euler sequence spaces eτ0, eτ0, andeτ∞, respectively. The main purpose of this article is to introduce the spaces eτ0(△(m)), eτc(△(m)), and eτ∞(△(m)) consisting of all sequences whose mth order differences are in the Euler spaces eτ0, eτc, and eτ∞, respectively. Moreover, the authors give some topological properties and inclusion relations, and determine the α-, β-, and γ-duals of the spaces eτ0(△(m)), eτc(△(m)), and eτ∞(△(m)), and the Schauder basis of the spaces eτ0(△(m)), eτc(△(m)). The last section of the article is devoted to the characterization of some matrix mappings on the sequence space eτc(△(m)).  相似文献

We consider the Riemann means of single and multiple Fourier integrals of functions belonging to L1 or the real Hardy spaces defined on ℝn, where n ≥ 1 is an integer. We prove that the maximal Riemann operator is bounded both from H1(ℝ) into L1(ℝ) and from L1(ℝ) into weak –L1(ℝ). We also prove that the double maximal Riemann operator is bounded from the hybrid Hardy spaces H(1,0)(ℝIsup2), H(0,1)(ℝ2) into weak –L1(ℝ2). Hence pointwise Riemann summability of Fourier integrals of functions in H(1,0)H(0,1)(ℝ2) follows almost everywhere.The maximal conjugate Riemann operators as well as the pointwise convergence of the conjugate Riemann means are also dealt with.  相似文献

This paper presents procedures for constructing irreducible polynomials over GF(2s) with linearly independent roots (or normal polynomials or N-polynomials). For a suitably chosen initial N-polynomial F0(x)GF(2s) of degree n, polynomials Fk(x)GF(2s) of degrees n2k are constructed by iteratively applying the transformation xx+x-1, and their roots are shown to form a normal basis of GF(2sn2k) over GF(2s). In addition, the sequences are shown to be trace compatible, i.e., the trace map TGF(2sn2k+1)/GF(2sn2k) fromGF(2sn2k+1) onto GF(2sn2k) maps the roots of Fk+1(x) onto those of Fk(x).  相似文献

A construction method is given to multiply the parametrs of an -circulant BGW(v=1+q+q 2+·+q m , q m , q m q m–1) over the cyclic group C n of order n with (q–1)/n being an even integer, by the parameters of a symmetric BGW(1+q m+1, q m+1, q m+1q m ) with zero diagonal over a cyclic group C vn to generate a symmetric BGW(1+q+·+q 2m+1,q 2m+1,q 2m+1q 2m) with zero diagonal, over the cyclic group C n . For any n-dimensional compact Riemannian manifold (M,g) without boundary and another compact Riemannian manifold (N,h), the authors establish the uniqueness of the heat flow of harmonic maps from M to N in the class C([0,T),W1,n). For the hydrodynamic flow (u,d) of nematic liquid crystals in dimensions n = 2 or 3, it is shown that the uniqueness holds for the class of weak solutions provided either (i) for n = 2, u ∈ Lt∞ L2x∩L2tHx1, ▽P∈ Lt4/3 Lx4/3 , and ▽d∈ L∞t Lx2∩Lt2Hx2; or (ii) for n = 3, u ∈ Lt∞ Lx2∩L2tHx1∩ C([0,T),Ln), P ∈ Ltn/2 Lxn/2 , and ▽d∈ L2tLx2 ∩ C([0,T),Ln). This answers affirmatively the uniqueness question posed by Lin-Lin-Wang. The proofs are very elementary.  相似文献

Let m be a v-moderate function defined on R d and let gL 2(R d ). In this work, we defineΩ m p (R d ) to be the vector space of fL m 2 (R d ) such that the Gabor transform V f belongs to L p (R 2d ), where 1 ≤ p < ∞. We equip it with a norm and show that it is a Banach space with this norm. We also study some preliminary properties of Ω m p (R d ). We also discuss inclusion properties and obtain the dual space of Ω m p (R d ). At the end of this work, we study multipliers from L w 1 (R d ) into Ω w p (R d ) and from Ω w p (R d ) into L w−1 (R d ), where w is the Beurling weight function. Let Λ be a finite dimensional algebra of finite representation type over a finite field k. For any modules A, B and Pin mod Λ with P projective, we prove that there exists a polynomial ? B (P over Z whose evaluation at |E| for any conservative finite field extension E of Λ is the sum of Hall numbers F B E C E A E where C E runs through isoclasses in mod Λ E and P E is the projective cover of C E . As a consequence of this result and its dual version, Hall polynomials ? E CA exist when C or A is semisimple. As applications of the main result, we obtain the existence of Hall polynomials for Nakayama algebras and some selfinjective algebras.

We consider the following two instances of the projective clustering problem: Given a set S of n points in and an integer k>0, cover S by k slabs (respectively d-cylinders) so that the maximum width of a slab (respectively the maximum diameter of a d-cylinder) is minimized. Let w* be the smallest value so that S can be covered by k slabs (respectively d-cylinders), each of width (respectively diameter) at most w*. This paper contains three main results: (i) For d=2, we present a randomized algorithm that computes O(klogk) strips of width at most w* that cover S. Its expected running time is O(nk2log4n) if k2logkn; for larger values of k, the expected running time is O(n2/3k8/3log14/3n). (ii) For d=3, a cover of S by O(klogk) slabs of width at most w* can be computed in expected time O(n3/2k9/4polylog(n)). (iii) We compute a cover of by O(dklogk) d-cylinders of diameter at most 8w* in expected time O(dnk3log4n). We also present a few extensions of this result.  相似文献
